I feel like people sensationalize smoking too much. Yes, smoking is shit for you, the cigarette industry is shit and exploitative and it is itself exploitative and designed to be addictive. ...But I don't think you're going to die from second hand smoke. I guess it's because I grew up in the south where people don't give a shit, but, you're not gonna get lung cancer because someone smoked vaguely near you. I think children might be a health risk for sure, but an adult? You'll be fine.
Not only is it incredibly unhealthy (as others have stated,) but the smell is terrible. Also, recently I had to renovate a house where the walls where so dark (and sticky) because the person who had lived in there had been smoking a lot.
I'd choose a partner that belched and farted on the first date than someone who did everything perfectly.
Is that some kind of fetish?
Is that some kind of fetish?
stop it, im at work i need to stop thinking about it.
hitler was a shit artist his paintings look like he barely knows to use vanishing points for perspective thats something you learn when your 12
hitler was a shit artist his paintings look like he barely knows to use vanishing points for perspective thats something you learn when your 12
His proportions are way off. Also I have heard he just couldn't draw people, but I've never seen an example of that.
but you will die, or at least get cancer. It'll take a while, but it'll happen.
Prolonged exposure of a long period of time maybe, but people act like if you're ever sitting outside next to someone who's smoking, you'll die. It's absurd. I dunno, Facepunch has the most rabid hate-boner for smoking, and it just bugs me. I grew up in an environment with people who smoked all the time. I get why you'd have a million and one problems with smoking. I grew up around people who smoked, and I guess I just grew tolerant of people who do, so it bothers me when people treat smokers like wandering poison dispensers. I have no love for smoking or the cigarette industry and it's extremely frustrating to me how family members can struggle to quit, but we treat smokers like dirty animals. We went from 'you can't smoke in these specific areas' to 'you can't smoke inside these buildings' to 'you can't smoke inside any building', to 'you can't smoke inside, or outside, go have a smoke on the moon'
Tumblr is Facepunch's trigger word and that's ludicrously hypocritical
Unpopular opinion with a certain kind of crowd but triggers and trigger warnings are bullshit, in the form that we've taken to using them that is

Many people in my family have smoke, and like 75% of them have ended up with some sort of issue with their lungs. It's a bad thing, but it doesn't make them bad people.
I find it kinda dumb how people here in Mexico get so riled up for Donald Trump's commentary on mexicans while Mexico is racist as fuck anyways. Not only to people from the south but also to people from other parts of the country and even native groups.

Stephen King is shit at horror. Maybe it's because I don't think horror works as a whole in a literary form, but still
Fur suits freak me the fuck out. I went to a comic expo a few days ago and there were tons of em. One of the most uncomfortable expos/cons I've been to in my life.
Stephen King is shit at horror. Maybe it's because I don't think horror works as a whole in a literary form, but still
I never understood the concept of horror literature. They can replicate anything from tension, to wonder, to adventure, to action, but I have never read a book that has instilled fear in me. I think horror needs visuals and auditory cues. Text on a page/screen just isn't enough.
Stephen King is shit at horror. Maybe it's because I don't think horror works as a whole in a literary form, but still
He can be a great writer, he's really good at fleshing out and creating great characters that you can connect with, and while straight horror doesn't really work, he does write good suspenseful plotlines and thrillers. And his short stories are almost all golden.
Racism is a bad, though stereotypes are sometimes true. But then again stereotypes are true not because of race, but because of the cultures forced on the race (example; Muslims and people who look like 'them' aren't very popular here, so muslims aren't given great opportunities and toughen up for it) I do however, Acknowledge that I am a massive racist. As a whole Black and white men scare me more than asian men, mostly because they have more severe looks and tend to be bigger. Though If the Asian is specified to be Thai, they become terrifying. Apart from the fact that a disproportionate amount of thai people are great fighters and practice their roundhouse kicks against living trees, I think that there's still some physical differences between the races that cause more or less intimidation.

6 million jews was not enough (User was banned for this post ("Trolling/Racist" - Starpluck))
I think Nationalism is bad and leads to very bad things [editline]e[/editline] like for example, WWI and uh WWII...
With the information recently coming out about the functions of the Russian government I think it is nearing the point where it would be fair to say that it either is rapidly approaching or has completely descended into fascism. If Putin manages to get his term extended it could only get more obvious if they put a Swastika on the flag and [del]invade[/del] come to the assistance of an oppressed Russian minority in Poland.
Children have rights that should not be stepped on but universally are, most importantly, freedom of thought, and it leads to very frustrating situations where children are subjected to abuse but cannot do anything about it because "tough shit you're a kid" we teach obey and accept all the bullshit we throw at them when they should be taught to question everything they read and everything they hear

Mass Effect 3 was generally regarded as a good game, just not the ending.
THT[WRATH;48092623']Mass Effect 3 was generally regarded as a good game, just not the ending.
I thoroughly enjoyed the endings to Mass Effect 3. Before and after the Extended Cut. And I'm the only person who has proudly said it.
The unpopular opinions in this thread are getting less and less unpopular and more of a ratings bank

It's great when you and the characters still have doubts if it's really haunted or if you're just imagining things and it's really tense with friendships falling apart and whatnot. Then it all goes to shit when the car goes 'rawr imma eat you all fuckers hueheuheueh' [editline]1st July 2015[/editline] (I don't know if that's an unpopular opinion about the book, it's an unpopular opinion about King being a turbogenius that never writes anything bad)
The unpopular opinions in this thread are getting less and less unpopular and more of a ratings bank
Were they not always so?
piercings and tattoos are hot
piercings that go anywhere except your ears generally look dumb as shit though [editline]2nd July 2015[/editline] and even then people get those awful ear stretchers
