most realistic artstyles are boring very good, but still boring
Ya see, I think a realistic artstyle for something obviously not realistic is one of the best things a developer can go for.
oh, I wasn't talking about games, I was talking about drawings and animation and stuff. Games with really good realistic styles are awesome (even if I still prefer more creative styles)
I don't quite get going on holiday to Mediterranean countries like Spain and Greece, and staying at a resort on a sunlounger, what's the big deal about it?
I hate Family Guy. I'd honestly watch South Park and The Simpsons over Family Guy. Despite that, I admire Seth McFarlane's rise to fame.
Bandai Namco should hire Crytek GmbH to reboot the Japan-only Mobile Ops: One Year War
I don't think Beyonce's music is good, and I don't think she's as attractive as everyone makes her seem to be.

I think Seth McFarlane is a douche bag, and all of his shows, and that one movie, sucks.
I think Seth McFarlane is a douche bag, and all of his shows, and that one movie, sucks.
I also don't buy the excuse people use that he 'actually totally hates Family Guy and wants it to end but contracts or whatever'. You say that, but then he goes and makes American Dad which is only a little bit better, and then he goes and makes The Cleveland Show, and now he's making this [t]http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1461168/images/o-BORDERTOWN-facebook.jpg[/t] I don't know much about Seth MacFarlane but with that many shit shows the contract excuse doesn't stand, either the dude's a slave or he's just plain makes shitty shows
well at least the artstyle is sorta different???
well at least the artstyle is sorta different???
Yeah it's shittier

Pretending that CSA imagery is about pride in your heritage kind of falls a part when you're not even from a state that was part of the south.
It is about pride in your heritage for a good majority of the people who fly it, it's just also used by bigots and rednecks who ruin the image for everyone else.
It is about pride in your heritage for a good majority of the people who fly it, it's just also used by bigots and rednecks who ruin the image for everyone else.
And that heritage goes back to the Southern economy running on slavery almost entirely. Why be proud of the oppression and subjugation of people? You people really need to stop this "but my heritage!" bullshit. You don't see regular people waving the Nazi flag and saying "it's my heritage and I'm proud of it!" unless they're a skinhead or a Neo-Nazi.

You're the idiot if you think every southerner was fighting and dying to protect slavery. It was a horrific part of our past, to be sure, but it was perpetrated by a very small, very rich minority who ran gigantic plantations. It was by no means practiced or condoned by a large amount of southerners, and I guarantee that if we gave it another few decades, it would have been phased about completely thanks to the Industrial Revolution. The stars and bars symbolize to me pride in the southern lifestyle and culture, not the systematic oppression and racism of our forefathers.
It is about pride in your heritage for a good majority of the people who fly it, it's just also used by bigots and rednecks who ruin the image for everyone else.
For the minority of people to whom it actually is about pride in heritage, it's about pride in a heritage that either was nothing to be proud of, or was outright made up (for example, the state of Kentucky currently has 72 monuments dedicated to the confederacy, despite it being a Union territory). I fucking hate how prevalent this neo-Confederate bullshit is.

But no, we gotta defend the southern soldiers who totally weren't fighting for slavery despite the majority of their secession declarations specifically saying they were, and were just so honorable and chivalrous in how they refused to take black soldiers prisoner and just executed them en mass if they surrendered. [editline]5th July 2015[/editline] War is absolute Hell, I'm not gonna deny that, but southern secessionists were and are the absolute scum of the earth and people need to just swallow their misplaced pride and accept reality already.
I think you misunderstand the whole thing- I'm not proud of the Confederacy or of what they did. For me and a lot of the people I know the flag represents the South as a culture and a people rather than the CSA itself. Most of us fly it because we love the South and we love our people, not because we hate minorities or want to secede again. I'll be the first to say that I'm glad the Union won and that slavery and everything the CSA stood for was wrong- but it doesn't mean that we can't or shouldn't have pride in ourselves and in our culture.
If I were in the american south right now, I'd get a pickup truck, and cover it in confederate flags. Not just the little flags and stickers. But with propper sized flags and larger flapping around in the breeze. Then, in the back of the truck, I'd have a KKK member hanging a black man with a fishing rod, rather like an oversized garden gnome. But on the front and back of the car, I'd have the words 'I am not a racist'. But in all seriousness; The stars and stripes isn't exactly an innocent flag either. You've got a country where corruption is legalized. You call it 'lobbying'. It's ridiculous.
Nothing ever is as black and white as people make it out to be.

He does like half the cast in both Family Guy and American Dad.

Maybe, idk.

I don't "get" the Metal Gear Solid series. It looks fun as a game, but the storyline seems to be 11 feet thick when it's "in brief".

That doesn't stop me from loving it though
yeah the first step to appreciating Metal Gear is to not take it seriously at all.
