While blank space was good I can't quite say she's stepped it up, shake it off was pretty shit.

Well, she's at least improved I guess.
Well, she's at least improved I guess.
I dunno, it's always been hit and miss when it comes to her
Well, she's at least improved I guess.
I remember liking her first album most. It was your typical twangy acoustic guitar country and I thought it was a nice mellow sound.
the last of us was boring
story is the only decent thing about it. gameplay is boring to the point where the writing makes jokes about it in-game (ellie makes a joke about the raft puzzles.)
The AI that was promised is a absolute lie and was my main selling point for it.
uncharted 2 remains to be their only amazing non-cartoon game

tbh even the story wasn't really that great, it was still pretty mediocre.

it missed alot of the "beautiful wasteland" it was going for
the giraffe scene at the end is what the entire game has been missing. there should of been more of those scenes.
Twitter is fucking stupid. I used it, experimented with hashtags and the like, and immediately thought to myself "god this is fucking dumb". What a retarded website. Hashtags, PFT god it was stupid in the beginning and it's stupid now.
why get so angry about something you don't even use
why get so angry about something you don't even use
because hashtag crap is everywhere
you cant even watch a show anymore without #<show name here> or something similar next to the channel logo that stays there the entire time you watch it.
and then there's those who make terrible hashtag jokes in normal conversation. those people exist and i have talked with them.

I'd take that as a clear sign they may be the sort of person I won't get along with personally. And as for the other part, a logo is quite easy to ignore.
Feminism is more necessary in today's society than ever before.
Actual Feminism or just Anti-men/Pro-Women ?
I'm sick of being on tumblr or anything where you see something about some dude being "an amazing dad" because he did his little daughters hair as a signal father. Come on, it must be hard. And you see some "feminist" post saying like "Oh great, so a man gets praise for doing something that is expected of women" and its just like... Fuck off. Let this man have his praise.
I'm sure if it was a stereotypical thing men do that a women did that was "expected of men" it would be a whole different story.

and if twitter hadn't made them popular, something else would have done it, or another annoying trend would've popped up like always. personally i really don't mind hashtags though? they can get obnoxious but it's not really something i get worked up over
Saying something is overrated is overrated

People use the word Feminism to describe equality, for some reason.
The Feminism you see on the internet is hardly anything like the actual movement.
Though Honestly, at this point dropping the word Feminism to describe it would probably do it good.

The idea that anyone would actually be capable of dropping the label to a substantial degree is ludicrous. People need to just learn to recognize and distinguish a satirical strawman when they see it.
I think Taylor Swift has really stepped up her game with songs like Blank Space.
i dunno, she's become too generic nowadays, like if she didn't have a distinctive voice i couldn't tell her songs apart from any other big pop star
i heard someone play blank space on an acoustic guitar at school and it sounded a lot better than the real version
like i know the whole "country sound" wasn't unique to her either but it was a welcome break to hear it on the radio a few years back in between all the other pop stuff
The thing is, i like Taylor Swift as a person, i just really don't like her songs.
I will literally, genuinely say Fallout: New Vegas is one of the best games ever made, which is amazing considering it was basically rushed by a third-party (who knew what they were doing, but still) in 2 years.
I've replayed New Vegas an obscene amount of times, no other games, besides possibly Dark Souls, come even close.
Yarr... each to his own, I know, but both Fallout 3 and NV made me retch. Both games had very interesting features, but now that I think of it, I think I just dislike the setting.
Everything is tan and broken. Every once in a while you'd stumble on a neat area or two but overall I remember having just no incentive to explore anywhere. It's all so barren and desolate and... post apocalyptic. Which I guess is kinda what they were going for.

Seriously.
Most of the criticism of "man-hating feminists" is based on the good ol' straw-feminist.

You know what's a shitty double standard? This crap right here
When a group of atheists are being fuckwits, they're a vocal minority. When a GGer does something crazy, "they don't represent all of us".
Why is it that when it comes to feminists, people act like the vocal minority has "tainted" the entire movement, to the point where suggesting dropping the term feminism altogether has actually become popular? Come on, seriously?

tbh, you could switch those three groups around however in that statement, and I'd believe someone on the internet thinks it
The Departed is an overrated film.
I enjoy it generally, but I think it's crap by Scorcese standards. Particularly I hated the writing. Maybe it's because Scorcese didn't write it, but everything sounds stilted and unnatural. All the lines that are supposed to be pithy and quotable just sound awkward and forced.

My English teacher a couple years ago asked who in the class would identify as a feminist. Me and one other dude raised our hands. Isn't that embarrassing? People don't want to be associated with the crazy radfem views and don't realize they're still in the minority (because most feminists are just people who think gender equality is cool stuff).
Radfems are so incredibly misunderstood. From Wikipedia:
Radical feminism is a perspective within feminism that focuses on the hypothesis of patriarchy as a system of power that organizes society into a complex of relationships based on the assertion that male supremacy oppresses women.
Radical anything is bad. Exept for the 90s.
Radical feminism is not OK in my eyes, largely because they are very oppressive and prejudiced towards trans people.
This being said, for the most part, I consider myself a feminist. The biggest problem with the movement, especially on Internet communities like Tumblr, is that social awareness isn't used as a means of personal growth but as a means of being superior to other people that are less informed.
Feminists are people who believe in creating equality between the sexes. Anyone who doesn't fit that description... ISN'T A FEMINIST
I prefer liberal feminism myself, because I don't hold to the conflict theory of society. Society isn't solely composed of groups of people in conflict with one another.
Is power at the heart of social relations? I wholly disagree.

I just hate how people act like those tumblr blogs are actually a big deal, or very common, or non satirical, because they're none of the above.

TERFs don't represent all radical feminists.
Many radical feminists, myself included, are trans.
The problem with radical feminism itself is the view of the source of discrimination and other problems that prevent equality of the sexes. I think that the real cause of this discrimination is rooted primarily in customary and legal restraints, rather than in gender relations.
