he blocked off the road to do illegal street racing which resulted in a persons death
he killed someone
seriously, he lied to the police saying he was just there but later admitted that he was blocking the road so drag racing could occur
Unless he actually crashed into that other car causing it to go off the road, or was driving the car that someone died in, he did not kill someone.
I feel like The Last of Us tried way too hard to make me cry.
The very first intro part got to me, but beyond that, it felt like it was WAY too forced. Plus I thought the Firefly's were being fucking stupid rebelling against the last remainders of the government who were trying to keep things safe
Like they tried to show you how awful the government was by having them scan some guys in the intro and kill one who was infected but like, there's no cure? and he's infected? What else are you going to do, toss him outside and let him mutate and send spores everywhere? or just end his misery before it gets even worse? Like seriously, that's not evil, sure it's morally grey, but it keeps the remains of humanity safe from being turned into fucking mushroom zombies.
well it was implied that he wasn't infected, and that it could have been a false positive
I didn't really get that, but I haven't played in a while and my memory is ass so maybe I just don't remember the implication
Overall though, my point is that it felt like they tried to force the image of "evil oppressors" onto the government remnants and killing them was fine, when to me it felt like I was murdering the last remnants of society trying to keep things in control the best they could.
Honestly, the fact that this discussion about the morals of the factions is happening at all is a sign of pretty good writing in some form.

The last few cities still occupied by the military are under eternal martial law and nothing is being done to restore society, that's why the fireflies are sick of that shit because they want to rebuild the world and not sit around trying to survive all caged up.
Skyrim is shit/
Skyrim's alright, but it's the weakest of the series no doubt.
- Unlike Fallout, you don't always have to commit to character builds
Why is that bad?
I don't like Morrowind
Why is that bad?
i think it's good that you can just change your character if you happen not to like it, but if you're not experienced or don't commit yourself to a single path you always end up with a mess of skills and stats, yknow? like, you get into it, and since you don't know what's best you just want to pick up a little bit of everything, but then you realize that your stealth tank archer-mage that occasionally uses two-handed weapons isn't all that great and every mission ends up being a drag
Planetary Annihilation is a fun game
Skyrim's alright, but it's the weakest of the series no doubt.
Are people disagreeing with it being alright, or being the weakest? Just wonderin'.
Fallout 3 was mediocre.
Fallout 3 is pretty great if you've never played another Fallout game before, or an RPG.
I hated the ship sections in Assassin's Creed 3...I didn't like the game as a whole, which isn't unpopular I'm starting to realize, but every review or critique I've read loses its shit over the naval battle sections. I thought they were tedious, difficult to control (especially firing those fucking swivel guns) and largely pointless. And I was always glad to finish those stupid ship missions, so when Black Flag was announced, I had a feeling of dread because I knew it was going to be the same thing.
Drake is great, he can spit and has the voice of an angel
[editline]16th January 2015[/editline]
a sexy angel
Speaking of Skyrim and Fallout and Asscreed, I can't invest myself in open world games with an abundance of side missions. I've never finished a rockstar title, and I've played damn near all of them. The only open world games I've beaten are Spider-Man 2, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Sunset Overdrive... And eh Destiny :s. All straight forward linear games that don't really need to be open world.
I guess it's because beyond the chunks of story you accomplish, all the momentum of the narrative is deflated by the mission ending and you being thrown back into the world. I've been enjoying the fuck out of Far Cry 4, but even as I think about it now I sorta don't want to play it because of this inevitable cycle of getting some cool designed story encounters and then "whoop, back to rng land"
Actually, I think Saint's Row IV is an exception. It's a pretty standard open world game and I did beat that. Maybe it's because the whole world seems to escalate and change as the story progresses.
I prefer Oblivion over Skyrim any day.
Also I thought the hobbit 1 was good, with the exploring and all. Seeing the world as the producers envisioned it was great. It had moderate action in it (which isn't bad in itself mind you) was interesting overall.
Then came the second movie which they packed a bunch of unnecessary action in (imo). It also had an weird love drama going on which I felt was way to forced. They could have made the film longer and end the series right there where they reclaimed their home.
The third move was pure garbage (imo), unnecessary action all the time, bad plot and weird grading throughout the whole movie. It was so boring I skipped over half the movie (which I have never even done before in my life) and when some the main characters died it was just a "meh" moment. It felt way to forced, and the series would've ended better with the second film.
I'm glad I didn't see it at the cinema, where it would be a total waste of money to see it. I saw it on swefilmer.com and what a waste of my time that was. Getting hyped over something shitty is not good. /end of rant.
I think that's a rather popular opinion actually.
The real unpopular opinion (which would be mine) is that the trilogy was pretty fuckin awesome and had bits of the old splatter era Peter Jackson in it and a more broad look at fantasy in general than the more focused LOTR and it made me feel all fuzzy
I might have said this before, but when it comes to tumblr, the worst part of the shit fandoms and the out-there sj blogs (that are serious instead of joking) is that they almost always encourage some form of bullying or abuse towards others in some way or another, which is really just awful and not on.
Avatar is an extremely overrated movie
Avatar is an extremely overrated movie
I don't think it's even good. The plot is so mindblowing simple; you can see so many plot points coming from a million miles away. I was calling shit WAY before it happened, makes for a boring film.
Unless he actually crashed into that other car causing it to go off the road, or was driving the car that someone died in, he did not kill someone.
Are you actually ok with the fact he contributed to the death of someone. Why are you trying to defend this guy.
[editline]17th January 2015[/editline]
and then shrugged it off to care about his shitty car and his sperg glasses
Singers who do those 'vocal arobatics' (things like melisma's or runs and what not) on normal songs (they're not always bad, but there's a difference between naturally incorporated and showing off) is utterly frustrating. People like Ariana Grande tend to try but only end up overdoing it or completely slurring words up.
Avatar is an extremely overrated movie
i think james cameron is an overrated director as well
Fallout 3 is pretty great if you've never played another Fallout game before, or an RPG.
Fallout could be an incredible series if Bethesda used a proper engine and spent more time on them
God 3 and NV are fucking disgustingly ugly and outdated, I love them and I put hundreds of hours in both but its sad that they aren't reaching their full potential
The entire point of NV was to get to the strip and when you finally get there its a puny little craphole split into 4 pieces with a maximum of 15 people in each area, such a shame
kpop is glorious
I think the Hobbit is overrated. Not a bad movie, but still overrated.
I think the Hobbit is overrated. Not a bad movie, but still overrated.
literally everyone hates them
PC games could do with Blu Ray discs when it comes to brick and mortar distribution.
I know most of the sales are digital now, though Canada is in a pretty shitty situation with ISPs (And looking at Comcast's douchebaggery, the US aren't doing too hot either)
literally everyone hates them
Really?
I see people praising them all the time. I watched the first one and I have little to no will to watch the rest.
Yeah getting to the Strip is extremely underwhelming.
Imagine hearing about an area so much and you finally get there and it looks like someone took a shit on a placemat.
Reminds me of Stalker: CoP, which is funny because the two series are sometimes compared for silly reasons. The titular area of the game is probably the least compelling.
