there are many jobs far more deserving of tips than waitering. there is absolutely no reason why I have to directly pay the waiter with my own money when I'm already paying for the food and all the fees associated with it.
If it'll make you feel better, in European countries such as mine the tip isn't regarded as something you HAVE to do, so it's entirely on one's good grace to give it or not In Italy, however, they invented something called "coperto": basically, if you go inside a restaurant or a bar and sit down you have to pay a stock amount of money regardless of what you order, from one to three euro
there are many jobs far more deserving of tips than waitering. there is absolutely no reason why I have to directly pay the waiter with my own money when I'm already paying for the food and all the fees associated with it.
There's plenty of reason in states where the legal minimum wage for waiters and other jobs who can receive tips is very significantly lower than the standard minimum wage for the state. I think it might have recently changed but here in Oregon the minimum wage is about $9/hour and for people working as a waiter or such the minimum is under $3/hour. Unless that sort of garbage gets changed those workers completely rely on tips (and often a second job because even that is not enough far too often) just to make a living. In states with laws like that by not tipping you are pretty much telling the waiter or waitress that you don't feel they did a good enough job to get paid.
Schools are too leniant now. Kids should be punished with an AUTHORATIVE smack, nothing too hard but hard enough to make a statement. ALL schools SHOULD be allowed to fail students in any class. Even Art, Music and Physical Education. School teachers SHOULD be allowed to treat their students as if they were their own kids if they are being bad. Bullying WITH proof should be result of expulsion, Bullying WITHOUT proof but assumed should be suspension.
WHY are you WRITING YOUR POST like it was MADE by Frank Miller or SOMETHING?
Frappé may refer to: -Frappé coffee, an iced coffee beverage made from instant coffee originally from Greece -A milkshake in New England
It's a milkshake in New York too [editline]26th March 2015[/editline]
Schools are too leniant now. And what classifies as bullying? Because by the General terms calling someone a name ONCE could be classified as bullying, and with that you'd have kids being expelled left and right for calling each other names. And teachers can fail kids in any class bruh, Atleast in NY, they just don't have to fail the grade with no child left behind laws. And how do you mean teachers should be allowed to treat students like their own children when bad?

My idea of bullying is classified as anything where the victim feels threatened for saddened by what has been said or done. Not something stupid like calling someone silly or something. A few schools in my area are not allowed to fail kids in some classes like Music or Art. Only allowed to pass them but with a comment on the work which i feel is a completely pointless thing. Once again, not sure about your country but a lot of schools near my area are not allowed to tell kids off anymore when they are naughty (some aren't allowed to say "no, stop that etc" they have to ask them to stop that by going "I would prefer if you didn't do that" where kids obviously wont listen) yet we know for sure their parents tell their kids off however they want. Im not on about a KO smack. Just an authoritive slap on the wrist. Just so they know not to do it. I'm refering to kids that don't know better, like Primary School.
Mother 3 is better than Earthbound in most ways.
Might & Magic would be better off in Bethesda's hands than in Ubisoft's.
there are many jobs far more deserving of tips than waitering. there is absolutely no reason why I have to directly pay the waiter with my own money when I'm already paying for the food and all the fees associated with it.
Something is not quite right if you have to get a tip to get a decent living. It should be illegal to have such low minimum wage.
Facepunch titles are basically signatures and it's a retarded idea to pay for them.
Might & Magic would be better off in Bethesda's hands than in Ubisoft's.
legacy didnt really engage me tbh
Facepunch titles are basically signatures and it's a retarded idea to pay for them.
and also like signatures all of them are terrible!
Facepunch titles are basically signatures and it's a retarded idea to pay for them.
I agree but I thought you couldn't buy them anymore.
I miss 2009's memes.
Facepunch titles are basically signatures and it's a retarded idea to pay for them.
It's worse that you can't have them at all anymore.

In those states where the waiters are initially paid below minimum, if tips don't make up the difference to meet federal minimum then the employer has to make up the difference. http://www.dol.gov/elaws/faq/esa/flsa/002.htm Whenever I bring this up (not directed at you guys specifically), people always say something along the lines of "real life is different than the law" or "my employer will fire me if I bring that up" which I find bullshit because even if that were the case, you as an employee have the responsibility to report that to the DoL. If your employer is paying you less than minimum AND you can't be motivated to report your him/her, then that's your own fault and there's still no reason for me to tip 10-20% of the total bill. Hell, the fact that the tip is based on the total bill is bullshit too while I'm at it. I didn't realize that if I had a $100 bill I suddenly have to tip another $15 minimum because you did your job. Which you are already paid to do.
legacy didnt really engage me tbh
Figured that BethSoft would be a good fit for Might and Magic seeing that Ubisoft's more interested in watching the franchise die and Bethesda owns the Dark Messiah devs. With that said though, i have to wonder if Bethesda would reboot M&M and say that Heroes 8 takes place in the Elder Scrolls universe.
I like 1980s Art Deco just as much as genuine Art Deco.
I don't love the United States.
I am against the death penalty not because I think life is precious, but because I don't trust our government and most people (including me) to make the decision between life and death for an individual. More importantly, giving the government the ability to kill someone wraps everything in tons of black-and-white rules when a lot of situations aren't black and white.
Like i stated. Im not on about a KO smack. Just an authoritive slap on the wrist. Just so they know not to do it. I'm refering to kids that don't know better, like Primary School.
You see that wors never goes down well when you're talking about anyone not just kids. Good luck getting most people to respond well to the authoritarian. In my books the less authoritarian behaviour the better, in 99.99% of cases it's just not needed but used anyway. Why can't people in positions of power treat people who aren't like people? If they do then those who aren't in power will treat those who are like people too. Look at teachers and students in schools, I imagine if schools became a complete police state grades would plummet and depression would rise in an insant.
I'm sure a lot of kids would learn to hate their teachers and want to rebel. Also, how can you measure whether or not a slap was necessary, or overboard?
I don't think schools prepare kids for the world
I don't love the United States.
I'm not patriotic for my country as a whole, I'm just patriotic for my region. Fuck the remaining 44 states, New England is the heart and soul of America. [editline]27th March 2015[/editline]
I don't think schools prepare kids for the world
Why do people keep posting obvious facts in this thread? It's called "Unpopular Opinions", boyos. :v:
As long as somebody doesn't directly harm somebody or something (in a logical way, so nothing like "but the bible!!"), I don't care if they are trans, gay, a furry, otherkin, a brony, etc. People that hate on people for something personal like those just need to grow up and stop being so immature and childish.
People who base their entire identity as a person around one aspect (brony, furry, loli, fetishes in general), are really sad and childish individuals. They need to grow up moreso than people who bash them. And that's pretty much 99% of those groups. They may not be harming others, but they're harming themselves socially and mentally, as some never mature due to the fact their entire identity is based off one thing. Then they find a group of similar people who never tell them what they do/say/think is wrong, so then they can't handle rejection of that one fetish or w/e. Because rejecting that is rejecting their entire life.
I wasn't really saying it to that extreme but I get your point, I was more meaning people that associate themselves with something rather than identifying soley as that. Also keep in mine that bronies/furries aren't necessarilly in the fandom because it is their fetish (since you threw them under the same category.)
the concept is furries as like making cartoons and being a community of artists of any skill level etc is pretty nice tbh, and anthropomorphic animals has a childlike innocence to it as it's reminiscent of kid's shows and so on which makes it cute in a way... But then u remember it's literally all about jackin off and it is Very Bad
I've known plenty of furries and bronies (mainly bronies) that aren't in it for the fetish. Hell, back when I was a brony, all my friends and I were merely in it for the show itself and thought those that fapped to it were kinda weird. The main reason you never really see the normal ones is because people like to blow things out of proportions and focus on the extreme side of things, especially on the internet. So that way it seems that the majority are obsessive fetishists, when in reality the opposite is true. And making fun of the extreme ones isn't going to help either, it isn't like they will magically realize what harm they are doing to themselves, in fact, it will probably make them more of outcasts since they feel like people just don't understand. Why do you think they are so stubborn when attacked? Its because they are used to the constant shit they get so they just continue doing their thing.
