Months ago I finished the videogame Gone Home on Steam and I thought it wasn't exactly the most heartbreaking title I've ever played, but only a small, charming puzzle story game, although the [sp]homosexual relationship reveal[/sp] was pretty easy to forsee from the start
I've discovered soon enough that, instead, the Internet hates Gone Home's guts, for reasons no one actually explained to me to this very day
Gone Home is fine. Not great, but fine. People just wanna hate on it because "SJWS IN MA VIDER GAMS NO WAY NO SIR!"
I don't know if this counts as an unpopular opinion since I don't really know anyone that does it but I listen to MIDI versions of songs I really like whether they're by an actual band or a recreation from a video game.
I can handle pressure fine, the issue is running out of time. Doing shit as fast as I could the whole time and going with the "you've answered it, who gives a fuck if it's right move on" mindset, there's no way I can do that. At a certain point, it becomes "how lucky are you" when you have to fill in all the bubbles you didn't answer randomly because you hit the five minute warning 3 minutes ago.
In terms of pressure, the literal only time I felt any sort of real stress was whenever a five minute warning was called and I had more than 10 problems left to go.
Like there's already enough pressure, since, if you're taking the ACT it's probably because you want to go to college and can't without, they don't need to make it where it's impossible to complete unless your brain is actually a computer.
The ACTs in general seem like a fucking joke.
It's all about how fast you can solve your problems, and the score is a combination of all of your results. Working fast =/= being skilled at something. Yes, one could say "your speed is a sign of skill", but what if you bomb, say, the science portion and everything else is okay? Well tough buthole, kiddo, because you ain't good enough says the system.
I'm going to have to take the ACT soon and I'm going to get absolutely bent-over-table buttfucked because it takes me a long time to do math since it just doesn't click with me.
I took the SAT back in the day. What are the differences between the ACT and the SAT?
I took the SAT back in the day. What are the differences between the ACT and the SAT?
Scoring system, organization of categories, and the universities that care about it.
Gone Home is fine. Not great, but fine. People just wanna hate on it because "SJWS IN MA VIDER GAMS NO WAY NO SIR!"
Some people think it got a lot of undeserved praise. Others just hate it because that's a popular bandwagon.
I don't like most alcoholic drinks. I can't stand rum, whiskey, and most beers.
The first one was good because they hid some adult humor in there, like the girl Shaggy meets being named "Mary Jane" and him saying that's his favorite name, or when Fred and Daphne switch bodies and Fred comments that he should look at himself naked in the mirror.
The rest were all awful though.
I remember reading somewhere that the adult humor that remained was the stuff they could get past the producers because originally it was supposed to be an adult-oriented comedy, which they then had to change to a children's film due to executive meddling.
I don't like most alcoholic drinks. I can't stand rum, whiskey, and most beers.
I'm not of drinking age here yet, but when I am I'm still not touching the stuff. I've never been able to stand the smell of it, I always used to leave the room when people were drinking.
Also, I don't mind Nickelback. I am of the opinion that they actually just wrote one REALLY LONG song, and decided to break it up into many little ones for us.
executive meddling.
And they would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling executives!
Goddammit as terrible as people make them out to be because they're scientologists, I adore Cruise and Travolta
Goddammit as terrible as people make them out to be because they're scientologists, I adore Cruise and Travolta
scientologists themselves aren't bad generally, it's the church that's a fucking leech on the system and ruins lives.
it's probably the most high profile cult I've ever seen actually.
Gone Home is fine. Not great, but fine. People just wanna hate on it because "SJWS IN MA VIDER GAMS NO WAY NO SIR!"
I don't dislike it as a narrative. I dislike it because it costs $20 when it's worth $5-10 at best.
Nacho cheese is best Doritos flavor
Nacho cheese is best Doritos flavor
This is for opinions not things that are objectively wrong
it's like you don't know what Chilli Heatwave is
Cool Ranch Master Race
Cool Ranch Master Race
christ, i didnt think that people like you actually existed
your opinion on the best flavor a corn based chip makes me unhappy
I like salt and vinegar chips more than Doritos.
Nacho cheese is best Doritos flavor
Sweet and Spicy Chili comes pretty close.
Doritos are disgusting
Women are far more sexual than society gives them credit for and I think women genuinely have a higher capacity to enjoy sex than men.
Multiculturalism is the best thing that has happened to society because now I can get doner kebab on chips and a curry pie in one round trip and live in ecstasy for 10 minutes.
People should be more proud of their own culture, and not strive to be some kind of universal human culture.
That being said, there is nothing wrong with multiculturalism. In fact, It's a good thing, provided it's a respectful meeting of different cultures rather then different cultures blending into one.
I like nacho cheese and cool ranch Doritos equally. In fact I wish they sold bags of Doritos that had an even mix of both kinds of chips.
It's the other flavors that I really don't like or care about. Originals 4 lyfe.
Doritos r gross
I think tattoos and piercings are unattractive.
I appreciate them as an art form, though.
tattoos are good but most piercings imo are straight fucked
tattoos are good but most piercings imo are straight fucked
Piercings are fine for ears and that's about it. I don't think they look good anywhere else.

Also I think there should be an age limit on such bodily alterations. I was at work yesterday and saw a man and his infant daughter who had studs in her ears. Something about that just feels wrong on so many levels.
Sour cream and onion? Hate it.
You have no soul.
I don't know what it is about them, but I really like allot of those shitty WWE produced movies. The marine, 12 rounds etc.
People should be more proud of their own culture
possibly unpopular opinion: i disagree, and i think its stupid to be proud of something you have absolutely no control over. to me saying "im proud to be american" is the same as saying "im proud of my jawline" or "im proud that i can eat a lot and still be skinny"
