The basic history of the Roman Empire, mainly its administration and ways of governing, should be taught in schools as an example of autocratic rule and its faults. Not just "they were corrupt", but just point out why they were corrupt, and why that system doesn't work like its said to
All in all, corruption was one of the MINOR problems of the later Roman Empire (I'm an ancient Rome fanboy)
All in all, corruption was one of the MINOR problems of the later Roman Empire (I'm an ancient Rome fanboy)
Exactly. The fall of the Republic and the rise of Autocracy should be talked about to ensure that people understand the ways and tactics that people use to get into power.

Nintendo isn't completely wrong with their Youtube monetization program but they could do it much better.
To be honest, the Roman system was broken from the outset.
Yep, a multitude of factors contributed towards this brokenness - the senatorial system, having to plump out your purse during your governorship, the expensive rise up the cursus honorum, bribes and incomes, the votes of the majority counting for next to nothing if they weren't in a rural tribe, discrepancies in the governorial stipends, political peculation, and demagoguery, to say nothing of everything else.
I think the SNP and Plaid Cymru should be banned from being in the election as they only represent one country and only have that one country's interests at heart.
I'd like to see more game franchises like Quake and early Final Fantasy where they're linked in terms of themes and mechanics rather than actual directly linked stories.

Starting with MW1, unless it's a sequel, it's part of a new storyline. Ghosts, Black Ops, Modern Warfare, now Advanced Warfare, they all play very very similarly, but the stories and worlds are all different. Not exactly the same, obviously, but I can see similarities.
We actually have it pretty nice over here compared to the European countries and Australia/NZ. The problems we have here is just that ISPs are money-grubbing assholes and our government is still run by old men who think the internet is the spawn of Satan. [editline]9th April 2015[/editline] I agree with you about the Blu-Ray stuff, but the western hemisphere has much better internet quality of service than the east.
I do anything to have American internet service. Brazillian internet is the fucking worst. We have internet service that is worse that the one in Africa. FUCKING AFRICA!!
To be honest, the Roman system was broken from the outset.
SAY WHAT, YOU ANGLO-BARBARIAN BITCH
Bronies and furries are just outright weird Oh and weeaboos.
Bronies and furries are just outright weird Oh and weeaboos.
I'd say they're just about as weird as an obsessed over-the-top loud-mouthed Whovian. The content matter isn't so much the problem as the people who make it a lifestyle.

I can understand liking anime to a large extent since there's a lot of it and the obsessed people tend to be the actual demographic but with bronies is just a tad fucking odd. As for furries, just no.
SAY WHAT, YOU ANGLO-BARBARIAN BITCH
That it was broken :^)

I don't care if you're a furry, a brony, a gigantic weeaboo, if you're not trying to force me to like your hobby every 5 minutes, I probably won't mind or care.
The content matter isn't so much the problem as the people who make it a lifestyle.
You reminded me of my unpopular opinion: we shouldn't care what lifestyle people choose like, as long it's not genocide infanticide is debatable
You reminded me of my unpopular opinion: we shouldn't care what lifestyle people choose like, as long it's not genocide infanticide is debatable
I think we really shouldn't care unless they're actually harming others with it. An argument could be made for when they're being legitimately annoying about it but that's a matter of them not getting that others aren't into the same shit as them and not everyone is like that anyways.
SAY WHAT, YOU ANGLO-BARBARIAN BITCH
Briton stronk Roma we war you
The "it's okay you are not alone" thing doesn't make me feel any better; It just makes me feel worse knowing that there are lots of other people that share the same calamities.
The "it's okay you are not alone" thing doesn't make me feel any better; It just makes me feel worse knowing that there are lots of other people that share the same calamities.
But having other people onthe same issue increase your own understanding of it with their personal point of views, not mentioning the possibility of gaining actual allies against it
it kinda comforts in some way knowing that there's people out there that had worse than me. Such is human nature I guess...
You reminded me of my unpopular opinion: we shouldn't care what lifestyle people choose like, as long it's not genocide infanticide is debatable
Lifestyles can be harmful to others and to themselves, so I care.
I don't mind the taste of orange juice and toothpaste.

Tyler the Creator is unbearable
You reminded me of my unpopular opinion: we shouldn't care what lifestyle people choose like, as long it's not genocide infanticide is debatable
i think genocide is great!
Some car unpopular opinions: -cars are a boring topic -top gear is cool but overrated -there's nothing wrong with "pussy cars" such as a prius like lmao to me a good car is one that gets me wherever and i won't have to pay a ton of money on gas. team ford focus represent
The mood who changed the title of this thread missed the joke hard

I don't hate Vladimir Putin. I dislike people that say the US is a great country.
