Burritos are a million times better than tacos. Also as fast food mexican goes, taco bell sucks. You want fast food mexican, you ought to go to Taco Bueno, but that's only in southern states. Taco Casa is also pretty good but they're apparently so small they don't even have a wikipedia page. [editline]e[/editline] but really as long as you're not eating at fuckin' Del Taco you should be alright
It should be legal to speed through protests that are intentionally blocking a freeway. If someone gets run over it's just them neglecting their safety
because usually protests are meaningless... and murder is okay
It should be legal to speed through protests that are intentionally blocking a freeway. If someone gets run over it's just them neglecting their safety
and ya know, speeding through a busy area with full awareness of what you're doing isn't retarded at all.
Facepunch is too hard on religion. WoW is actually a decent MMO if you dedicate the time to it. Nicolas Cage isn't that bad of an actor besides National Treasure.
I feel so conflicted with all 3 of these. One of them i completely agree with, another i'm complete opposite end of the scale.
I can understand why some people join ISIS because the group preys on the vulnerable and grooms them into joining much like Scientology and other cults do.

The Dark Knight was just a good film. [sp] the only reason its so "amazing" was because HL died. like most things, death sells [/sp]
What, do you think that someone's just going to look at everything they ever believed in and stood for and say "well, that was a giant fucking lie".
idk thats more or less what I did
I disagree, I think it was a great crime drama that's going to be remembered for decades to come. I think HL's death helped the films success, but it didn't make it a better film. His performance did. I never was on the "best movie of all time" bandwagon, though. A lot of people REALLY like that movie, and for good reason. I can just think of better movies to name the "best of all time".
On this note, and I notice this opinion is becoming less unpopular as time goes on, I think Dark Knight is a great crime drama but not the best of the Nolan Batman movies. Batman Begins was better. It feels much more... Batman-y. TDK could have just been about a badass gravelly-voiced cop chasing a psycho killer and little would change. Oh and also, Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was good, but I don't really think of it as being very Jokerish either. He's more of a vaguely clown-themed sociopath.
But if that was his point, I don't think he did a very good job making a good character out of it. I think there are tons of jokers (maybe not movie jokers) that are far more interesting. Ledger's Joker is just a well-acted murderer in clown makeup. He's nothing like as volatile and unpredictable and fun as he is in other sources.

I still wonder why people don't hate Tim Burton's vision of the Penguin, then

I just felt like it was the Van Gogh effect. Where the value became better once he died.
Oh yeah, I'm not saying it's impossible. It's just really, really hard for most people to do, especially after they've become an adult. Most people get set in their ways around that time and religion is no exception.
That's why overly-religious parents "force" religion on their children when they're younger because they are less likely yo think about it. Hence why they don't introduce religion to them in their teens ; they have developed to make their own beliefs.
The Dark Knight was just a good film. [sp] the only reason its so "amazing" was because HL died. like most things, death sells [/sp]
The movie was fucking amazing. And to be fair, Heath Ledger's acting of Joker in that movie was worthy of an oscar anyway.

The bank heist in the beginning is easily the best scene, and I wanted a movie of that shit and the Joker bits, without the Batman ties. It would be great if instead of the Joker, HL was just a psycho of some kind, still taking all the nods but without the movie having the Batman franchise tie. I think it's a good movie, but it would have been way better if it wasn't a Batman movie. I guess it just goes back to my feeling that Batman is an utterly bland character most of the time and adds little to nothing to even the Batman universe except occasionally batnipples.
If Batman is a utterly bland character.,then you have been thinking of the wrong Batman your whole life :v:. But i won't judge you, you are right in way too.
Batman is an utterly bland character most of the time and adds little to nothing to even the Batman universe except occasionally batnipples.
You are talking about a complex anti-hero, good is not nice crusader who, starting from The Dark Knight Returns, has been mainly poretraied as a man with serious twisted psyche, on pair with even the worst members of his rogue gallery Regarding the noir/crime movie nature of the Dark Knight, well, yes: a large chunk of the Batman's mythos isn't about your typical DC super villains with magical/genetic super powers but far more mundane criminals (see Black Mask, the Penguin, Two-Face and the whole Batman: Year One story for references). Personally, I like both sides of the Batman universe and switching between the two as the story demands (I remember being extremely pissed at Batman: Arkham Origins because the Year One premise, with the mafia and such, was quickly put aside in favor of the usual super criminals we all know about)
Don't get me wrong: I absolutely love guns. But a lot of times the gun culture in America disturbs or outright frightens me.
Don't get me wrong: I absolutely love guns. But a lot of times the gun culture in America disturbs or outright frightens me.
I think people should be able to have guns (And really, just about every gun that exists imo, as long as they're willing to put in time and paperwork), but a lot of people sound as if they absolutely can't wait for a chance to blast some robber.

In 60's Batman he's hardly a psychopathic criminal, more of an extremely dangerous nuisance.
But the Joker is a sociopath?
Yes, but that's not his only interesting or defining characteristic. [editline]15th April 2015[/editline] Ted Bundy was a sociopath, but Ted Bundy in clown makeup does not the Joker make. Everything in TDK is FATE OF GOTHAM FATE OF GOTHAM JOKER IS MURDERY WATCH OUT FOR BOMBS but he's not always like that. Sometimes he's just there to fuck around with Batman. That's why he's the Joker. Sometimes he shoots police commissioner's daughters. Sometimes he grabs Batman's ass. Half the fun is the dark humor, but apart from the laugh (which ain't bad) Ledger's Joker is all dark practically no humor. That bores me. Nicholson did that much better.
I dunno, I had a laugh with his "magic trick" toward the beginning.
Sunset is my least favorite time of day.
^everybody knows that morning (8 AM - 11 AM) is the best time of day
^everybody knows that morning (8 AM - 11 AM) is the best time of day
8 am to noon passes too quickly for me. The real good time is late afternoon through early evening.
