But PE was awesome.
Try being bad at PE. Screamed at for being useless, judged because I hated sport and expected to become great over a week. Also, whenever my school passed around a survery asking for suggestions on what money should be spent on, anyone that didn't put something to do with PE was 'weird' or a 'nerd'.
No, I just don't like having rugby balls thrown at me.
aldo I have aspergers syndrome which can make social situations fucking suck sometimes so what you said abouttakinfthings for granted, I get that. I have to put in more effort than othe rpeople and eve then it feels like Im.just playing an act most of the time which sucks

MGS3 is the worst metal gear game.
Death Grips is pretty shit.

holy shit PE was the worst thing ever, being yelled at for being stupid, knee problems being passed off as "growing pains", being paired with the slower kid because apparently everyone else was too mean, no one being allowed to stop running laps until the PE teacher saw me "sprinting", being forced to do weight training while no one taught me how to do any of it, and just generally being in a PE class full of people more fit and skinnier than me is the most discouraging thing ever
the only PE I ever had that wasn't completely terrible was the one I went to in a Montessori private school in elementary. god those teachers were so nice and understanding, one of them had a degree in child psychology and everything so of course everybody loved her to death
But PE was awesome.
PE was great when I had it for the first class one year, or when I had it for the last class another year. It's pretty great being able to arrive at/leave school in your PE gear instead of your uniform.
Conversely PE sucked ass the year I had a maths period in between. Come in from break, change into PE gear and do PE, change into uniform to do maths, change back into PE gear to do PE, change back into uniform before lunch. It didn't help that I was a prefect that year and had to arrive to class late and leave early.
Phys Ed was the worse in Middle School, I couldn't imagine how much I got laughed at because I needed to wear shorts so I can get a grade. At least High School was much better and we even lift weights.
MGS3 is the worst metal gear game.
I think it's not the worst Metal Gear game, but it's definitely overrated, and set the series down this weird path of dumb, goofy installments, as opposed to the post-modern masterpiece that was MGS2.
Physical Education was hardly education.
All we did was run laps around a field for the first half of the block, then played whatever sport the gym teacher desired for the later half.
I literally learned nothing in those classes other than the fact that I hate sports, which I already knew beforehand.
one time in PE in 8th grade someone tried to pants me while i was in gym shorts
they also took my underwear off
this was in front of ~70% of the class, sitting on the bleachers

So uh.. Did you get anything :?
Your enjoyment in PE is entirely based on who's in your class, honestly. When you're with friends it can be the best class of the day, but conversely, if you're alone in a class of tryhards it's unbearable.
The "if you'll do that, you'll be just like him" argument is a flimsy supposed moral excuse to let assholes and seriously deranged people to get away with what they do absolutely scot free
or a way to stop certain bad cycles from continuing

not every game has to be a post-modern piece of art (i agree MGS 2 is great however) and i don't think it should be blamed as the one that started making the series more goofy when it was still plenty grounded in reality.
i blame MGS 4 for being the point where everything went completely off the wall. peace walker was even worse. i'm even admittedly a bit worried about V because Kojima is suddenly going from what's been the wackiest, dumbest entry of the series so far, to one that's supposed to be dark and grim.
metal gear always had wacky moments ever since it started; that's one of the core themes of metal gear itself
friggin MGS1 had a guy who shit himself and a part where snake (could) use ketchup to make the guard think he was dead so he could escape
the early NES game had POISONOUS HAMSTERS
although Peacewalker's tie in with monster hunter was straight up the raddest thing ever created
you could COOK RATIONS and invent DORITOS
I've never had any interest in metal gear... idk why
or a way to stop certain bad cycles from continuing
The whole "revenge cycle" idea still doesn't take into account that some men and groups really must be stopped by any mean necessary
I know it's ugly, and as a student of law I'de prefer agreements and conventions to allow us to leave peacefully with each other on equal terms, but there are some individuals who can only understand fear and violence. And the law can't do jackshit about them
The Death Penalty should be abolished completely in the US. Reading the numbers, about 60% or so support it, it's far more expensive, it's petty revenge, executions get botched, all sorts of reasons to abolish it completely.
[editline]21st April 2015[/editline]
even former death row inmates feel that life in prison without parole is a fate worse than death. I really hope at least one Juror on the Boston Bombing case does not want the Death Penalty, because it needs to be unanimous for the death penalty to go through.
hope that fucker serves life in a nice supermax facility in what amounts to a bathroom.
As one writer put it, when talking about the boston bombing case. "In a democracy, justice is not for the victims; they can never be restored, their lives put back as they once were. The state intentionally takes the process out of their hands to ensure that justice is cool-headed and deliberate instead of red-hot and vengeful". The Death Penalty is just vengeance, pure and simple. A life in prison without parole is a far better option, for one since they actually have to live with the consequences of their actions. In addition to that, life w/ parole really does cost less. In Kansas, annually a prisoner who is on death row costs about $50,000. A prisoner who has life without parole costs about $25,000 dollars. Not to mention the money saved from not having to deal with the capital cases as they are EXTREMELY expensive, and the appeals process is expensive as well.
The US is one of two Industrialized Democracies in the world with the Death Sentence. The other is Japan. It's ridiculous that we violate human rights in such a terrible way, we need to catch up with the rest of the world in that regard.
I'm really not a sports person but I thought PE was fun when it was just casually playing sports. I just hated running laps.
[editline]21st April 2015[/editline]
But yeah, nobody in my class was ever really competitive.
Damn, you Americans sure got some shitty PE teachers. Here in Sweden all my PE classes were good. No screaming at each other, no teacher bullies etc.
Playing football and basketball and orientation was the most fun I had in school. It didn't matter that some people were "bad" or average in those sports. Everyone had a great time.
Now the showers were another thing all together. Some of the "bullies" or "cool" kids at school liked to photograph other students wangs in the changing room with their cellphones. Then they would share it with a lot of other students.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 is the most fun NSMB game.
(I think this is unpopular? I thought people hated that game for some reason.)
I think Portal 2 is a great game but theres a big portion of the game that is basically "find the white tile in all the brown surroundings"

The dreaded Old Aperture section
The dreaded Old Aperture section
it sucks though because the test chambers in that section are amazing with all the gel
its just that between every 2 minute chamber its 5 minutes of find the white

I sometimes feel people who are against the death penalty simply because it's "cheaper" don't really care about the human right's aspect about it. That, and those who are against it because life in prison is "worse because they'll suffer longer".

The people who say that life is worse and that's why the death penalty should be abolished have always creeped me out a bit, but for me the "it's cheaper" argument is useful for trying to persuade people who couldn't give two shits about whether prisoners live or die, even though I really just want the death penalty abolished because I think killing people who aren't an active threat is inhumane, no matter who's doing it.
I think the death penalty should be abolished, and people sentenced to life should be given the option of assisted suicide.

Oh yeah sure. MGS3 had no poignant moments, all it was was guys who controlled bees and throwing snakes at people. Meanwhile MGS2 was all clever dialogue and philosophical naval gazing, it didn't have a dumb vampire who rode a harrier, or a roller skating, cocktail sipping bomber, or Doctor Octopus as the president, and it certainly didn't do dumb shit like focus on Emma pissing herself, or have an extended section where the main character was naked.
Alright, I'm gonna say this...
I think ben affleck is gonna be a great batman and I liked Daredevil
