I'll concede I like the look of the new HK293 variant

But yeah I hate the others.
I think piracy is a bad thing and it's without a doubt harming the entertainment industry (which some people claim is completely false (????))
i think the argument is less about piracy not harming the industry at all and more about it doing less harm than some people think. yeah, companies lose millions because of it, but one pirated movie =/= one lost sale, as some people seem to think
If you eliminate all piracy, a lot of people wouldn't automatically go out and buy stuff. They need an incentive for paying for things. I enjoy paying for things when I feel a sense of support for a group of people I care about. If they can replicate that feeling in the music, movie, and software industry in a way that feels close to personal, I think it would work.
And no, not with a shitty Spotify clone with bad ads.

I think DRM free would ironically enough reduce piracy a great deal. You'll never get rid of the people who think they deserve free stuff, but a large part of piracy is the obsessive and intrusive DRM everyone puts in to everything these days. Everything is locked into a client and unable to be used without the client running.
I think Jeremy Clarkson deserved to get fired - not necessarily for the most recent incident alone, but for it and his past combined.
I think Jeremy Clarkson deserved to get fired - not necessarily for the most recent incident alone, but for it and his past combined.
No, I don't think he did much in his past to warrant anything. I think the incident alone is good enough.

It's really disgusting how people just handwave him punching a man in the face for something as trivial as not having a warm dinner. He was under stress, yeah, but that's an explanation, not an excuse. I'm glad the BBC finally cut him out, he's nothing but a racist old twat.
When did he punch anyone? Didn't they just shove each other and that's it?

The guy he hit forgave him, and wished to continue to work with him, imo the bbc should have let it fly that time.
They probably just wanted an excuse to fire him, and that was perfect.
It was a legitimate reason to fire him. You can't just go around assaulting people. Being a big BBC star shouldn't suddenly make it OK.
The guy he hit forgave him, and wished to continue to work with him, imo the bbc should have let it fly that time.
That I don't agree with. Whether you make it up or not, assaulting someone is not ok at work. If I was a manager you can't say I wouldn't be 100 percent justified in firing an employee for punching another in the face in the workplace, even if they made up. The only difference is that Clarkson is a big star.
if the guy who assaulted his producer wasn't Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear and instead some other celebrity i'm sure most of FP would be calling for them to be fired

Because they like him, it's suddenly ok, but imagine if Kanye West punched a guy in the face, people would be practically calling for his head.
Consumer > content creator.

"My employee may have snapped and assaulted a coworker but it's fine since he said sorry"
Nah bub, it doesn't work like that, you fuck up, you fuck up. No amount of sorry makes up for punching a guy.

Case and point: Chris Brown
I like really bad joke remixes.

I hate it when people use capitalism as a flimsy excuse to justify their greed.
Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should do it imo.
Mainly talking about healthcare and insurance. The more I find out about the parties it makes me want to pull out my hair.

Libertarianism is basically the best example of this mindset.
JokeMixes really depend on how much the songs fit with one another. If it doesn't work beat-to-beat, it falls flat

Don't know anything about that other than what my idiot cousin says and that Ron Paul is involved somehow.

Basically, privatize everything, "Bootstrap your way to the top!", and fuck you if you're poor, it's your own fault, even though your sweatshop is paying you pennies a day, it's your fault.
Imagine a dystopic society with mass unemployment and poverty, with a few ultra-rich megacorporations owning police, fire response, hospitals, and government. Boom, Libertarian dreamland.

The Libertarian party's usual stance, sure, but libertarianism is much more broad than that.

The Liberal Democrats have some good policies on education.

The kind of Libertarianism peddled by Ron Paul is what I described, though. The actual libertarians who aren't selfish assholes are pretty rare these days, it seems.

Quite annoying when groups takes existing terms and cause confusion. Anti feminists trying to call themselves humanists are another good example.
Here's an unpopular opinion:
I don't give a shit at all about gaming news. I am almost never excited. I don't care about what new game is coming out, or about a new title in a franchise. I have never been hyped for Half-Life 3. I don't follow news sites. It's not interesting.
I look back and I see how bizarrely invested people get when it comes to gaming and I feel like people need to chill out. People have always been so anal about Half-Life 3, and so hyped for things like the MGS series. I just don't understand it.
The one thing that interests me is Source 2, but other than that I just cannot relate to other people's exaggerated emotions for gaming news/culture/etc.
