Man-Thing deserves a movie more than any of the other dumbnerd Marvel superheroes.
im hype for ant man because fuck yeah tayne
I'm more excited for Ant Man than I ever was with Thor and Captain America. v:v:v
thor is a decent movie but i really enjoyed captain america
the trailer for ant man was good as fuck though
i "like" payday 2 for certain bits like the games design and characters but the actual game is fucking terrible
Be specific. For instance, 60 FPS movies would look terrible.

Imagine wanting a movie that looks like a soap opera.
The only reason it "looks like a soap opera" is because people continue to say "it looks like a soap opera!" and so the only thing we let be produced in 60fps is a soap opera.
The Hobbit looked really good in 48 fps.

I think it's ugly not because of anyone telling me it's a "soap opera" effect or something, I haven't even seen a soap opera before, I just think it looks like shit.
People that're fine with games being in 60 fps, but not shows and movies are really odd.
It looks like real life to me idk
I mean, it's objectively closer to real life. Some people just apparently don't want that in their movies.
I mean, it's objectively closer to real life. Some people just apparently don't want that in their movies.
Personally, I like the clear divide between reality and movies.
If i watch something at 60fps vs 30fps, i'll only notice it for like 30secs, then i get used to it and i don't think of it anymore.
Better fps looks great on paper, but i'd rather pick whatever is most stable, as i won't even notice it after a few seconds.

people want games at 60 FPS because it requires actual input from the player, and the extra time to respond and make adjustments is required in many situations
films don't require any input from the audience, and have been at 24 FPS since the medium began. making a sudden switch to more than double that framerate is incredibly jarring.

I understand why they find it weird, it was hard to adapt to The Hobbit for the first few minutes, but I think it's a better standard and if we don't move past the weirdness, we'd be missing out.

I understand that (I wasn't trying to be snarky when I said some people don't want that, I know they sincerely don't), I just don't agree.

What are you talking about, the human eye can't see past 30 frames per second.
What are you talking about, the human eye can't see past 30 frames per second.
I really wish we could find the source of this misinformation. I really don't know what people get this idea from.
What are you talking about, the human eye can't see past 30 frames per second.
The eye can see infinite frames per second. It's the brain that only processes information at a given rate which changes depending on various different factors.
pretty sure pliskin's post was a joke...
Tv shows and movies above the norm of 24fps actually make me naseous, I'd rather not they become the norm.
[editline]10th May 2015[/editline]
I get motion sick relativey easily, I'm pretty sure it has something to do with me not having any sort of input as I can play games with a higher FPS fine.
What are you talking about, the human eye can't see past 30 frames per second.
The human eye can see far more than 30 frames per second. It's just a minimum of 24 frames per second for the brain to reconize it as a articulated movement.
I just think high frame rates in video and film look ugly, simple as that.
The human eye can see far more than 30 frames per second. It's just a minimum of 24 frames per second for the brain to reconize it as a articulated movement.
There's actually no set FPS at which a movement starts looking fluid. It works at 24 fps for movies because it usually has high motion blur, but if you were to make the individual frames more crisp, it would end up looking like it stutters.
Babies aren't cute.
Storm Troopers isn't funny at all.
It feels rather forced.
Unpopular opinion here on Facepunch after the 'oh my god this is the greatest thing ever wait now it's popular so it sucks' cycle has completed, but FNAF is good, or at least a force for good, even if the fanbase can be very fucking obnoxious. The game itself is pretty alright even if it's not your thing, and hell, while people accuse Scott Cawthon of making it in to a cash cow because these games come out every few months, I think that has more to do with wanting to make a sequel for the art of it and not much production time being needed on these games than "NEED MORE MONE"
The entire reason he started making these games in the first place was because he felt that was what he was supposed to do, not to make a million billion dollars
Besides, there's at least one instance of Scott publicly donating $249,999 dollars to charity, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's donated more privately. That alone justifies putting up with a bunch of fan theories and furry porn to me.
Babies aren't cute.
You mean human babies
Babies aren't cute.
Some are, most aren't. I hate thinking this because everyone, even if they know you don't think babies are cute, wants to show you their baby and then you have to fake like they're adorable.
The best my attitude gets towards babies is that a lot of them are pretty chill dudes.
I tread a line somewhere between agnosticism and atheism, but I don't have a hateboner for religion like some people do.
Just let people believe what they want, and if something extreme comes out of, figure out the actual root cause of that issue (for example, some Islamic Extremists were drawn to the training centers specifically because they lacked food, but the centers gave them food, shelter, and purpose. That's not an inherent fault of religion, but of poverty.)

Sometimes the religion itself is the root cause though. You don't necessarily have to be disadvantaged to adhere to a harmful ideology.
You mean human babies
Of course, animal babies are the tits.

I'm having this strange feeling that you're talking about Islam atm.
While Islam certainly has it's fair share of extremists who adhere to a specific version of it (Wahhabi specifically), it's definitely not the root cause of the issues in the Middle East with extremists. What has been going on in the Middle East was a perfect storm of a lot of different issues, ranging from poverty to Western intervention into Middle Eastern affairs, and even the break up of the Ottoman Empire (when the British split those territories up, they did in one of the most shit ways possible).
I think that Rotten Tomatoes movie rating system is completely awful.
They label the most boring films "breath taking" "10/10" "best film in history" and a good 90% of them are the same boring ass genre (drama)
Whenever they rate a movie highly, im duped into watching a terribly boring film with nothing exciting a good 80% of the time, and the other 20% the movie is just "OK". Yet they rate some awesome films that are exciting, funny, adventurous and with relatively acceptable+ acting like 4/10 and come up with some bullshit excuses like "no depth" (they use "no depth" pretty much in every review they do when they dislike films)
