All RTS's are bad, TBS all the way.
You say that like Rome: Total War doesn't exist
I can't stand real time combat from a top down or isometric perspective, it feels like a total clusterfuck.
Oculus Rift is a gimmick device only for people with a lot of money in their pockets.
So.. first person? Are there even decent first person RTS's?
Rise And Fall was pretty good. Third person instead of first person, but close enough. You could take control of a hero unit and kill enemy units and buildings. It had no depth at all, you basically just ran around mashing the left mouse button until everything was dead. :v:
Oculus Rift is a gimmick device only for people with a lot of money in their pockets.
I don't think it's a OMG GAMIMG IS CHANGED THING. But a enhancement along the lines of a bigger monitor. And the price most likely won't be that bad
I can't stand real time combat from a top down or isometric perspective, it feels like a total clusterfuck.
Isometric controls in general are bad. Why make everything move diagonally if we've always designed joysticks/d-pads and directional schemes to follow the up-down-left-right pattern?
Oculus Rift is a gimmick device only for people with a lot of money in their pockets.
There is a lot you can do with VR. It's another level of immersion that can be used for all types of stuff that isn't limited to gaming. To suggest it's a gimmick is an admission that you don't think outside the box.
Man of Steel is better than The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron This is a fresh one
i havent seen avengers 2 but there are very few things that are worse than man of steel
Oculus Rift is a gimmick device only for people with a lot of money in their pockets.
i stand by the belief that VR is the future, and even if the oculus rift doesn't end up being a huge thing, it at least played a big role in kickstarting new interest in the technology and increasing its development. Pixar's style of people is like the anime style of the west. And it shit.
i havent seen avengers 2 but there are very few things that are worse than man of steel
I'm surprised by how few people agree with me, but I really do think Zack Snyder is poo at doing movies. I really can't say there's anything of his that I've liked except maybe 300 but that's only a little bit.

I haven't seen the Dawn of the Dead remake, but I agree, the Watchmen movies was pretty good.
i think i say this everytime the topic pops up, but most people attribute watchmen's quality to hayter's screenplay
So.. first person? Are there even decent first person RTS's?
No, I just prefer turn based combat in strategy games and isometric rpgs.
I don't like people [editline]16th May 2015[/editline] I just disdain other people, most people that is. Especially elitists who think they are better than others just because they are "successful" and "have a life"
I don't like people [editline]16th May 2015[/editline] I just disdain other people, most people that is. Especially elitists who think they are better than others just because they are "successful" and "have a life"
Fucking normies reeeeeee.
just because they are "successful" and "have a life"
Question: Do you consider people who are proud of their accomplishments to be "elitists" and do you think that they are out to make others feel bad by discussing their achievements?
FilthyFrank is really creepy sometimes.
FilthyFrank is really creepy sometimes.
I think he's painfully unfunny and I don't understand why people like him so much.
FilthyFrank is really creepy sometimes.
I wonder about some of his videos. Like, if people are clued in on what's going on. For example, the one where it barrels into McDonalds screaming for hamburgers, or where he approaches random women screaming 'WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?!'
Question: Do you consider people who are proud of their accomplishments to be "elitists" and do you think that they are out to make others feel bad by discussing their achievements?
Is not the being proud that makes it bad. It does wonders to your self-esteem to be proud of yourself some times. But like I said before in a different thread there is a HUGE difference between being pride of what you accomplished and using what you accomplished as a excuse for your shitty attitude towards others. I think Daniel is referring to the second type.
i havent seen avengers 2 but there are very few things that are worse than man of steel
I loved everything in that movie except the plot Avengers 2 was an average movie, nothing too insane.
I think extremists of every sort are just as bad as the racists and such that they cry about, especially the folks on Tumblr. I saw this one post about this overweight black woman walking down the street in a bikini and high fiving a dude and the whole thing was about body acceptance (which is a whole other barrel of laughs i don't agree with) but then someone asked why the post didn't have notes and someone replied that it's because it was a black woman, if it had been a white woman it would have made national news and that's absolute bullshit. No matter what side you're on people always have to make it about race or gender, like this other post about how you should pay attention when your child thinks something is wrong with themselves medically and someone instantly was all "nobody pays enough attention to self-diagnosing teenage girls," like fucking nothing ever happens to teenage boys. They cry about genders and being accepted but the moment you're straight or white or thin or happy with who you are in what gender you're in, you're a piece of shit that needs to die. It always had to be about race and gender and fighting for this person and that person and doing things that don't even directly effect you in any way but nobody ever makes it about happiness and just being a good person and that's pretty fuckin' sad. Quit looking at the parts of a person and look at the sum instead and just be...good. Be a good person to other good people and make the world a better place.
Well, here's my opinion: I think the people who complain about others always making it about gender/race ARE the ones that always make it about gender/race. I have never seen a thread on FP that started out with "Hey I think this is racism/sexism" or "They should make X character black/a female". It's ALWAYS the people who are opposed to it that bring it up. Hell, it still amazes me how that one thread we had a while ago on the Ghostbusters reboot had a post along the lines of "Hah of course they need a token black character" with like a hundred agrees, and everyone conveniently ignored the fact that the original Ghostbusters had a fucking black character as well
"We Built This City" is the worst song to ever grace the realm of GTA radio.
Which is why i said extremists. I don't mind it being brought up, they're still legitimate issues and shouldn't be ignored but the moment you start ignoring someones happiness for those issues is when i have a problem. You should never put how someone feels on hold because you feel differently, like fighting for a person that clearly doesn't care, like when me and my best friend are trying to out-offensive each other and someone gets pissy and butts in when neither of us are concerned, we're just being us.
I don't get why anyone wants a new Conker game.
Soft tacos are bullshit
