have you filed anything against the offending precinct/officer for using too much force? or, did you put your hands on him first?
You know, sometimes weird humans manage to become police officers. I knew a buddy that was caught doing vandalism, and oddly enough the officer gave him the choice of going to jail or allow a legit beat down without fighting back. He let the officer beat him up, then walked home.

I've been switching it up every now and then, might go back to Ricky next time I change it.
I have a family member who is a cop in a small town. The thing about small towns, I don't know how small yours is, is that they are part of the community. They hear all the rumors about people and are always watching and listening. If you are from out of the area you instantly become suspicious. I know dick cops too. Following your rights and staying silent are always the best thing. Its not that the cops are bored and are looking for trouble. They really care about their communities and want to keep the peace. Everybody profiles, if young teens are walking past curfew it scares the neighborhood. Teenage boys are honestly the scariest thing to adults because they are unpredictable. Although your not breaking the law now the police want to send the message that their watching you so you behave.
How to Deal with Police - Don't park your suspicious looking van infront of a Elementary School, Don't make yourself a huge target

If he gets unbanned for Garry's birthday next year let me know if he posts in here. I made it clear he wasn't allowed to post in DD ever again the first time I banned him.

Because the last time he posted in DD and I caught him he was just being more and more obnoxious as each post went on. I figured he came into DD just to troll it. So, I won't let him back in.
I don't think he was that bad.
How I currently deal with police is by not giving them any reason to arrest me. You have to be a better citizen than your police officers. We have police because a lot of people are immature and/or ignorant. If we were civilized, we wouldn't need them.
is it a legal search if a friend or guest consents to an officer searching your car/house? also what happens if one person consents to a search, but upon entry, another resident doesn't consent to a search?

Does anybody else every think about what it could/will be like if humanity manages to survive and evolve? IMO, cyborgs are where it's at in the future.
These videos tell you you don't have to answer the door for the police. I'm sure that's true but it seems like kind of a dick move tbh. What if someone's been kidnapped and they just want any info? You don't have to let them in to answer.

[editline]14th July 2013[/editline] especially since if they suspect you of doing something they often try and coerce or manipulate you. it's not only a bit nerve-wracking, but it's also just plain annoying and something i don't want to deal with.
Is there something like this specifically tailored for the UK?
Is there something like this specifically tailored for the UK?
I'm sure a lot of the same things apply. The right to remain silent, the right to refuse a search without warrant, and the right to terminate any interaction at your own discretion if you're not being detained certainly do at least.

I think that I am very unlikely to resort to saying nothing to the police, though I will be very wary about it (especially 'cause I do use drugs, of course).
Humor them at least, careful what you say (and how you say it), but know when and where to cut them off Immediate silence is like a silent 'fuck you' and they are going to be dicks
Okay. I think that I am very unlikely to resort to saying nothing to the police, though I will be very wary about it (especially 'cause I do use drugs, of course).
the supreme court ruled that refusing to speak in the middle of a police interview can be used as evidence of guilt in a court case. so it's easier and more legally secure to just refuse to talk to police.
Humor them at least, careful what you say (and how you say it), but know when and where to cut them off Immediate silence is like a silent 'fuck you' and they are going to be dicks
then your silence ends up becoming evidence against you if the police want to pursue you for any reason.
I've always played along like a good citizen, but once they start prying at me I either stay silent or tell them "I don't have to answer that question." It's helped me out tons of times. Really the best you can do is try to put them at ease and try to come off as a friendly citizen and not a horrible dope fiend.

I SHOT THE SHERIF, HE DESERVE IT
I SHOT THE SHERIF, HE DESERVE IT
Bu canadian police are so nice :c
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=u4Ku17CqdZg I loled so hard at this: they don't have any obligation to answer any questions at these checkpoints so they just annoy the cops
I SHOT THE SHERIF, HE DESERVE IT
I shot a man in Reno [editline]19th July 2013[/editline] just to watch him die
