Where the fuck do you live? Also, Hyundai isn't going to be considered a luxury brand unless they drop all there current eyesores. The Accent, Tiburon, Entourage, etc. The cars they have that aren't those, are either, the price of European cars, and admittedly, the same quality of European cars, except a shittier badge and a few different things. So there's no point when you could just have a European car, and the rest are just generic vehicles. Same applies with Kia. Japan are doing well, but, again, it's all about the badge when it comes to prestige.
All they needs to do is create a Luxury division like Toyota did with Lexus. If you choose a car over another for just the badge maybe you just have some insecurities?
I've been in many Hyundais, including the Azera and Genesis. My dad owns an Elantra. They're really nice, especially the higher-end ones. The build quality is superb.

Unless, it's one of those god awful Mercedes Economy cars. *shivers* And as humans, we should know, it's way better showing up to school with your awesome display when your classmate has a shitty one. So you can be all :smug: [editline]05:49AM[/editline]
All they needs to do is create a Luxury division like Toyota did with Lexus
Well obviously if they had a Luxury division that'd be fine, but I thought you were talking about Hyundai itself trying to make itself a luxury brand. [editline]05:54AM[/editline]
If you choose a car over another for just the badge maybe you just have some insecurities?
If you're going to get something that is the same build quality as a European car for the same price, but with a less prestigious badge, why would you not just get the Prestigious badge for the same price? That's basically saying, "I could have the really good Greek Orange juice, but I think I'll get the Orange Juice made in India for the same price." You just wouldn't. [editline]05:58AM[/editline]

Murcielago LP 670-4 Super Veloche God, the fucking name is sexy.

I'm not saying the Hyundai automatically would be, but if it were why the hell not? Afterall it's a car for you not for others. Personally I would kind of like to root for the underdog. If I had a Genesis and a bmw or merc owner would show interest and ask what sort of car is that, I'd say it's a Hyundai :smug:

I never talked about the personal factor. I've bought watches that people said looked retarded, but, I liked them. I was just stating, if you're buying a car that is the same as a prestigious car, might as well go with the latter. But if you like the first car alot, go for it. It's wouldn't stop me from thinking, "Shoulda got a Beamer" But, it's your car, do what you want makes you happy, unless you put a 20 foot spoiler on a clunker.
I love saying Jaaaaaaaaaaaag.
I'll be right back dear, just need to warm up the Jaaaaaaaaaaag

Our family car is this. A 2003 Hyundai Getz 1.3 GSI 3Dr. In our time of owning it, my Grandad has had a BMW 3 Series Estate (1998 I think), a 2003 Saab 95 Saloon/Sedan 3.0 V6 and a 2008 Mercedes CLK 320CDI. The BMW had faulty brakes, the Saab broke down on the first day of ownership, the Saab also deployed its airbags for no reason, and the Mercedes has a dodgy Sat Nav. And our Hyundai is still going, its had its tires replaced, and a screw for a hook thing replaced (so easy, my Mum did it, costing less than 10p). Good times. <3
They look fucking identical. If you were going to use an example of boxy you could have at least picked an xB. My bus has better lines than that.
The newer ones aren't as boxy. my mom has that except in a darker blue. it isn't that great but it's comfortable and it gets her around.
Murcielago LP 670-4 Super Veloche God, the fucking name is sexy.
The car is sexier though (it's one of my favorite Lamborghinis). Also I believe it's Super Veloce, without the "h".

You drive a volkswagen, do you know how they originated? As about the cheapest thing money could buy. Hyundai may make a lot of pure shit but their resale value, from what I've seen, is better than most comparable American cars. It's Kia that builds the absolute shit.
The reason behind the crappiness of that Ferrari is that it has a V12 that drinks petrol like there is no tomorrow, and it has an automatic gearbox.

It went 100 thousand kilometers...without an oil change. I'm not kidding. Before we sold it it was up to 160 thousand. 2004 sonata? it's only done about 60,000 but it hasn't missed a beat. 2000 Holden astra? Broken timing belt on the road which also fucked up a lot of other things, cost 2000 to fix. A week later something else broke, cost 300 to fix. 80,000ks and its been kept in immaculate conditon.
Hyundai's be great car's. They are very understated. And Il bet they are far more smug than a BMW/Merc/Whatever driver. :)

It has shit for power and it's a lemon. There's why it's a shitty car. It's like ferrari's geo metro except it gets shitty gas millage and requires taking out a second mortage to repair. Watch it tear ass around a parking lot, WOT, and move like a golf kart:

I never said Volkswagen was a prestigious brand, but it is a good one. Hyundai does make shit, have you driven a Tiburon? Also, Volkswagen does make a lot of good cars now, not to mention, excellent for their price.
Chevrolet, It's even mentioned in the article.
I'm surprised it wasn't a fucking toyota.
Chevrolet, It's even mentioned in the article.
It was a rhetorical question :downs:
I'm surprised it wasn't a fucking toyota.
I'm sure a Land Cruiser has already done it but nobody figured it was worth the news
this was my first car... Acura Integra Do the the massive amounts of aftermarket parts, the price to performance ration, and the fact that it's fun to drive, it has been called by some to be the best FWD call of all time. I really like the headlights, and the overall styling. Cars don't need to be super expensive/fast/futuristic to be amazing! <3
Acura Integra
Why bother calling it an Acura? It's just a Honda with an Acura badge and an increased price tag. Much like Lexus badge on a Soarer. It's still a Toyota only more expensive.
