Oh, shut UP will you? The only thing that looks remotely bad are the intakes on the front, and they aren't all that bad.

Personally I think it would look a bit better with some form of rear spoiler, but the overall shape is a pretty much tried and tested shape (except for those fonr intakes), so what's not to like? Other than the fact it's a bit generic?

Then surely you know the insurance premiums of 17 year olds then.
Higher than sky high?
Much much higher!
Wow, that's really high!
Yeppo!
My science teacher called the Honda FCX Clarity a Prius today. Facepalm. :P

In Car and Driver June 2009 they interviewed a guy who leases one.
[C&D] With what can you compare the clarity?
[Jim] I have to compare this car with my Ford GT, but it's such a totally different driving experience. The lack of shifting. The lack of gears. It's got a lot of torque, which surprises me for an environmentally car.
[C&D] Are you going to sell any of your four gasoline-powered cars now?
[Jim] Not all, but probably some of the modern ones. This car replaced a Mercedes S550. I do not like driving that car anymore. When I got the clarity, I drove it for about three weeks. Then I jumped into the Mercedes to run a quick errand. It felt like there was an anchor tied to the bumper. I always though the Benz had good pickup, but the Clarity feels like you're devoid of gravity.
That line really sold the Clarity for me, the GT is one of my favorite cars and I've ridden in a S550 at work, it's fast. Electric motors are the way to go, and I've heard that the fuel cell has enough juice to power a typical house.
I almost don't want electrics to replace gas motors. Call me stupid.
Yeah, any car enthusiast will be missing the standard transmission, even electric sports cars will feel like driving an automatic civic. About the torque I'm not surprised, electric motors have instant torque and produce more power then a gasoline engine ever will, enough torque to snap a driveshaft.
I'm all for having electric cars, as it opens up so many new venues for cars to take. Personally, though, I will always love the feel of a well built fast gasoline car. and I don't mean stock stuff, I mean things like Twin Turbo street cars, or supercharged muscle cars. I really don't think you can beat that kind of stuff.
Maybe I should get a Smart ForTwo as a first car.

I don't think electric cars will ever be nearly as practical as fossil fuel cars, but they can be pretty impressive at the track.

I think you should get a car instead
Main reasons for the disagrees?
Example:
Toyota Aygo is only a little bit bigger, got space for 4 persons, and isn't as ugly compared to the Smart.

Unlikely I'd be giving a lift to more than one person at a time.

The Smart is Mercedes version of a personal short-bus.
