the Renegade concept is amazing, and has four wheel steering.
So does the Skyline GT-R, the Mitsubishi 3000GT, the BMW 850 amongst others.
Yeah but those aren't Jeeps.
None of those are offroad vehicles, where in my opinion 4 wheel steering is at best benefit.

Reminds me of the Peugeot Hoggar I had dreams of buying back in '03 (still kinda want it too).

Anyway, I bought one of my dream cars and I absolutely love it (this one isn't mine though).

Is it bad if I like the Aptera's design
Two friends of mine just came by in 2 of the brand new Opel Insignia OPC. Pretty dull design, but they're very quick and sound great!
I got a pic and a vid:

I quite like the new Insignia.
I assume OPC is the equivalent of VXR in the UK.
[editline]09:41AM[/editline]
I have to say those sound brilliant.
Are the OPC versions RWD/AWD? I'm guessing the standard Insignia is FWD.
according to Topgear.com, it's AWD.
I think the Insignia is a worthy Vectra replacement. It looks great and I'm sure it drives well too.
Wahey, using diagnostics mode on my focus, I can get a digital speedo and tachometer amongst other stuff.
It's awesome.

How'd you do that?
Hold down the reset button for the tripmeter, whilst starting the car, go through various displays and you'll find it.
My second car in my life :)
Absolutely a gorgeous car if I may say so.
It's 3.0 V6, maybe not alot for you americans, but for the netherlands it's above average!

I absolutely adore that car!! That's the one designed by Pininfarina, that resembles _too much_ a Ferrari :D

Just a friendly warning.
That generation Peugeot have a tendency to suddenly complain about ABS failure and Airbag failure, even when there's no problem with it.
Damn frenchies don't know how to make car electronics.
My parent's have owned both a 306 and a 307, and both had said problems.
Let's get some Porsche GT1 lovin' in here... You may probably remember this car for this spectacular accident :P

Bleargh.

I'm always under the impression that the wheels are kinda small, unlike the race version... maybe an optical illusion? :P
If I could whistle, I'd whistle. But I can't whistle, so i'll say i'm whistling to pretend I'm whistling.

What? :raise:
Horsepower isn't everything, there's also torque :eng101:
Even though i know a guy who owns a ford like Hell Strike's and they are unbelievably slow, compared to what's under the hood.
Also that 1.3 liter you mention is either Super/turbo-charged or have very low amount of torque.
If torque is everything, my school bus would lay waste to most of the cars in this thread.
If torque is everything, my school bus would lay waste to most of the cars in this thread.
and how heavy is said bus?
also it's probably a diesel.
and how heavy is said bus?

Well duh it's diesel. Diesel is the easiest way to make massive torque.
The one I drive is just about 10 thousand pounds on the dime. It's pretty snappy actually.
Diesel is awesone

That is a disgusting amount of black smoke. Is it meant to do that?
That is a disgusting amount of black smoke. Is it meant to do that?
It's a tuned diesel, so yeah.

I like it, in a weirdly attractive way.
Slightly related to the topic about cars:
Does anyone here know how to refurbish aluminum rims??
I've just switched over to my winter tires, and my aluminum rims got curbed the first time my mom borrowed my car, and when i avoided a dude in a Supra driving road-rage style.
So how do i strip the current metallic bronze paint off them, fix the scratches and prep then for one of my friends to paint them in a bitchin' metallic dark Grey gunmetal color??

Sand blasting would be your best bet to remove the existing finish I should imagine. as for fixing the scratches, it depends on how deep they are, and what exact finish you are going for on the new ones. If the scratches are shallow, you could probably get away with carefully rubbing it down and polishing it flat. If they are deeper and the new finish is not transparent at all, then you could get away with filling the scratches, perhaps try brazing to fill them in (make sure to get the correct brazing rods) and build it back up above the original level and then sand/file smooth it back down to be flush.
