Any other AE86 fans here? Just look at it, it's beautiful.
An aquired taste I find though.

you own a ferrari?
fuck you.
Then you don't know shit about how they are built and what safety features they have.
Have you not looked at the crash test ratings for smart cars? They have rollcages and such but it doesn't stop the car from getting punted by a much larger vehicle.

It's not called "AE86" smart one, that's only the chassis code, which, by the way, refers to two different cars, the Sprinter Trueno (the one you like) and the Corolla Levin.
Besides that, it's hardly an acquired taste. The Morris Marina is an acquired taste, not that.

(Dodge Charger Daytona)
Came with either a 426 Hemi 426 cu in (7 L) V8 or a 440 Magnum 440 cu in (7.2 L) V8.
Only 550 were made. :C

Because I look at Euro NCAP ratings, here's what it got according to Wikipedia:
Adult Occupant: ****
4/5 stars is good in my book.

My soon-to-be car.
I'd really love one of those 3rd Gen. Camaros.

Fuck yeah.
Edit: Nvm. that pic of the older Camaro didn't load here. Sorry.
That's not a Camaro. That's the Firebird/ Trans AM
This is the Camaro:

Though they're basically the same car

I never said what the top car is. It's a 1997 Firebird.

3/5 Stars with the Original model, but back then it was out of 4 stars so really its 3/4. A larger car still doesnt increase the risk of death so dramatically that it renders the Ncap ratings useless. If I 2009 Smart car hit an Izuzu Rodeo (Big pick up truck) head on at 40mph. The inhabitants of the Rodeo would have either died or be extremely dissabled. Whilst the Smart car inhabitants might have a broken wrist or thumb, at worse, a broken foot. This is because the Rodeo would absorb all the energy of the impact because of its poor design. :)

This is not a Smart Car vs Pick Up truck video. But still follows the 'Big car vs Small car' crash test. I know which car Id choose.

You think I didn't know that?
I was referring to both cars, but the Trueno is what most people are familiar with. As well as the chassis code. Most people who are into their cars will understand what AE86 means.
There's a lot of douchebags in this thread.
Oh god I just read that in his voice.
Then you don't know shit about how they are built and what safety features they have.
If you're flying 50m through the air after a collision with a Benz your safety features wont help you.
Yes, this already happened.
no it hasn't.
One extreme worst case incident does not a bad car make.

Well now it just did.
[editline]01:06PM[/editline]
Also the Smart Car is very ugly.
and you're fucking stupid.

Gosh! I would of chose the S Class anyway (5 Star Crash test Rating en all) But a Smart car vs a big unsafe car (again, the Rodeo) is like Led wieght vs a sponge.
I can't stand smart cars, but they are ridiculously easy to park. One of my pals owns one (you sit so close together, your legs are practically touching the whole time :/) and he parked kind of crooked in the spot. We got out, and he just pushed on the car from the side near the rear and straightened it out with very little effort.
It was ridiculous.

Fifth Gear were wrong. That Vauxhall Corsa was a 1994 model, and http://www.euroncap.com/tests/opel_vauxhall/corsa.aspx shows the isnt a 3 Star Crash Tested Car.
Therefore its an unfair test. But thats just me being pedantic.

Remember, fit two in one parking space.

watched those videos pretty impressive. My mistake, I based what I said earlier from the earlier smart which I read barely got a 3/5 rating. Although in the future I think crumpling vs crumpling cars would be safer than two rigid cars colliding since the force would just be too much for the occupants.

You best not be hatin' on the Z.
Just remembered, there is a silver used (amazing condition) one near me for sale, better go check the price.

The main problem with the smart car in the collision is that is is propelled away from the crash a good distance. If that crash were to occur on a real road, the smart car would be put in danger of getting hit by another driver because it's rolling all over the road.
