Rare as it may be... it's still an early 90s pickup. If I was going to buy a limited production truck, I'd get an SRT/10 ram.

That looks really nice, gotta love old VW's and their reliable little engines. You also know someone has taken good enough care of their car to call it "him / her" instead of "it". :v:

That's like... HALF a westfalia... gotta have that second bunk up top or no go.
I kinda have a dream plan around some time this summer or next summer buying one and driving it to Alaska from Texas and on the way up go to Florida and make our way to Texas.

This.
A well treated VW motor will last to the ~120k mile range before a small overhaul is required.
Hell even longer if you have everything perfect.

A corp 14 bolt rear with a corp 10 bolt front is pretty much pointless. And I don't know why it's titled as a 1 ton. If it was originally a K30, he stole the Kingpin dana 60 front and swapped in the 10 bolt and is probably calling it a K20. Regardless that's a lot of money for a bastard chevy.
A k20 with a decent body but equally shoddy interior would run you 3-4k, and 14 bolt rears from CUCV's run about 1k(and include the Detroit locker), I don't know where the rest of his money went. Probably in the 400 small block when a $800 350 TBI would have even been a better investment. Also the transmission looks suspiciously like a cheapie SM420 which is a radically strong but horrible to drive.
If you're dead set on an old Chevy I'd move onto the later years post 86. I would have been able to assemble this truck out of parts I have laying around at the shop for less than 2k with very minimal effort as everything is bolt on. I don't think this one is worth it.

We had a 80's Merc 200 before and it rusted so bad that every time we ran over a puddle, water would seep in through the floor. And then the steering column snapped in half when we were traveling at 80kmh. :v:
But mind you Malaysia is a humid country with average humidity ranging from 70-90% all year. And living in a coastal city probably didn't help either.
Old Merc's are AWESOME.
I would love a coupe, but why did they make them all with V8's? I couldn't stand the bad gas millage.
If only they made some with the diesel or even the 6 cylinders.
In fact, the coupes are one of my favorite body styles,I don't need any more space than that.
