Why put all that time/ money into a project car just to abandon it when it's 'almost done'. Sigh :/
So that someone can buy it and finish his dream. If I was a mustang guy I'd consider it. Its the perfect opportunity to make it what you want.

Yea, around here you can buy a nice Mustang for that much.
13500 is stiff though; if you don't do the work yourself you're looking at at least 8000 to finish the exterior body/paint.
offer 10k he'd probably take it.
That's my dream, is to restore a car from the ground up. It's what I'm going to college for!
In China, buyers will pay $40,000 or more. A good, healthy kidney from Israel goes for $160,000
I'd consider it

Does anybody else ever play the "let's find the highest priced things in a city with rich people" game on craigslist? http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/4719611205.html you can find some weird shit http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/4727124765.html
Came across some old savings bonds, decided to look around for a Miata for kicks and giggles. Found this: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/4725610931.html Lol. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline] Omg http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/4725365804.html This one looks to be utterly brilliant, look at it. It's so clean and actually really tasteful. And dat hardtop. And I love all the little chrome tidbits and nubbins because they're all actually really tasteful. It's not like those pickups and Acuras you see around here with just random chrome linings in the door panel gaps and fake engine ports. On this thing it's in little bits that would actually be chrome if this car was made in the 1950's. And it's just soooooo clean. God I really wish I could afford another car, I'm so seriously tempted to take out a second loan. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline] The only thing I don't like is the big MAZDA decal but that's so far from a deal breaker I don't really care. Guys really, stop me, this is dangerous.
I thought they were both the same car for a minute and was terribly confused. The second one is pretty nice, the bodykit is borderline, but it works.
I'm honestly considering getting a second loan for that second one. It's just so pretty and clean. I'd probably replace the rims with something a little more old fashioned looking, maybe some wire rims or something because the way he has it set up it looks like a really cute little retro throwback car. What gets me the most about the first one is the silly little angry headlight mod. That's just some construction paper or something, it's as if he bought a Miata then realized he really wanted a BMW 328i or something and tried to make his Miata, a very silly fun little car, into an angry car with stupid angry lights and a really hideous bodykit.
Thats like a really common thing to do to miata headlights. :v: [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline] Also get some sweet old jap wheels
Any of these. http://www.enkei.com/classic.shtml Actually, I don't mind that Miata much if you toss out the shit rear bumper, hood scoop and chrome windshield trim along with that absolutely terrible chrome wiper cowl. If you did all of that, it would be an incredibly clean car that actually pulls off chrome then if you toss on some quality retro wheels I think it would nail what you're looking for. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline] Oh and be sure to get the paint code for that color, that hood scoop is molded so you'll be replacing it as well. I'd like it if it was boosted, functional and offset in 300ZX style but on a Miata, no.

I don't mind the chrome wipers themselves, they're okay, but the big slab of chrome is a no no. Also that and the gigantic chromed instrument binnacle, that has to go. It just looks like it will blind you every time you drive into the sun. The only one of those wheels you linked I like is the Einki92, but I loathe the color. If I could get those in normal silver that would be lovely. However as much as I want it I really simply cannot afford to insure, register, and fuel a second car at the moment.
The 92's come in gold, silver or black. http://www.enkei.com/enkei92.shtml As nice as it is, you'd spend less picking up the chrome bits you like to put on a clean Miata than to make that one the way you'd like it. Paint isn't cheap, although you could just do like a carbon fiber hood but the rear bumper would be a pain in the ass. It's really rare I see a car which pulls off some chrome accents, the latches in chrome along with the gas cap looks pretty good along with the window cranks and vent rings. Dunno if the antenna needs to be chrome though lol. Chrome seems like a cancer really, you start with a few pieces and you just keep adding because you try to get everything in line but you really just end up with far too much and it looks cheap.

I think someone wanted a Subaru really badly but couldn't afford one
That's a 9 5, isn't it? The idea of it is hilariously gaudy.. but in execution I like it. Weird
That's a 9 5, isn't it? The idea of it is hilariously gaudy.. but in execution I like it. Weird
Yeah it's a Saab 9-5.. If it were either AWD or RWD I'd buy it in an instant but since it's a front wheel racer it kinda loses its charm.
Is...is that a Saab uhhh...9-3? [editline]29th October 2014[/editline] I mean 9-5. Totally
