I had to read "In The Time of Butterflies" for school. Wasn't all that bad. Currently reading "One Shot" by Lee Child. Only have 100 or so pages to go, was a pretty good read.

Recently read, again. The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer Because it probably is the best book ever. Hopefully they're not going to fuck it up in the upcoming movie.
Reading the Hobbit again.

After finishing my current book, I'll probably move on to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I have no idea what the book cover looks like, so I'm using the movie poster.
A song of Ice and Fire series. Best fucking series ever. I absolutely love that book. If you love a book set in a medieval fantasy era, this is for you. It's got Dragons and Direwolves and brutal battles. A description of these famous mercenary soldiers: "The Unsullied are eunuch slave soldiers, trained from a young age in Astapor to unquestioning obedience and martial prowess. They fight in formation as light infantry, equipped with short spears, swords, round shields, and distinctive spiked caps. Their training is brutal, designed not only to teach them how to fight, but to strip away all individuality, empathy, and self-worth. They regularly consume an elixir called the Wine of Courage to deaden their sensitivity to pain. Every day they choose new names at random by drawing tokens from a bucket, each consisting of a color and a type of vermin, such as "Grey Worm". Slaves that fail any aspect of their training are killed. Only a third of the slaves to enter training survive to become Unsullied. The results are elite, highly specialized soldiers that fight fearlessly and without question. Though they have a reputation as the best soldiers in the world, Unsullied are not nearly as effective when out of their phalanx formation." It's got brutal scenes in it, and to prove this, one of the early scenes has a scene where a knight hunts down a bakers boy and cleaves him in two. And in one battle, one of the main characters loses a nose and gets a crushed elbow. It's really riveting. A great read. Some pictures: This is Robert vs Rhaegar. Robert is famous for his Antlers he wears on his helm, this singles him out in battle. He uses antlers because of his house banner. Rhaegar has a dragon on his helm, because his house banner is a dragon. The iron throne. It's got cruel spikes on it to symbolise the fact that any kings who sit on the throne are worthy of sitting on it. It's got the spikes to keep kings up straight, rather than slouching on the throne. On the throne is Jaime Lannister, one of the most famous fighters in the land. That's Winterfell. A castle in the north of the land. Nicknamed "The Hound" because of his house banner. He is ruthless and is a servant to house Lannister. He has a morbid fear of fire, because his brother thrust his face into a coal-fire when he was younger. Ned Stark, a really good guy. A just and noble ruler. He rules the castle of Winterfall.
