It ain't under a hundred, but it's the cheapest, and highest quality SVD I could find for you. Jing Jong makes cheap, quality guns. If you can't afford the good stuff, JG/Echo 1 is a great alternative.
Also, Orkel just made my day. I'm so envious.
Paintball is way better then airsoft
Real guns are better, and always will be. That's not the point though. I was just wondering why you'd spend thousands of dollars on guns that shoot plastic BB's.
Real guns are not better, because they are not comparable. One is meant for killing people, the other is an extremely fun sport. Airsoft guns are not meant to kill squirrels, they are completely for sport. Stop trolling/comparing airsoft to real guns, there is no comparison to make.
Paintball is way better then airsoft
Get the fuck out. You're just butthurt because you spend more money on guns that don't look real at all.
Take the Paintball G36C for example.

Now, look at my G36C.
Which one do you think would give you a more likely chance of successfully robbing a 7-Eleven with?

Why does it matter if it looks real?
because it makes your experience better if your gun doesn't have to use a giant can of gas to work
Paintball players who buy real looking guns are morons anyway, paintball isn't like airsoft. It's not meant to simulate real combat down to the guns and uniforms, it's just shooting at each other with them - to me, it feels more like a sport, but less fun.

I can still remember the feeling of getting woken up at night, thrown in a van together with my squad and getting transported about two kilometers to the combat area for patrolling. Then walking around the pitch black forest for the next hour scared like hell of an ambush (especially when we had to walk through a small valley, and because squad #3 got annihilated by one earlier), getting back in the van after our patrol, arriving at base and finally getting some sleep. Man I was so tired I didn't even bother taking off my equipment, and I just slept on the floor on top of a thin mattress with the gun hanging on my back.

Okay thanks, I guess I need to start saving up some money
And orkel's game sounded like it was pretty cool
I think the best moment I've had playing airsoft was when I was playing with my local club.
There were 100 of us divided into two 40 man teams, with the remaining 20 as VIPs, Prisoners, and Non-combat Personell(2 Medics and a shitload of civilians who would walk around.)
I was part of the PMC "Battalion", fighting against an overtly-stereotypical group of terrorists from Eastern Europe.
Me and my squad(I was the leader of the PMC Breaching Squad, who's basic job is to run STRAIGHT to the doors of buildings the enemies are hiding in and busting them down for others to enter.) came up to the door of a small barn which was fortified by the "terrorists". THey did not know we were there, and they were talking some shit behind the wall. I signalled the rammer to get ready, and just as he prepped the ram, we heard "FOR THE MOTHERLAND!" from behind us, and turned to be gunned down by about 12 of the Terrorists. They then engaged the other PMCs as the barn terrorists ran out, mostly comically, and began pure hell.
Me and the squad went back to the respawn and had to wait. When we went back in, we were ambushed by two Terrorists which had taken a civilian hostage. As they shouted various russian-esque quotes, insults and anti-american propaganda, they didn't notice the civilian about to twist the arm of his holder. We watched as, in pure hilarity, the civilian threw the terrorist to the floor, kicked the other in the nuts, and ran away. Being merciful we shot the terrorists in the head.
The good thing about being a PMC was that I could be any nationality I wanted, so I became an overtly stereotypical german, who's cries for medic screwed up the terrorist's ears.
Unfortunately, the Terrorists won. Was fun though.
To the people saying "just buy a real gun".
1. You are retarded.
2. This thread deals with the sport/hobby.
Airsoft guns are exactly like what paintball markers are to real guns.

I've always wonderd. What the hell of a use is "Hop-up"?
I've always wonderd. What the hell of a use is "Hop-up"?
It puts backwards spin on the bb so that the airpressure allows it to fly a further distance, in an arc.
I've always wonderd. What the hell of a use is "Hop-up"?
Simple answer: a hop-up puts backspin on the bb as it's fired and makes it go further.
Complex answer: same thing but with more complex sounding words, like "aerodynamics"
I just spray painted my AK74 gold. Because we only play small matches and aren't very stealthy at all, it won't matter, and it looks epic. Will post pics when it's dried and such.
Edit:
I'm in an argument and one person says that most airsoft fields are fine with 400+ FPS guns, but the other says that most don't allow that high. Who's right?
Edit:
AEGs, with 17 RPS (not a typo), not snipers.

If you have a half decent job, playing paintball shouldn't be a problem money-wise. And you're explanation as to why a gun is better if it looks real is fucking stupid, a gun can look real and still need N2 or C02, plus; I actually like the weight my N02 tank adds to my gun, makes it more comfortable. You're just trying to make it a fact that airsoft is better than paintball when, in fact, it's all opinion.

I'm just saying, he comes into an airsoft thread saying paintball is better. We're just here talking about airsoft and your paintball butt buddy comes in and starts shitting all over it, so I'm going to get fucking mad obviously. Also, if you aren't an airsofter or want to be an airsofter STOP POSTING IN THE THREAD! I don't see what's so hard about this concept. Marine1st, strike this man with your knowledge and Iwo Jima loadout! Also, not to sound like a douchebag, but my parents do have half-decent jobs, we're actually lower upper class. That's pretty damn good these days. I don't meet many other families that have 2 Audi's and 2 VW's during the recession. I'm just saying, we DO have the money for me to get top of the line paintball gear/guns. I just don't want to, because I find Airsoft much more realistic and fun.

Well the lowest limit airsoft place I know of is 450 fps, and that's extreme CQB. I know a place with a limit of 700 D: It's very secretive though.
Just played a great game of airsoft today, we had a wide array of guns out on the field. Most were tokyos but we had a few JG's out there and a classic Army. I started with a tokyo M14 then moved to the dual Tokyo Glocks, that was a blast. God I love airsoft.

It's actually not obvious you're going to get fucking mad. Assume you are in a conversation with some people about a TV show, then a guy comes up and says "Oh, I don't like that show, this show is better.", you don't just unleash a shitstorm on him. You could have just explained how it is all opinion as to if you prefer realism as to a sport feeling.
Bah... you damn people. "OMG! I SAW THIS MOVIE! SNIPING IS SO COOL! LOLOL ONE SHOT ONE KILL! IMMA BE A SNIPER! I PUT A SCOPE ON MY GUN THAT MEANS I SNIPER!".
I've been through sniper training. It was fun, but tougher than most people think. It wasn't full on army, but it was essentially the same working. And for those saying that Sniper = never moving, no. I'm usually the guy going in first, and taking the most risks. I do get "killed" often, but i always have fun dying.
I will say this. As a sniper there is absolutely NOTHING more fun in airsoft to me, than going on my own, spotting a group of enemies in the open, PEGGING one completely by surprise, and watching as he falls and they all scatter all over the place. It NEVER gets old.
I now have a L96 from Well [shitty i know, but i can work wonders with it], and a custom Super 9 that i just bought [needs a scope unfortunately]. For back up, i just got a Black UTG AK-47 Revolutionary with 500 round mag. Oh, and my reliable, but hard to reload Raging Bull.
Hows that from a slice of fried gold?
does anyone own a Tokyo Marui airsoft gun? those things are the shit.
does anyone own a Tokyo Marui airsoft gun? those things are the shit.
Actually, I had a Tokyo Marui and a JG L85 in the states, the JG seemed to be cheaper and more powerful.

Well, this is the internet, and if I think that I should unleash a shit storm on a person who is going into a thread for airsofters and saying paintball is way better, then I will.
