Shoulda gotten that limiter removed and topped it out, limiters of any kind are fucking stupid. We put an exhaust system on my dads hemi and when we tried to rev it in park to test it and make sure it was all working ok, it limited the fucking rpm's at 3 grand...Yeah, like we're stupid enough to redline it until it explodes, idiots...
[editline]15th October 2011[/editline]
But then if you drop it into 1st you can drive until the rpm's bounce off the redline limiter like in a stick shift without consequence. Makes no sense bro.

i don't do that anymore. leave it in d if it is an auto. the aisin tranny in the lexus does not like to be shifted under load, it breaks the clutch pack down fast. found that out after giving it hell for 30k miles then on day it wouldnt go into gear.
some transmissions do not like to be revved with out load and can mess them up maybe dodge figured that out and put a safety in so it wouldn't mess up.
But it's amazing. Don't you like it?
All things put aside yes it is a pretty cool truck (or else I wouldn't of bothered painting it and with the lights and such). I'm also still a bit angry that the starter and alternator took a crap within like two months of eachother. I guess in the end what frustrates me the most is why I didn't end up with the Bronco.
It could be worse, you could have a Chevy. Owait.
You mad bro?
I'd make some joke about you being a Honda fan boy but then I saw you have a pic of a Chevy engine on your FB profile so I must ask what the fuck
Here, have some pictures of my tiny polish fiat.
It is heavily work in progress and since I'm having so many ideas while i work on it, it'll probably never be really finished. I'm just working to adapt it to my needs in self sufficiency, versatility and camping shit. I removed the 2nd front seat to make room for a wooden box. It will eventually be coated in normal interior carpet and is meant to be a sleeping spot for one person in combination with the folded over right part of the rear seatbench. (works great for camping!)
There are many other things, like an additional 100Ah Battery in the back, a Onboard computer capable of navigation, wifi, tv, music, movies and real-time communication with the ECU (car does not support OBD, It has an old proprietary protocol), a Digital oscilloscope overhead panel that is configured to read out charging state of the second battery. In the car there are all tools needed to do pretty much anything, theres cooking equipment, a small water supply, a solar panel to prevent battery discharge when it is not in use, a tiny electric 12v watercooker for instant meals and coffee, a 4.5kW Webasto Car Heater that runs on gasoline has also been instaleld.
Engine specs are nothing special, 1.1Liter, 54Hp, Vmax around 170km/h, 5 gear. Oh and the car is 312k km old, first engine, first headgasket, first gearbox. My ultimate goal is reaching the 1 million mark.

I know it doesn't look good, but that's not what counts for me. As long as it is practical and does what i need the way i need it, i don't really care. Sorry for the bad picture quality.
Vmax around 170km/h
The one of my friend has trouble hitting 150km/h... downhill.
I kinda like them though, funny to drive.
Define "crashed".
meh it wasnt really a crash i guess
more of a bump
understeered into the safety fence trying to drift in the snow :v:
10 seconds for 67 MPH? I don't know if it's me but that sounds REALLY slow... I can hit 60 at the top end of second gear in what feels like no time at all, I'll have to record it sometime.
I have a picture of a Chevy engine? I didn't know I had a picture of any engine.
Anyways, I don't like or dislike any of those two (Honda/Chevy). Both have their ups and downs.
Not worth the gain. Looking like a dork and risking hydrolocking... Really worth the 1-2hp you'll gain from moving the intake piping into the fenderwell?
Would be more for the low down grunt than the top end bhp figures as well as a smoother drive. Have got an Accord Type R intake mani waiting to go on but just haven't got round to doing the necessary mods for it to fit but the CAI along with bigger bored mani could only be a good thing.
I finally got around to washing this bitch.

Well according to papers they only do 155 but in reality they go much faster.
No. It's my black one. The same black one I've had for two years now. Although it was gold up until like, April of this year.
yea, my problem with the srt is that they're only auto

Also a little more story on this, I was taking my sister to school and she was in the back, I was sick at the time so I didn't have to go but I was just driving her, when we crashed we slid like what, 2 or 1 meters, It hit the radiator so soap flew everywhere. My sister was freaking out in the back and some business man opened the door to help me and my sister out, When I ran to the other car to help her, she was having a mental breakdown and was crying, a bunch of teachers ran out to our aid and I lied to the paramedics when they said if I had any pains because if I did they would have to take me to the hospital, I now regret saying no because I have serious backpains.
Didn't get to say it in the post so I said it now.
It hit the radiator so soap flew everywhere
what
Dish soap makes good radiator coolant. :v:
Every time the cap pops off, it smells fantastic!
its common knowledge that putting dish soap in your radiator cleans out your injectors.
2000.5 2rz tacoma nice, only 6 months did the 2wd non prerunner get the 4x4 front end and coil pack on each cyc.

auto or manual?
[editline]15th October 2011[/editline]
looks like the hondas fault.
es 350 is nice I use to have a es 300 back in high school. 10.0@ 76mph 1/8 mile stock lol
top speed was limited to 139mph.
I wish it was a manual. I got it from my grandfather when he got his new car. He needed space to carry him and his wife and I needed a car because my old one died (it was a year older than I am) The tacoma has been doing pretty good. The only thing I could wish for was a little more space in the cab and a v6.
and yes, its pretty funny to have this truck in the south. people always make fun of it until they see it loaded down with half a cubic yard of slate and able to move and accelerate with a 4 cylinder when theirs struggles with the same.
what
ask my grandfather
Your grandfather doesn't have a facepunch account.
Explain soap.
