How much did you sink into that Civic before and then after your modifications?
75?
[editline]29th December 2011[/editline]
my friends family has 3 75's, and 2 155's
only 1 of them works
Yep its an Alfa 75, and it does take a bit of work to keep it fully functional
But i like messing around with it, so that doesnt matter much to me
The only downside is that i have to do it outside because we don't have a garage big enough..
What do you mean by sink into?
How much money did you spend on various maintenance/modifications/repairs, not sure what the "Before the modifications and after" but that's the jist of it i think. What did you have to spend to get it into the shape it's in perhaps?
I think he means spend.
Yeah, cool Dysplasia, rate me dumb. English isn't my native language.
Well, the only thing I added to the car myself, was the rims and lugs. The other stuff was on the car when I bought it. I honestly don't have a clue about the pricerange. The rims, tyres and lugs was a total of 5.000 danish kroners (estimated 1.000 dollars) with a heavy discount through jocksbilimport.
I paid 14.000 dollars for the car.
14,000... Danish? Or American?
I can't imagine paying 14k for any Civic, haha.

cars cost about twice as much in denmark/norway/sweden as it does in the rest of the world, sadly

That's one of the reasons why I only buy old cars :v:
and then it's because they are sexy as fuck and classic cars
-snip-
There's twice as much, and then there is four times as much. A clean mostly stock EK hatch with a B swap here you're looking at around $4000. $14,000 is ridiculous for one of those here. :v
Aw, car got bumped off the page soon as i posted it D:
Reposting on this page 'cause i can. Snipped the old one though
So my grandparents are supposed to be visiting from Minnesota, so i figured I'd cherry out my car as best as i could with the supplies i had at hand (Not much...) This was the result: (Give the pictures time to load, they are very large and thumbed. Sorry.)

Spell check rating needed

Aren't what 'called indicator'?

The same indicators that have been on the car for... A very long time.
What about them? They're awful, I want some ambers or OEM ones.
yeah they do look really bad with those headlights, are they clear or something?
I think they look ok actually

Oh, yea, sorry for wording it in a weird way.
14k? Uhm, thats... 14k dollars for real or some sort of different currency that in real dollars is less?
Because thats ALOT. Was it new?

Twice as much? Thats the price for a new car here. A sort of shitty one like an Aveo, but, still...
Anyway, ever since I saw that Civic of yours and that V-Tec Civic on youtube that seemed increadibly normal and then sounded like the end of times when the V-Tec kicked in (yo), I've been wanting one and to make it a powerful car (which would probably end in failure because I don't know much, if anything at all, about cars)
yeah they do look really bad with those headlights, are they clear or something?
The corners? They're like, clear with a silver frame and those hideous silver squares around where the screws go. The inner housing is black and non-reflective so they look awful at night too.
Why so many cars?
Oh god that video is hilariously funny that guy is such a blind rice fag
I decided to clean the engine bay a little bit, but i was doing it all by hand with paper towels and some general purpose cleaning spray (i don't really know how you should do it)
This is before (how it was when i got it)
[t]http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/788/wp000491.jpg[/t]
And this is after
[t]http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/4189/wp000492.jpg[/t]
I sort of quit/rushed near the end (mostly stuff on the right hand side, i was going left to right), because it was getting dark and my back was starting hurt.
It is definitely an improvement, i don't think it was a wasted effort.
Looks tons better.
WD-40 is better, WD-40 and a scrub brush then rinse it off with some regular water.
See my problem is it's not all dirt, it's paint fade. So to clean mine i would need to strip it all out and paint it fresh or something, idk. I tried to clean it up when i did the body but to no avail, hence no engine bay pics.
I'll have to try that next time, but currently i don't have a hose, and i wasn't sure if it's ok to spray down your engine with water. What are the rules on that? Also, i am missing my coolant reservoir cap, and autozone doesn't have one to sell me. I'm trying to find one to order off the internet for a reasonable price.
