The rule is unless you're spraying everything with a pressure washer an inch away, it's not going to get any more wet than it would if you were driving in the rain. As for the reservoir cap, check other automotive places. O'Reilly and Napa are two good ones. Then there's the generic, "Auto Parts Store" places. I find Autozone and O'Reilly to be the best, but my auto teacher prefers Napa so you could try any one of them.
There is NO engine that will have ill effects from spraying the engine down with water. If all your seals are good and whatnot you'll be fine. If you've got a distributor, and you're worried, don't spray it. THat's about all you have to worry about. I've once got water under my distributor cap and had to pull it off and shake it out them put it back on and it was fine. You don't have to SPRAY the engine after a WD-40 cleaning, pouring water over it from a jug will work. If the residue doesn't come off like that, spray more WD-40 and scrub harder. Also, Justin, I know what you mean. My EF was the same way, so I just sprayed the bay gloss black.
Alright awesome. The paint on my civic is a little messed in random spots around the engine. It is just sort of coming off and it looks like it has some rust under it. It's pretty much just right next to the batter clamp thing, where it bolts to the frame. The only spot on my car that concerns me, is this [t]http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/4440/wp000486.jpg[/t] Would it be enough if i just sprayed some paint over it until i have it repainted, if that ever happens, or will the rust continue to spread under the paint? Come to think of it, though, if i ever have the back of my civic repaired, i'm probably going to have to get a new trunk lid. The one i have right now looks decently smashed in, and i figure you can't really fix damage like that on a trunk lid.

Spray something over it to keep it from looking like total shit though :)

Mask the unaffected area off and hit it with some POR15 before you spray over it with paint, it'll kill the cancer for the most part. Eventually though you're going to need a new trunk lid, no amount of body filler is going to fix that.
hey bradley, did you ever try normal petroleum, my auto class teacher said it works just as good as WD-40 because that's what WD-40 is, but WD-40 has some additives and shit. now I don't know how expensive WD-40 is compared to petroleum over there, but over here it's like 1/5 of the price.
Oh, yea, sorry for wording it in a weird way. 14k? Uhm, thats... 14k dollars for real or some sort of different currency that in real dollars is less? Because thats ALOT. Was it new? [editline]30th December 2011[/editline] Twice as much? Thats the price for a new car here. A sort of shitty one like an Aveo, but, still...
Fourteenthousand american dollars. Shit costs more, but we get paid equally more over here. I have the Civic, my Lancer, and my own 3 room apartment with completely new kitchen and bathroom and I just turned 21 last week. And no, I didn't buy it from new, I bought it in August (IIRC) this year. I even got him down in price from $16.000 (sixteenthousand american us dollar monnies). Edit: No rich parents, I paid for my own stuff.

Ferosso, what do you do for a living? I want in on that.

A car like yours should range between 5000 to 9000€ or something. I saw only 2 that seemed to be worth getting for 9000 and 9500. 200+ hp and 360hp. Pretty cheap I guess. But, you must earn ALOT if you got all that stuff with your job. What do you work in?
Mmmm yeah Eventually it'll move under its own power. :v
do you put petroleum in your cars over there? if yes, then it's probably something else... but if it is the same thing... then that's pretty much what WD40 is...
51% Stoddard solvent (i.e., mineral spirits: primarily hexane, somewhat similar to kerosene) 25% Liquefied petroleum gas (presumably as a propellant; carbon dioxide is now used instead to reduce WD-40's considerable flammability) 15+% Mineral oil (light lubricating oil) 10-% Inert ingredients
[editline]1st January 2012[/editline] i dunno, maybe my teacher is wrong, I haven't tried it myself, was just suggesting. oh and:
The German version of the mandatory EU safety sheet lists the following safety-relevant ingredients: 60–80% Heavy Naphtha (petroleum product), hydrogen treated 1–5% Carbon dioxide
might just be that Denmark gets the same as Germany, I would not be surprised
I used old gasoline to get the oily shit off my tranny
Shitty pictures, but I thought they looked nice together. :3: Also somewhat juxtaposed.
I don't really like those headlights on the Impreza. I prefer the old slit eyed or the "sort of anime eyeish" that came after these. These remind me of those really shitty european low cost small cars that look sort of cutsy. Other then that, freaking lovely car. Wouldn't say no to it.

I manage 30 mobile car glass fitting technitians together with another guy, at Carglass Denmark. My job is basically to manage and plan a route for my technitians, and be at their availability in the office, and answer the phone when then call in with problems, like they can't find an adress, brought wrong piece of glass etc. My title is called logistics coordinator, but it's not as fancy as it sounds, and I'm uneducated. But I love my job though. All my collegues, including my bosses and the CEO. My boss is a gearhead too, and we even went to do some illegal drag racing a couple of times. Couldn't beat his 407 V6 though. I have 30 of these going in and out constantly. It can be a nutcracker at times
Over here in the US that's considered a pretty high up position, being manager of ANYONE at any given time. And even those high positions don't get paid jack shit, those high manager positions can barely afford a one bedroom apartment and a shit car...I want to move elsewhere i think

That hardbody actually looks pretty nice in matte black.
that looks fucking sexy. fuck.
ooooh sexy Maybe I should paint the Golf matte black too [editline]1st January 2012[/editline]
Got my truck Painted Before: After :
quoting it for the new page

If I had like five extra grand to blow. :v: It is somewhat ugly, but unique at the same time. :o [editline]1st January 2012[/editline] '04-'05s are my favorite.

I rarely post pictures but here it is after quite a bit of stuff. I removed the trim, gave it a different front bumper, removed the vent kind of things around the window, and took off the rear bumper for when I get the roll pan. I love the first picture, shame its so blurry, and I think the second picture makes the truck look worse than it actually is. I have no idea at all why the bottom picture is upside down, I fixed it in paint and the preview was propper, don't want to be assed with fixing it.
FOR THE MATTE BLACK TRUCK: Draw on it with chalk since it's Matte Black. Go on...

Dad's car, don't think I've posted this image before but it's somewhat old. Love everything about it.
Sex on fat wheels.
