Back in mah redneck days :D
[editline]3rd January 2012[/editline]
I left it like that for a week before my parents got pissed off that there was mud all over the street and driveway, so they made me wash it D:
Omg yes!! That looks great!
What is it?
I wish I would've stored the car for the winter, but alas, it's my only car. And I've had my winter tires since October, and probably going to have them up to late April. Dem damn Blizzak, at least they're good tires, handles better than my damned crappy summer tires.
But for FWD Cars, Grand Prix handles really REALLY well in the snow and ice. Heck no loss of control at 75mph in a snowstorm with roads not plowed.
But anyway, next summer, I'm going to get the body reworked on, so there's no rust anywhere, and then, get a fresh new paint, keeping it bright red, but hey, a new bright red is better than a pinkish bright red, right? :v:
You may call me crazy, but I'm getting my top swap done in the winter. Probably going to stick the supercharger in it in late February.
No loss on control at 75mph but good luck making an emergency stop.
No loss on control at 75mph but good luck making an emergency stop.
Well on a two lane highway, going in the very limit of the cops tolerance zone, when there's absolutely nobody on the road, I wonder when I would've to do that emergency stop. I always go on the highway and travel between cities at night, less traffic. But that night it was a bit of sudden since I had just broke so came back on the new year eve.
And I know, it would've been impossible to do an emergency stop. Not a stupid kid who just rolls out as fast as he can without shit. I want to keep my licenses, and my life.

1977 Chevrolet K10 Stepside
wouldn't drive 75 in the snow in any vehicle short of a WRC car
winter of 2010, I was driving to my cousin's place to snow drift a bit around some parking lots and to get there I had to drive on about 15 miles of 3 inch packed snow. it was fun as hell, but also scary as hell at the same time. I had no idea where anything was so I never knew if I was about to jump a curb or slam into a drain.
All of you can move to Australia and not have snow problems.

My new car. I plan on getting different wheels. And perhaps a different roundel.

Or NM most of the time.
Yeah, except for like a week per year.

isn't there a law in australia that prevent you from owning a turbo/v8 car under the age of 25 or something.
screw that!
What if it's a turbo inline three?
It's mine once I fix the coolant leak.
how the fuck did you get a judge

In the eastern states there's engine size restrictions and such, but over here in the west they don't care B)
Im in the South Aus, when you are on your L's you cna have any engine szie you want but on your P's your cant have turbos or v8's I think. Snow is banned here.

In the UK our insane insurance costs mean under 25's rarely venture beyond 1.4's of 90BHP+

That... that sounds awful. How does anyone pick up chicks?
Oh god they must have to rely on PERSONALITY and LOOKS!
How awful!

At least it cuts down compensation
But it's better to see what's inside and not what's outside, right?
I can't imagine myself paying over 2000$ to insure a tiny itty bitty car. When it barely cost me 400$ to insure a big car.
I'll stick to my big engine that drinks gasoline, appropriated for the acronym of this subforum, I should send it to the AA.

Not at £4.99 ($7.88 Canadian) per US gallon of unleaded you wouldn't.
We pay £6.00 Per UK/Imperial Gallon of unleaded it's mental. £1.32/Litre average for unleaded and £1.40/Litre Average for Diesel...
'Tis why I drive a fairly efficient 2L Turbo Diesel.
"Big" cars make no sense here, it's a world of cul-de-sacs and archaic road structures that can't meet the demands of modern road traffic. Driving into my street last night was hell, van either side. Must have been around half an inch of clearance after the mirrors either side. Idiots, What if an ambulance or other emergency vehicle needed access?!
Yeah but you are in UK and I'm in Canada, it's pretty normal that I stick to my big engine, if I was at your place, I too, would look for very economic cars.
Cleaned my motor up a little bit today. (it was much dirtier than this)

They cleaned up alright.
Now I need to wash this thing.
