Every friday and saturday, there's illegal streetracing going on around copenhagen where I live. So yesterday, my boss from work (I know, lol) called me and asked if we should go race since he just bought a new car too, and he'd like to see if i could keep up. He bought the Peugeot 407 V6. It's a 220 hp boat. Anyway, the roads were too slippery and we kept spinning, and it was no fun so we just drove around and looked at the other people trying to race. These are the cars, my bosses Peugeot, my Honda, and an old collegues Mitsubishi Pajero, which he uses for hillclimbing, mud driving etc. And that resulted in this shit because I drove behind him. Dirt kept falling off his car and onto my car. Then I made a rage kickdown and overtook him, lol.
that Peugeot is one of the ugliest cars ever made

He gave me a ride in it and he was all hyped up and was like "CHECK OUT THE MAD ACCELERATION YO", and then he smashed the throttle. That resulted in my head lightly nodding backwards on the headrest, and that's about it. God damn it it's slow.
if I could afford a 600/700hp supra... there's so many other cars I'd buy than a peugeot... even if it had a v6.
The 407 weighs almost 1800kg, you can't really expect it to have decent acceleration.

Hooray, I drive a car that nobody likes! It apparently doesn't exist in a version other than 3M stick-on-cheap-chinese-bullshit B. There seems to be a bit of the rear bumper assembly missing that holds a little bit more of the trim. I'm not going to buy a bumper just to fix some trim. Other than and a few paint problems I love this car. Aside from an intake manifold gasket and a failing AC compressor I haven't had any mechanical problems with it whatsoever. It's slowly nearing 150K miles, hopefully it'll make it another 150K more.
I've noticed the horn button on the dash (The big metal button with a plastic center. Those are horn buttons, for wiring up the horn if the steering wheel switch fails). Is that for your horn or is it incorrectly wired up for something else? Other than that it seems like a clean cruiser, and aside from that "smooth jazz" colored interior I bet it drives out real nice. Seats look super comfortable.

Was a lot cheaper to put a button there instead of a $350 airbag module. I don't mind the interior color too much. The leather is slowly turning purple from sun exposure though, so it looks kind of gross now. The carpet really shows stains too...took a *ton* of OxyClean to get pepsi out. You're right about the seats - they're amazingly comfortable. I've never driven a car with more comfortable seats in my life. Most of my friends fall asleep in the back. My only real complaint with the car is the dash is so fucking stupid. The next year finally revised it - i wish i could swap them. It's so goddamn small and way too spaced out.
the belt is in the door ? wth i've seen this the first time
Thats great safety, that way when you wreck and the door happens to fly open, it will choke you to death.
First car that I am still driving. A 2009 Subaru WRX. I will get pictures up soon.
Thats great safety, that way when you wreck and the door happens to fly open, it will choke you to death.
Generally when the belts are in the door, there is a hook-like mechanism that holds some little pegs on the door, so that if the body flexes away from the door it won't fly open if the latch mechanism fails. When they designed it, they didn't cut corners, they knew what they were doing.
Nice and shiny:
Woah, you have to get rid of those tails and that muffler asap!
Those rear lights are disgusting, lovely car otherwise.
From my other thread
Woah, you have to get rid of those tails and that muffler asap!
Tail lights agreed. Muffler, it's a full manifold-back so not just a back-box jobby and I love the sound it makes so it's staying. I didn't fancy having a fart can on there after original was blowing.
Oh I see. Get stock lights. Maybe some from the Japanese version

I never sold them because I had a feeling I'd start to dislike the current ones, which I am starting to :v: Will stick them back on after work and get some pics.
