It's your all-time favorite and you thought that was wood? :suicide:
I think it's been proven multiple times that I
A) Know absolutely nothing about AK's
B) Have extreme difficulty identifying Bakelite.

Bakelite doesn't have grain like wood does. It's a kind of swirly pattern.
So is that swirly plastic shit in the interior of cars Bakelite or just plastic?

are you aware of burled woods?
So is that swirly plastic shit in the interior of cars Bakelite or just plastic?
Depends on the price of the car. A High-end car like a Lexus or a Mercedes? real wood. Mid-range or lower? Plastic. Bakelite is kind of a relic of the '50s, it was an early polymer. So you're not going to see it used much in the modern day.
Boy I'm learning about space-age polymers and such all the time :downs:

It's a paintball gun, sure, but it shows how a wooden tavor would look. not great.
There are many guns that look like complete shit when you try and give them wooden furniture because of the way they're designed, but i do like how the black handguards on the wooden body look. I'd like to see a wood-stocked rifle with parts like that where you hold it.
man I dunno that looks pretty sexy

and also just because I'm an asshole, here's a comparison of a bakelite radio and a piece of Amboyna Burl (wood)

Point being that theoretically bakelite does look like wood.

Yes, but most Bakelite stuff we see nowadays is leftover from the 50's era, not the 1900's/10's.
Nice job splitting hairs when you know exactly what we're talking about.

Looking through this post, I was really intrigued and tried looking up how the TKB-022 worked and came upon this image

Upon gazing into the inner secrets of the TKB-022, I was instantly overcome with nausea and dizziness caused by the complex what-the-fuck-is-this-mechanism-holy-shit-my-mind
Appears to have the opposite goals of the AK-47(ease of maintenance, simplicity) in mind.

I can't tell if you're trying too hard or are actually being serious. There's also not a single bullpup M4 in any of the links you showed, the one that is next to is just a bunch of guns from Doom 3.
Also, let's get an airsoft mini-14 before anyone thinks about making a Morita, that way everybody's happy.

It would be a crime against humanity if someone made an airsoft mini-14 without offering a chrome + synthetic stock version. I don't even care if it's nasty shitty faux chrome effect or just painted silver, it's the thought that counts.
God I love that stock setup for Mini-14's. I was looking at getting one but I didn't feel like shelling out $600+ just for a folding stock.

Maruzen put out a Mini-14 in the late 80's, buuuuuut good luck finding one now. Especially in working condition. Which is kind of a shame, I'd like to have an airsoft Mini-14.
