Yeah that's the one we're talking about, its really disappointing because they never bothered to make a full stock for it, so you can either get the sawed-off one and look okay, or get that one and look like a professional derp.
Also, that version is just the sawed-off with a removable extension for the barrels, so it really is just coming as close as possible to being great while still being totally wrong.

It's not even inflation it's because they can get away with it.
Inflation?
As in the decrease of value per unit of currency over time?

hella strict/arbitrary import regulations
I wish we had someone who sold futuristic looking guns that weren't tactitool'd to death and had nice internals. Like just take some inspiration from peoples favorite Sci-Fi guns and make some neat airsoft pieces.
That or a SCAR that isn't >$300 and doesn't suck
I would fuck with that so hard if it just had a flash hider.

not that I don't love it without though
I love it without an FH. Looks so stubby and cute and I need to find a pic of one with a 9mm mag in it

The Department of Energy bought a lot of these so people call them DOE uppers lol
Those are either Model 633s, or Model 635s, but everyone just refers to them in that configuration as the DOE since that's what they're best known as.
G&P 9mm conversion kits are pretty common and the DOE front ends aren't difficult to make. I've seen plenty of airsoft versions of those, and my brother's even got one mostly finished in the other room.
They also use the same handguards as the M231 FPW.
Yeah the DoE bought them for nuclear plant security teams. And they're 633 "shorty"

Jesus christ you could hide those in your pants they're so small.
Suitcase AR-15

the DSR's mag setup just reminds me of the nerf longshot in reverse
An airsoft FG-42 would be amazing, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

The CETME Ameli would also be a nice one.

Look at it, it's like a small MG-42 that you can just carry and fire like a normal assault rifle
Type-81

the baby vomit colour kinda ruins it for me. if it was just in black then hell yea
are H&K's development team colorblind or something or do multiple people who work there seriously look at that and say 'yep that's a good color for a gun'
What are those chambered in?
5.56x45, they take STANAGs.
I wonder why those guns aren't more commonly used. Are they just shitty compared to other 5.56 rifles?
Depending on when they were released it probably wasn't worth it to replace whatever 5.56 rifle was already in service with most countries
The G41 was originally set to replace the aging G3 rifle as the front-line issue weapon of the Bundeswehr with the G11 designed for service with special operations units like the KSK. The reunification of West and East Germany and the budget crisis that followed forced the German authorities to cancel the order in 1989
So basically it's West Germany's equivalent to the STG-940. It was supposed to replace their main service weapon, then the re-unification fucked everything up and HK dropped them from their catalogue.
Speaking of the STG-940, that's something I wouldn't mind an airsoft version of:

I always thought H&K's STANAG guns were kinda ugly. It's like they took a nice looking HK and slapped a magwell copied from a 6-year-old's drawing of a gun on it.
I think it looks cool with that color...

They were intended to replace the G3 in Bundewehr service but after German reunification the Bundeswehr said no so HK put all their effort into the G36 instead.
