So it's really no different to nicotine gum then? If it agonises it it's just doing what nicotine does already. Stops you smoking it but is still doing what smoking does. You'd still have to withdraw from the physical side at a later date.

I'm really stoned at the moment so i apologise if you wanted a detailed response, but no it's not like nicotine gum
edit: I think i know where you're trying to come from though

Remember, the majority of the addictive qualities from cigarettes is the act of smoking.
Yeah, the thing I loved most was just smoking in general. Smoking (Whatever it may be) is fun in general for me.
I haven't had a cig in 2 days and I'm not craving but I think that's only because I've been puking every half hour.
I want some weed but I don't want to puke or shit all over the streets while looking for some.
:saddowns:
I haven't bought a pack of cigs since I bought a nice pickup last monday. Not a coincidence. And I bought a pack a day the week before that.

I think you dig too deep into these things. If i take that pill and i no longer feel the dependency in my system for nicotine, i think it does its job and could help a Lot. I think it would be easier to "forget" smoking if you didn't feel any dependency at all
I mean, what is your point with all that?
I think his point is that his speculations are based off science and yours are based off whatever you pull out of your asshole.

Digging in deep regarding drugs is important in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anal and have done irresponsible things with drugs, but I like to try and advise people professionally because I enjoy it and hopefully one time I'll stop someone eating 90grams of paracetamol or something like that.
It substitutes nicotine which deals only with the physical withdrawal. The general consensus is the habit of cigarette smoking is more addictive than the withdrawal symptoms. From this I can infer that taking something to just agonise the receptors will do essentially what nicotine gum does, albeit with some more activity it seems.
Wellbutrin has been shown to be quite effective at stopping cravings. It's a fairly new antidepressant DRI and having more dopamine floating around your brain tends to help dissuade us from using any drugs, especially dopaminergic ones such as nicotine.
I hope this was helpful. Try it if you want, but I think other methods work better. ;)

Pretty much. Anecdotes are important if you're a credible member of the forum but until you've been here for a while stick to empirical shit.

Cold turkey or ween myself off?
Weaning yourself off doesn't work with nicotine.
