the problem is, both the withdrawal and the immediate stop can lead to the inevitable, so I'm not really at a point of choice here. For those wondering, I have a condition where some of my glands cannot produce necessary hormones on their own and require some help. Also, for those asking why they would do this, I have no fucking clue how they could just simply say no no no no we no pay for you.
In the mean time, post it on reddit. You can get a small fund going, if you're up for free money of course. I can only hope you the best.
Reddit isn't a post-here-for-charity website, just because they do it sometimes doesn't mean everyone should go there.
If you can't think of anything to do. Then sell the extra drugs that you have on the streets or at school(if you have students that like buying meds). With that you should have enough to buy more meds.
Reddit isn't a post-here-for-charity website, just because they do it sometimes doesn't mean everyone should go there.
Yeah, but there is still that "sometimes" where they are, in fact, charitable. When you're faced with imminent death, you have to be open to almost any option. What I'm saying is, it's still worth a try.
Don't accept charities, cook meth.
That's horrible! You should really sue them, that must not be legal.
This is fucked up bro. Get a good lawyer and sue the fuck put of them if the appeal doesent go through.
I still don't see any particular condition name, gonna be the first to call troll If not, sue them.
When drugs have an expiration date they don't instantly go bad once it passes that date. Just take some of your backup to buy time to get the funding back from your insurance company. Also sue their asses.
I don't feel I have the resources or the money to sue a company as big as this. After looking at previous cases against Oxford Health, it seems they have a strong arm and have won even the easiest cases.
As stated before. Take this to court. They are basically saying their money is not worth your life, and that is utter bullshit. Dont accept this. Take it straight to court. Contact a lawer and start a war. They cannot get away with this
When Oxford Health wasn't making money on you, they basically cut your plan. Does that sound about right?
You shouldn't go straight to court, make this shit public first. Post about it in Reddit and a bunch of other places, get heard. THEN sue. They won't be able to make any sketchy moves if the media is on their asses. Aren't insurance and healthcare big topics in the US?
-snip- that was dickish.
I still don't see any particular condition name, gonna be the first to call troll If not, sue them.
there are several names that are related to it, scroll up and you'll see a description in my previous post

Shout it from the metaphoric mountaintops! If a health insurance provider is faced with major media backlash from a case like this, they will give in to your demands much easier. $4,000/month is much less than the possible millions they could lose from a major PR loss if they do something as sinister as dropping life-saving coverage and causing a person to die because of it.

However, if you win.. its going to be a big bill. But, is a big bill better then dieing? Absolutely. You have a legitimate case againt the company.
After seeing some of the terrible results of cases similar to mine, I don't think I want to take the risk of suing such a large arm. Not a lot of cases have succeeded against them and I do not wish to win, then spend my life paying for the bills. Tomorrow I will schedule an appointment with the doctor and see if there is some alternative medicine that is covered. Until then, goodnight chaps, and good luck.
OP, if you want to live, sue them. I'm serious. They'll back down if you make sure EVERYONE knows your story.
Someone get a Reddit post going
Medical insurance companies can be terrible people, like considering acne a preexisting condition and refusing to pay for necessary treatments. There are already plenty of people who have died because of this, and it's sickening.
Wow, I feel so sorry for you, man. I'm glad you could share it with us instead of silently going. Good luck on your appeal or if you decide to go to court with it.
Good news! out of absolute boredom I decided to call another insurance company, poured my heart out to the regional manager, and he said that they can setup a plan for me that would cover the entire cost of the medicine! The manager told me that this was not the first time he had people calling him up, pouring themselves out to get a plan for some life sustaining medication and that it made him sick that an insurance company could do that. So it looks like I may not be dying anytime soon, but that does not mean that I am in the clear forever due to the fact that I have been living on partially expired RNA for a few weeks. :v:
Okay, I'm not a lawyer or anything, but I can tell you that one month isn't enough time to sue an insurance company and get the coverage back. Regardless, I wish you best of luck, Adelle.
well that worked out i guess. EDIT: nevermind, i guess not yet. well this sucks. if on the off chance you lose, go shoot up the place.
Excellent news, Adelle.
Yeah sure coem to us we'll supply you with a life* long dose. *1 month
Well shit, that was fast. I thought I would be dead before that happened. I have coverage again, and the man I spoke to on the phone just called oxford health and ripped them a new one. :v: fuck. yes. I'm gonna live another day. I love you facepunch, you literally gave me the courage to save my own life.
