Well shit, that was fast. I thought I would be dead before that happened.
I have coverage again, and the man I spoke to on the phone just called oxford health and ripped them a new one. :v:
fuck. yes. I'm gonna live another day. I love you facepunch, you literally gave me the courage to save my own life.
mind me asking what you have?
I don't think anyone told you to change coverage, but only to sue, this sounds a lot like "LOL FP SAVED ME XD" now.
They're basically about to kill you. Sue the shit out of them

You are welcome man. Though you still should make your story heard even if it is partially over. You were lucky. What if they fuck someone over again, and that person might not be as lucky as you were.
This still cannot be accepted. You could've died.
mind me asking what you have?
a condition where my thyroid cannot produce certain hormones on its own due to an RNA screw up.
also, your avatar made my pants explode.
this sounds like a really good idea for a sitcom
HI DOUG!
I don't think anyone told you to change coverage, but only to sue, this sounds a lot like "LOL FP SAVED ME XD" now.
you don't have to be a douche about it, I was just saying that perhaps I would not have made the call if fp hadn't given me that courage.
Go to the press. Be sure to make the name of the insurance company doing this very well known.
maybe you should just get a RNA transplant/transfusion heh i dunno i'm not a doc or whatever. good luck OP!!!
You should still sue though
maybe you should just get a RNA transplant/transfusion heh i dunno i'm not a doc or whatever. good luck OP!!!
RNA insertions don't last long enough in the system to work effectively. I asked the same thing of my doctor 8 years ago.
If you sue and lose, then you've lost money and possibly die. If you don't sue, you probably die.
Post everywhere, get media attention, and sue their arses.
You people that rated funny should be ashamed of yourselves...
what per say "is" ribo nucleic acid
Sue them and find a provider that will cover it.
what per say "is" ribo nucleic acid
RNA, or basically the disposable template your body uses to make DNA.
Trust me, legal companies will do it for free if you lose. However, if you win.. its going to be a big bill. But, is a big bill better then dieing? Absolutely. You have a legitimate case againt the company.
Bill isn't a big deal if they get legal fees wrapped into the settlement as well.
can we have the name of the insurance company, so that everyone here can know who to avoid
Oxford Health
so what's the name of the condition?
so far you've just posted some vague descriptions of it that really could match up with hundreds of different diseases.
and you haven't mentioned the name of the drug either
so to me, this sounds like some secret terrible unnamed condition that has the ability to kill you, but somehow none of the insurance companies seem to agree with you, and it will kill you so fast that you won't even be able to be hospitalized before it hits (thus forcing the hospital to give you the medication needed)
but i guess it's all legit because you said so

basically its the sheet of paper you put in the copy machine and press copy on
think of it as your ass on the office copier if you like
Well I am glad that you were able to get another insurance company to cover you. That sucks here in America money means more than life, and many other things as well.
ok i might be late but once i read it was thyroid medication i realized i have thyroid problems to so if we have the same thing ill send you as much as i can, but what is the name of the meds?
this is illegal, and not very smart unless you're an expert in exactly what you're sending/taking

1) the condition is not officially named due to its variances but is simply known as an IGF1 deficiency.
2) The drug is an experimental variant of Somatropin, which stimulates the growth hormone in the pituitary and thyroid glands, in turn allowing my body to continue developing.
3) If you read correctly, it is not the condition that would kill me, it is the immediate loss of the drug in my body that would "rip the crutch from under my pituitary gland" and force some of my organs to stop reacting to the syntesized protein therapy I am also on.
4) It is not a hospital or doctor giving me the medication, it is the insurance company giving CVS Caremark the okay to ship it to me. Which is why even if I was filthy rich, I wouldn't receive my shipments anyway
I'm not an attention whore, making threads just to receive heart ratings and sympathy. But thanks for playing.
its human growth hormone?
that just doesn't cause nearly enough withdrawal symptoms to kill you like you're saying it will
and even if this experimental form does, you could simply walk into a hospital once you spontaneously start dying and they would be forced to treat you.
[editline]11th February 2012[/editline]
oh unless i'm misunderstanding you, do you really not have access to the medication through any local hospitals?
is the only way to get it via shipping?
