Our citizenship process is a absolute joke, we require things like US history. And we make people pay ridiculous amounts of money and time just to get in. It's not a guarantee of a job, home, any security.
fuck right off with this one
"it's so not cool that they have to learn the history of the place they want to live in, what's next, they actually learn the language? that's like a crime against humanity or something! they also have to work at it to get citizenship, why should they prove that they'd be a contributing member of society?"
I've also never heard of you being assured a job if you immigrate anywhere else, it's almost like you realized how stupid the rest of this part was and threw that on the end to throw the reader off
what's next, they actually learn the language?
well like technically we have no language
well like technically we have no language
technically we don't
what do you think the percentage of people who can't speak english are in the states
now what do you think the percentage of immigrants that can't speak english are in the states
This is why we have Chinatown and Little Italy etc.
John Stossel is a badass.
I thought that you meant an impostor posing as John Stossel had gone on a child molesting spree by pretending to be a reporter and visiting classrooms.
Hello facepunch, today we go in-depth into one of fox news brain-wa...ahem...classroom campaigns.
So today in homeroom, we were introduced with the usual daily BS. Morning announcements, Student Budget Report, etc. Until we got to WHAT'S GREAT ABOUT MERICA! Okay we actually watched a video entitled "What's great about America?". In which fox news reporter John Stossel tells you about bull...our great country. How our best economy produces great buissness opportunity, how our military decisions are non-invasive and constructive.

(By the way Stossel, you and your buddies don't belong in here.)
While we were in class, we were also told to take notes. Of course only two points were actually slightly okay. The rest came down like those birds recently:

Although this kind of advocation is a bit common of fox, their platform is a bit strange this time. Why would they reach out to young children? And why would it seem that they actually WANT to move americas reputation forwards? Especially since fox immediately shot down obama for being invasive in the classroom(Fox taking an obama strategy?! HUH?!?)
Also, has anyone else had this come up in your classroom? Any mention at all?
(Mind control I say, fight da powah!)
I know. We should tell ourselves that our country is absolutely terrible.

Seems legit to me. The video even contains criticism of America in it, I don't get what makes it so bad.
