Those grammar nazis And also all of these (dis)like-bar jokes on youtube
"the like bar is as big as justin biebers penis xD"
Ah, that reminds me Internet dorks who rag on about "fake nerds" All these "fake nerds" are doing is appropriating a stereotype because "nerdy" things are considered hip and intellectual (made attractive in pop culture even), which ironically is why these ""real" nerds" like to refer to themselves as such which is stupid because nerd and geek were originally epithets for abuse and comes across to me as a means to fit in with a group of other insecure cynical asshats who feel their "culture" is being threatened. There are no official set criteria to be a nerd as such but there are rather prominent cliques who try to set a standard apart from being heavily ivested in a subject commonly regarded as nerdy at the expense of friends, family and hygiene only to be (supposedly) debunked because the 90's isn't my favourite decade and Ocarina of Time isn't my #1 game. Sorry dickheads but it isn't up to you or your bandwagon to decide who is what or not based on their opinion on anime or politics, shove it Hope I worded that right
pretty much, it's super petty and childish, kinda like how people pride themselves in being "hardcore" gamers and everyone else is a casual/poser or whatever. it's just like a bunch of kids making their little secret club where no one else is allowed in just so they can feel superior basically what i'm getting at is that if you treat gaming as anything other than entertainment or an art form to be appreciated you're a tool
People that are just flat out hostile.

I mean maybe there are girls who flaunt their sex on voice chat or post sexy photos of themselves with consoles but is that really so hard to just ignore? In fact is a self-proclaimed male "hardcore" gamer that different? Sure not all of them view women who play games that way, but a disturbing amount do. Now I feel I'm going off topic :v: just gotta let it out maaan
Those grammar nazis. And also all of these (dis)like-bar jokes on YouTube.
Hey fixed that for you. :)
the astonishing abundance of socially awkward teenage boys with ridiculous sexist and/or racist attitudes and opinions.
Fanboy wars
wannabe trolls who think they're funny
Furries and bronies, most fandoms in general. I also really hate overly popular/cancerous memes and obnoxious e-celebs.
gamer/internet culture in general sucks pretty hard it encourages people to be cynical and condescending because that's apparently what's hip, except that if you acted like that in real life no one would even talk to you for being such an insufferable twat in other words it's a place for unlikable people to pretend they're cool
Nothing wrong with being cynical doesn't mean I go around acting like a cunt
Item the first: Person A says something unpopular and is basically crucified. Treated as if he were hitler crossed with skeletor. Person B says the exact same fucking thing and is treated like Jesus. Item the second: "You don't like what I like? DIAF FGT" Item the third: "You like single player? Get away from me you diseased vermin..." Item the fourth: Hiveminds. Fuck hiveminds. Item the fifth: Person A has a problem. Person B offers the correct solution, yet for some bizarre reason is crucified and called a moron. Person C offers the same exact solution and is showered in praise. Item the sixth: "Your opinion differs from mine? OMG ITS HITLER!" Item the seventh: "You don't worship the Earth Mother? You fucking heathen go die" Item the eighth: ATT. Item the ninth: Asshole legislators trying to censor/snoop in it. Item the tenth: ATT.
Too much hate
How there is no room for alternate opinions. Everywhere, especially Facepunch, gets plagued by this issue. People automatically rule out entire groups and opinions (like we tend to do to Conservatives) without taking them into consideration, than bitch when the same happens to them. I also hate how condescending everyone is. Let's face it, most people on the internet were bullied as kids and thus have low-self esteem. In turn, bullying is very common on the internet. While I think people take it far too seriously, it still shouldn't happen like it does. You'd think people who know what it is like to be treated like shit would have some sympathy for people in a similar "fish out of water" position (like, most of us don't blend in with football players but than again those football players don't blend in here on the internet, to give a very generalized example). Of course, then we have the whole "no fun allowed". While I personally dislike a lot of groups and media, I certainly won't deny anyone the right to participate in it, unless it actively hurts someone. Speaking of which, than we have the rampant stupidity that sweeps the internet like a plague. Meme's, Youtube comments, and Facebook/Twitter posts all seem to contain a fucking monument to stupidity and, while I cannot tell people to stop doing what they like, I still hold the right to personally think it is fucking retarded. The general pessimism of internet is tiring. Everywhere you go people bitch and moan about how horrible their life is. How fucking horrible their fucking life is. Seriously, you are seated in front of an expensive as piece of space age equipment beyond the understanding of the people throughout our history, you have the largest and most incomprehensibly vast network of knowledge and entertainment at your disposal, and you probably have a house, food, and an education. Don't you fucking tell me your life sucks. Believe me, I used to be the same way. But I grew up and realized my life is fucking fantastic and now I love every second of it, even the times where I complain like right now. Obviously you have a right to be upset over things or to have sad days but for fuck sake, most of our lives are grand. So stop being a mopey emo spodge and grow a pair, get out, and enjoy the awesome world we live in.
I don't like this. People who think other people can solve their issues with a snap because they have never been in their position.
I agree with this person. Yes, you may have a house, food and a computer, will that stop other people from harming you for their own amusement? No. Will it stop them from insulting you? No. Will it stop your parents from using drugs or alchohol? No. Will it stop your loved one's from dying? No. I know that a lot of people complain, and some of them do it for no reason, but there's plenty of people that have all right to complain.
The fact that everyone is so damn full of themselves, to the point where you can prove them wrong in a hundred different ways, and their whole line of thinking is still just "you're dumb because your don't agree with me"

It's just that debate in general here becomes vitroilic with extroadinary speed.
Memes. Particularly Forced/long dead ones.
"An ignorant person is one who doesn't know what you have only just found out." To a lot of people laughing at those decrepit memes, it's comparatively fresh off the presses. That having been said, I find it rather bizarre how those rage faces are enough to make things funnier for a lot of people. I vaguely remember a study done a while ago that found people laughed at certain comics more when those faces were added, as if it were a cue saying "OK, you can laugh at this now".
How everyone seems to be very selfish and no consideration for anyone else, especially in video games. You also have a lot of people who are very entitled/immature who just get really whiny when called out on their bullshit. And also the high amount of rape jokes you hear, along with stuff like 'lol relax it's just a joke'.
I can't ever trust a website that ends in .tk after figuring out that every website ending in that is just a scam site.
Condecending Assholes who act like they're in some sort of "Internet Club" just because they can spout dumb memes and other "internet Culture" idiosyncrasies in real life and regurgitate other people's opinions on matters that they know nothing about just to sound "edgy".
I just hate how it really underlines how much hatred/tension some people have for the people of other nations. I sort of fell victim to it too. After talking to a bunch of people online/having stereotypes reinforced by pop culture I found myself with a set of stereotypes in mind for people of all different cultures. Like, for instance, that French people are assholes and hate all foreigners. I took a trip to Europe this summer, including Paris, and I expected to be treated pretty badly during my stay in France (and later Spain and Italy) but to my surprise just about everyone was nice, nobody cared that we were americans, and everything went all swell. I was sort of horrified and disgusted with myself for forming those opinions on such a wide group of people without first-hand knowledge or experience, and now I can't stand it when people believe these stereotypes in real life or on the internet.
That the majority of the Atheists on the internet give sensible ones a bad name "omg im so sorry for your loss i will pray for you :(" "LOL UR FOKIN STUPED GOD ISNT REEL UR PRAYING IS JEST A WASET OF TIME" Wow, fuck off, if someone wants to pray to feel better and help others feel better, let 'em do it. Don't fucking shit all over them. I do not believe in God either, but, I know prayer is a coping mechanism and a way for people to spread their condolences in a way that many people can relate to. Whoever prays after a loss, I say, more power to 'em. It's not my duty to tell others what is and isn't real, and nor is it anyone else's. If they don't people shoving their religion down their throat, why do they shove their non-religion down others'? Disgusting. On top of that, people who insult and shit all over someone else just because they state they are Christian/Muslim/Buddhist/whatever, and absolutely nothing else. On second thought, this happens a lot in real life too, but not as much as the internet, the place of anonymity...

People who bump threads and don't have a good reason for doing it.
People that will go bat-shit crazy on your if you disagree with the smallest shit. "I love Ezreal!" "You're a complete fucking dumbass, Ezreal is the worst motherfucker in the blah blah blah" Dick.
The term "noob".
The systematic and ruthless infection of The 'brony' fandom across the majority of all popular games and sites on the internet. Not that I have anything against the 'bronies' themselves, but I'd care not to see a pony everywhere I visit on the internet.
"ORIGINAL" CHARACTERS. I'm talking about those stupid (insertname) the Hedgehogs and bisexual half-dragon half-lizard half-dog half-human 100% cancerous moron with dark majyyk powers that you see everyfuckingwhere in DeviantArt, and unfortunately, sometimes in Steam. Oh, and don't get me even started on MLP OCs. Ironically, I've had an (un)original character in the Homestuck fandom, but I didn't go around advertising it in Steam or anywhere else as if it was Sliced Bread 2.0 Premium Edition. Because who would care about some terrible character I made?
