One last thing. [sp]Okay, Russian robot got attacked by 2 monsters but Chinese robot died too easily in my opinion.[/sp]
There is a very simple explanation to this - [sp]"Made in China"[/sp] :v:
I also need to mention this. I saw it with Czech dubbing which was okay but I was amazed they actually nailed Czech GLaDOS.
I also need to mention this. I saw it with Czech dubbing which was okay but I was amazed they actually nailed Czech GLaDOS.
Is there any recording we could hear it from?
Went to the cinema last night to watch this. It's one of the few monster movies that can claim it's EXACTLY as awesome as the description ("giant robots fight giant monsters") makes it sound.
One last thing. [sp]Okay, Russian robot got attacked by 2 monsters but Chinese robot died too easily in my opinion.[/sp]
I think it's because [sp]the Kaiju adapt to their opponents. The acid spit attack seems to have been 'developed' to take out the Chinese Jaeger from a distance.[/sp] Edit: Wait I think that attack was actually used against the Russians...
Can't find any video with the dubbing but I swear it sounded just like GLaDOS. Same tone and robot effect but spoke Czech. I seriously hope my ears didn't betray me. After all you don't hear her that often in the movie.
In German she didn't sound like GLaDOS at all. :(
I mostly had issues with [sp]the egoistical son suddenly becoming pretty humble without much explanation,[/sp]
Shit got seriously real. When [sp]you're on a mission that you know is 99% likely to kill you and you're never going to see your father again who would have been dying with you until he got injured, you'd probably lose the douchebag too. He realised he was in a situation where he couldn't afford to have an ego.[/sp]
If North Korea made their own Jaeger, what would they name it?
BigDong
I also need to mention this. I saw it with Czech dubbing which was okay but I was amazed they actually nailed Czech GLaDOS.
I'm Czech too and I can confirm this.
If I may be honest, [sp]The whole sequence after Knifehead had played dead terrified the shit out of me, especially when he'd ripped out i'll just call him Riley's brother's cockpit and sent him flying and then he fucking ran Gypsy through with his head-mounted "knife" Jesus..[/sp]
It isn't really a spoiler because it is literally the beginning of the film.
It is because it's completely unexpected.

You have that feeling something bad is going to happen anyway.[/sp]
[sp]Anyone who didn't expect something horrible to happen I find weird, although that's just me spending the entire opening sequence going "ok something horrible is going to happen it's just a matter of time".[/sp] I was actually glad that it turned out one thing heavily featured in the trailers and advertising didn't turn out to be a mid-movie spoiler, anyway.
Loved the movie, the cgi in the jaeger scenes was top notch, it was a little shoddy in some scenes involving real life actors, though. [sp]I really wonder how they could be so stupid as to think building a wall would stop the kaiju. And as for the opening scene, they basically outright said something was going to go wrong so it wasn't all that unexpected[/sp]
It's neat seeing Striker Eureka on half the buses down here.

For the most part they would have only encountered Kaiju of a certain size plus they didn't know they were a hive mind that learned from each other's experiences.[/sp]

They already knew the Kaiju got stronger and stronger and spawned faster and faster. Did they expect hundreds of Kaiju to just stand in front of the wall and wait until they starved to death instead of punching against the wall for hours, days or weeks until they got through?[/sp]
What I just love about this movie, or actually guillermo, is that it really has thought and effort put behind every piece of idea and concept in the movie! like its the best thing in the world for me to see stuff like the Kaiju and Jaegers fight against each other with their appealing designs because it makes me feel like a little kid playing with some toys and imagining a colossal epic fight i wanna hug guillermo and thank him, this movie entertained me alot
Am I the only person who thinks of Gurren Lagaan whenever they see Gipsy Danger's head? I swear it's wearing Kamina's shades :v:
Its a little thing but I am so glad [sp]Mako and Raleigh didn't kiss at the end[/sp]
Its a little thing but I am so glad [sp]Mako and Raleigh didn't kiss at the end[/sp]
In my opinion it would've looked forced.
In my opinion it would've looked forced.
Especially because [sp]she nearly died a few minutes earlier. I don't think a hollywood makeout session would fit.[/sp]
Especially because [sp]she nearly did a few minutes earlier. I don't think a hollywood makeout session would fit.[/sp]
And [sp]her father figure just died like fifteen minutes before.[/sp]
no kaiju before that one had a head like that, so that kaijus head was designed to break through
Trespasser did.

I didn't feel like reading the past page but a sequel is confirmed
