Del toro said he'd help make a true Pacific Rim game if the movie did well. So even though it's less likely than another movie, a game is possible.
The Jaegers would most likely be garbage against anything that isn't a Kaiju. Just aim for the legs or head with a few missiles and down she goes.
You can say the same about building the Jaegers to fight Kaiju :v:
I could see countries fighting each other with them and then need to put aside their differences to fight an even larger number of Kaiju coming through even more rifts. [editline]15th September 2013[/editline] Actually, that's super cliche'.

Or they could go the way of Heavy Gear, Jaegers fighting in an arena, each country vying to outdo the others.

Sequel? Well I'm thinking after a good decade or so, [sp]the aliens from the other side try to send kaiju through again, but more seriously this time. But over this decade, mankind's technology has risen (although offensive stuff has become rather slack due to no kaiju). So they bust out the old Jaegers but with some new enhancements and stuff and try to fight back but get overwhelmed a little, so they create some sort of device to throw them into the other side. then yadda yadda collosal fights and other badass del toro scenes happen. then they come back and everyone's happy. Maybe they steal a bit of alien technology on the way back?[/sp] Although that's just my idea for what I want to happen.
well it's just that essentially there are no jaegers left. i mean they've all either become fubar or are sitting at the bottom of the ocean.
Lop off the third arm, get a couple of pilots, and stick a new head on it and Crimson Typhoon is good to go.
Lop off the third arm, get a couple of pilots, and stick a new head on it and Crimson Typhoon is good to go.
except just like cherno it's sitting at the bottom of the hong kong bay. i doubt it's salvageable at this point, gipsy danger was an exception because it was still mainly intact (the head was attached).
combine all the parts to form a megazord-jeager [editline]23rd September 2013[/editline] throw in a 5 way drift too
combine all the parts to form a megazord-jeager [editline]23rd September 2013[/editline] throw in a 5 way drift too
As long as Crimson Typhoon doesn't form the head we should be fine.
except just like cherno it's sitting at the bottom of the hong kong bay. i doubt it's salvageable at this point, gipsy danger was an exception because it was still mainly intact (the head was attached).
and Gibsy Danger crashed on a shore instead of sinking to the bottom of the sea with exposed parts that the water can easily fuck up, if not immediately then in the long run. Typhoon's head got ripped off, i'm p sure that ruptured a great portion of the main info/power conduits and mechanisms and caused great if not unrepairable damage to the vital internal components when support frames had to struggle against the kaiju's strength, and that brings in the question of reactor damage and leaking etc
I don't think fixing Typhoon is the problem, it's got to be finding another three people that can do a three-way drift and are skilled fighters Also, Pacific Rim's extra features on iTunes are just those 4-minute behind the scenes videos that are on Youtube and there isn't any extra Jaeger footage, I want my money back
I am going to base my blu-ray purchase entirely on which cover is cooler but I can't decide [t]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/91Wijc2wWHL._SL1500_.jpg[/t] [t]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/91LbSqXChUL._SL1500_.jpg[/t] I'm leaning towards the 3D version.
the second one is p cool but Gipsy looks awfully low-poly somehow [editline]8th October 2013[/editline]
I don't think fixing Typhoon is the problem, it's got to be finding another three people that can do a three-way drift and are skilled fighters
well considering the state Typhoon - its most high tech and expensive parts at least - could be in they might as well rebuild it entirely

For me the 3D Blu-Ray is the top one and the 2D is the bottom. I'm looking at Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.
I like the 2D box art.
Actually I find the the plain old DVD art to be the best [t]http://www.dvdsreleasedates.com/covers/pacific-rim-dvd-cover-01.jpg[/t]
I don't know what's up with so many cool movies that have shitty covers when released on DVD and Blu ray, same thing happened with the avengers Those are all way too bright to be honest, there isn't a single time where you even see gypsy danger with such bright, saturated colors
I'mma post random shit every day 'till I get my copy:
i'm sure it's been said before but this would make a fantastic anime series, amirite?
i'm sure it's been said before but this would make a fantastic anime series, amirite?
Aren't giant robot fights an anime staple?
Something I photoshopped a few weeks ago (the decals not the car): Inspired by Tacit of course
