hey! DPfilms and kuro are currently working on full size Jaegers, they have finished Cherno alpha and are working on Crimson Typhoon. none have been released yet. so they could be releasing all the jaegers as a giant set. the link is below http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1289722&p=42402462 I forgot to mention, its for gmod, if you didn't know. it could be ported for sfm, but I don't know.

So I'm looking at some Pacific Rim shirts and I come across these two wonderful designs: [t]http://i.imgur.com/wkGY1f8.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/bvIgutY.png[/t]
So Pacific Rim is out on DVD/Blu-Ray today. At least, in America it is. I preorderd it on Amazon and payed the extra for the "delivered the day it's out" option, so hopefully it'll be here today.
Picking mine up at Barnes & Noble today
Ill get on Black Friday thats for sure.
I'm going to get it for my birthday in a week.
Not that we need another confirmation but [QUOTE]IGN: Do you think with something like Pacific Rim 2, can the Blu-ray make or break a sequel? GDT: No, we are writing the sequel. Travis Beacham and I are writing, so that is active. The decision to green light or not, that’s definitely above my pay rate.
Also: IGN: Since we were talking about the Pacific Rim Blu-ray, what is your Blu-ray collection looking like these days, because I know you’re a collector? Do you have a huge library of Blu-rays? GDT: Yeah, I’m still predominantly DVD because, by the time Blu-ray came out, I had already about 7,000 titles. Otherwise, which ones I upgrade to Blu-ray depend on the package, if it’s worth it. But I must be around 900 Blu-rays and the [7,000] DVDs that I have. IGN: And that doesn’t include LaserDiscs, right? GDT: [Laughs] Oh, on top of that I have LaserDiscs, VHS, and Beta!
I've already rewatched it two times and already plan on watching it again. OH GOD WHY IS IT SO GOOD?

bought the bluray/dvd today at fye what the fuck, i never saw anything about a holographic cover. this is still cool though. one part is gipsy danger, the other is what appears to be the kaiju from the beginning of the film. both are standing over a destroyed city with a little mako standing in awe.
What's this Ultraviolet bullshit? Should be able to just download the film, this program is so damn off-putting.
What's this Ultraviolet bullshit? Should be able to just download the film, this program is so damn off-putting.
i was annoyed by this as well, all versions only use ultraviolet for streaming. i would like to have it on my ipod..
i was annoyed by this as well, all versions only use ultraviolet for streaming. i would like to have it on my ipod..
Ya I got the impression that I would have gotten a bluray quality digital copy just on my computer. Oh well, bluray and dvd ain't a bad deal for $20.
Buying a shirt today. Check out this site guys (ends tonight) https://www.teefury.com/afterhours
Alright so definetly a sequel and not a prequel, das cool. A prequel could have been cool though, id love to see some mark 1/2 badassery. For the sequel, im hoping in the farther future, humanity is using jaegers for sport until shit goes down fuck if the whole movie has like no kaiju and is just jaeger on jaeger combat, id see that.
I hope in Pacific Rim 2 the aliens open another breach, this time on the moon, and in order to fight space kaiju humanity builds space jaegers
underground jaeger fights
Uh, yeah, underground...
Uh, yeah, underground...
I imagined Gundams being much larger.
Underground as in illegal or off the radar [editline]16th October 2013[/editline] Street you know Red
Uh, yeah, underground...
I didn't mean literally underground I'd imagine the fights happening in small 3rd world countries, hidden from the public, near buildings and areas that are going to be demolished, that kind of stuff
I didn't mean literally underground I'd imagine the fights happening in small 3rd world countries, hidden from the public, near buildings and areas that are going to be demolished, that kind of stuff
That'll be pretty difficult to hide, still. Satellites would be able to see them from space.
That'll be pretty difficult to hide, still. Satellites would be able to see them from space.
That's why you'd have people like Ron Perlman's character who'd have deals with the jaeger guys in order to do that stuff
bought the bluray/dvd today at fye what the fuck, i never saw anything about a holographic cover. this is still cool though. one part is gipsy danger, the other is what appears to be the kaiju from the beginning of the film. both are standing over a destroyed city with a little mako standing in awe.
The Kaiju is Scunner, one of the monsters that appears in the final battle, not Axehead/Trespasser, the one from the beginning.
Uh, yeah, underground...
i wonder if the guy making this realized that part of the strength behind the jaeger's punches is its ridiculous weight, hence why it moves so slow. like, no shit weight would increase faster than the physical strength of the robot. but like a 300lb offensive lineman (d'brickshaw ferguson for example), you turn that weight to your advantage. a 45-ton arm (don't quote me on that, just an example), going at a speed of whatever will have a hell of a force behind it simply because as speed increases, mass increases as well, meaning any hits the kaiju take will be fucking hard hits.
Look at how fast Crimson Typhoon was, that had rockets powering each swing.
So I did indeed get my Pacific Rim blu-ray yesterday, and now I'm just devouring every single special feature on every disc. I'm a little confused as to why they needed to separate things into two blu-rays, though. I thought one of the advantages of blu-ray was that they had enough disc space to fit everything on one disc, unless there's something I'm not understanding just yet (I'm guessing the Special Features disc just has so much crap in it that they couldn't even fit the damn movie in it, maybe?).
