Stretching every day can help your muscles (so everyday if you can). Usually in the morning is the best. I do a routine where I stretch my calfs and heel (but I'm a runner so what do you want?) but you could just try and find a regular routine on the internet you would like to do. Stretching once you wake up, and when you come home can be good (or before and after you work out). If you know any yoga that would help a lot as they are mostly just stretches.
Thanks, will try stretching every morning.

No problem! May I ask why you want to stretch? To just get into shape, or to train?

I took Tang Soo Do for 7 years and felt pretty great. I stopped a couple years ago after I got my black belt and started feeling like burning, tearing, achy shit.

cracking your knuckles gives you arthritis
Anyone know if clicking your joints is bad for you or not?
It's not known to give you arthiritis, that's just an old wives tale. However you might lose some grip strength if you click your knuckles daily for 30+ years, other than that keep clicking.

Nope. Common misconception. It was disproved a while ago - at most, it'll give you a weak handshake and maybe freaky-looking knuckles. But that might just be me and me freakishly long thumbs.
Doctor, NOW!
No really. See a Cardiologist if this is a reoccurring issue.
It only hurts very rarely and only lasts for about ten minutes. Should I still go if it's at that rate?

Daily? I crack them almost hourly :v:

Okay not quite that often but you get the idea.
I can make me knees crack by turning my lower leg.
My heart has been aching really bad lately, I think it's because i've been stressed out alot lately.

Take lots of deep, slow breaths and drink lots of water. Also, try feeling your chest where your heart beats. Does anything feel abnormal, like something's being pushed out of the way? I had some similar pains last month that went away.
Shit. I think I might have arthritis.
I used to get these weird small heart attacks every 2 weeks since I was a little kid, it's only happened like twice in the last 6 months though. If my torso moves in any way i get intense pain in my chest even more. No numbness in my arms but definite pain where I assume my heart is.
It's a great party trick.

You sure that isn't precordial catch syndrome? Sure sounds a lot like it...

Pain in your chest does not always mean heart attacks.
You would also get discomfort in other areas of the upper body, shortness of breath and other symptoms which may include breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea, or light-headedness.

It sounds like PCS. I had PCS a lot when I was 10-14. but after I turned 15 I really never had that happen again. If you think it's something else besides PCS, i would go see a doctor/cardiologist.
It could be PCS, or it could be a host of many things.
Esophagus
Lungs
Muscles surrounding your chest
Heart? Arteries/pathways.
Etc etc.
Again, if you don't think it is PCS, and if you're concerned it couldn't hurt to go to the doc and get a quick check up.
I really hope it's PCS, I've been really scared about it since I was young.
How old are you and how/long often has it been happening?
15, happens very rarely, last few seconds, until, at least, 1 minute.
15, happens very rarely, last few seconds, until, at least, 1 minute.
He meant how long has it BEEN happening for. ie a month, a year etc.
15, happens very rarely, last few seconds, until, at least, 1 minute.
I mean, if i was to make a bet, i would say it is PCS, because When I was 15 I had that happen to me a few times. And I know a lot of people who had this happen a lot to them when they were that age.
If you're a healthy person and all. Then I wouldn't be too worried and I would just attribute it to being PCS.
Thanks, it made me less worried. :)
Next time it happens, inhale real quickly and hold it, and then exhale rapidly.
I've heard it helps.
I'm waking up in the middle of the night with charley horses in my calves. I've been eating plantains, so I doubt I have a potassium deficiency. What else is causing this?

This reminds me. Silk fabric seems to give me those for some reason and I can't think of a single logical reason why, it's fucking weird.
It seems like any time I've slept with my legs in contact with silk, I've been awoken with a Charley horse in at least one leg. Worst case scenario was waking up with it in one leg, after that one I get one in my other leg, then after that another one in my first leg. I couldn't walk without support for at least 6 hours after that one.
Anybody have any idea on that?
I think I have assburgers. What do I do? It all happened one day when I sat on a hot grill.
This is by far one of the funniest thread's I have read on Facepunch. Some of the diagnostics on here are helarious.
I'm an armchair doctor trust me.
I watch medical shows on TV.
Wow, this sounds like what I have. I was scared of a more serious case.
That's the exact reaction I had to finding out what it was as well!
Glad to have helped :)
