I still get fairly consistent cystic acne, despite practising good hygiene and washing/moisturizing my face regularly. I also get enough excercise and etc etc. Is it true that cystic acne goes beyond personal hygiene and other habits?
I ate some mcdonalds fries a couple hours before that. I feel better now, it's just that it has been happening several times weekly. First, I get some weird feeling of sadness. Then my body starts shaking. I think it might be low blood sugar because I asked a nurse about it today and she said something about low sugar.
Do you know your BMI, and do you exercise much?
why on earth would you have an operation? sharp object for lancing and some antinasties solution
Because when the nail is embedded too far into your toe there's no way of getting it out without some hardware

I have a crater in the middle of my chest. [editline]12th December 2011[/editline] pectus excavatum or some shit like that
I accidentally swallowed a nickel earlier. :v: Got it up eventually. Don't ask. [editline]10th December 2011[/editline] What wonderful pageking content.
You should eat bread if you swallow something like that. It packages it and stops it from tearing your insides up. Hormones you can't really change. Neither genetic. Psychological you can, relieving stress and stuff. There is an association between diet, high glycemic loaded diets, ie lots of carbs can effect it.
has anybody had any pulmonary function tests? i just did a little googling and the main one seems to be a spirometry, which is basically just breathing in and out but my doctor said something about slight radiation and a chest xray, which doesn't seem to be a regular pulmonary function test? i was just wondering if anybody's had this done before, so i have more of an idea of what to expect!
Why is it whenever I see an attractive female, I feel a stiffness in my pants? This has been afflicting me since I was 12. [sp]Late as hell, I know[/sp]
Do you know your BMI, and do you exercise much?
My BMI is an estimated 18. And I do push ups on the occasion, when I remember to.

But tbh it sounds like you're just a bit on the skinny side. Just have a glass of soft drink or some food next time it happens. I chew the skin off of my lips. Will I have any future medical issues with this?
I still get fairly consistent cystic acne, despite practising good hygiene and washing/moisturizing my face regularly. I also get enough excercise and etc etc. Is it true that cystic acne goes beyond personal hygiene and other habits?
It's nearly entirely unlinked, despite what people say. There are some links to diet affecting it, but most of it is hormones and a little bacteria that loves your pores. If it's causing you grief, go to a doctor, they'll give you an antibiotic, then if that doesn't work, benzoyl peroxide will be given (stronger than the OTC version). If you still have issues, it's a dermatologist referral which leads to a blood test for liver function to see if you can cope with isotretinoin. (at least, in the UK) Only bother making them go to the isotretinoin if it's really bad, it's not comfortable at all, I had to do it as my acne was awful. I've only got very light scarring now, and most people don't notice it. Oh yeah, and in the year since treatment, I've only had 2 spots appear. (and go)
I chew the skin off of my lips. Will I have any future medical issues with this?
uh sore lips?
uh sore lips?
Well yeah, but anything else? Because they do bleed a bit, I'm wondering if there might be any issues with swallowing it.
uh guys, i have a problem. my nose is constantly blocked and i have to breathe from my mouth when i'm sleeping, which causes me to wake up with a REALLY dry mouth. i've already gone to the doctor and he told me to use some nasal spray that's not working. does anyone know some home remedies? i've been suffering for 6 months now.
Well yeah, but anything else?
I'll try to reduce my stress, and when I have a panic attack, my heart rate spikes, I get a little dizzy, and it feels like I can't breeze to the point where I'm gasping for air. I haven't seen anyone about it yet, and next time it happens I'm going to start doing a shitload of pushups or something, thanks for the advice.
not trying to be mean, but i know how it feels, I have anxiety that comes and goes, medication is a bad idea and ill explain why in a minute, but a panic attack is where your heart rate spikes really high, you start shaking in a almost fear like manner, and you are extremely afraid of something, anything that the mind can come up with, anyway medication is bad because once on medication you believe you are fine, then as it wears off it causes anxiety or a panic attack because you are afraid that you might have anxiety or a panic attack because you are not on medication, its a never ending cycle of fuck.
I have a crater in the middle of my chest. [editline]12th December 2011[/editline] pectus excavatum or some shit like that
I've got this too. I plan on visiting with the doctor about having it fixed surgically. If my insurance company will cover it that is. It's been passed off as purely cosmetic for a long time, but people are starting to realize it can cause heart problems. That means it's sort of a toss up on whether they will or not. I'm hopeful. does anyone here experience pain on the tailbone when you've sat infront of the computer for sometime?
i'm experiencing it right now and i put it down to the fact i've been sat on my arse for most of the day
Sometimes I get really bad pains in my lower-right back. It just happened today where if I bend a certain direction, I get a pain so bad that it tightens all of my back muscles and it's been preventing me from making certain motions. Any idea how to prevent this in the future?
Maybe try stretching in the morning/afternoon?
stretching is of dubious worth you should do squats

They do what they say they do, keep the nasal passages open. I'm sure you can find it in any pharmacy or equivalent store you may have over there. [editline]14th December 2011[/editline]
"Helps me breathe through my nose at night, allows me to get to sleep easier and prevents my mouth from drying out from breathing through it. I've been using Breathe Right strips for several years now, and I plan to continue. I don't go to bed without one!"
One of the reviews. Not sure how similar Iceland and the USA are but any pharmacy store should have them, over with the various other medicines and whatnot.
But do you want it done for cosmetic, or medical reasons?
Both.
a lil bit of blood is coming out of my front butt and i feel a lil funny
does anyone here experience pain on the tailbone when you've sat infront of the computer for sometime?
After a long session of computer gaming, Raise your arms all the way up, stretch out as much as possible and then tighten the muscles in the lower back as much as you can. It pops and you get a huge amount of relief.

How long does it take for a rash to clear up, on average?
