So after sixteen years or so of peacefully sleeping on my sides/stomach I tried to fall asleep starting off on my back, close my eyes and chill for about 4 minutes or so then my eyes twitch like fuck and it's so distracting no matter how tired I am it's impossible to sleep.
What do?

sleep on your side/stomach.
Hey FP, me again, this time my left has red eye, had it for 2 days now, two days ago it started, dunno how, it just did in the middle of me playing BF3, yesterday it felt like it was burning and felt like dirt was in my eye lid, so i washed it out with a couple eye drops, it was fine, just red, then today it makes me want to close both of my eyes, my right eye is not red, so dunno what is causing this, I am going to the doctor once someone comes home in the next 2-3 hours, but I'll see what you "medical" experts say, and I typed this post half blind, so I hope their is no typos.

FP Doctor, last few nights when I've gone to bed I've felt some kind of exhaustion in my heart, it beats very fast like if i were running somewhere, or in a stressful situation, and the beats aren't in rhytm, they make pauses and are irregular, the two beats I mean, they don't go like Du-Dun, Du-Dun, but Du-Dun, Du...Dun-Du... Du-Dun. etc
I think this is some kind of cardiac dysrhythmia. Can't still bother to go to a doctor.
Also sometimes it happened on evenings when I was just going to bed, like watching a TV.
Also I don't have stress, everything's fine overall. Idk. Is this normal? Well of course it's not normal, but yes
I play computer for long periods of time and exercise and random intervals to try to keep "fit". Sadly I still have bad posture though but it most likely isn't a factor of what is happening. Lately I have been noticing a weird feeling on the skin of my left shin (the skin under the knee and above the foot at the front), like some sort of numbess. Not complete numbess though as I can still feel it but as if the skin is "asleep". I have had this feeling for 3-4 days now. This feeling is not present in the right leg.
Ive been doing some reading and this can be the result of two things.
-The first is shin splints - significant inflammation of the fascia of the shin - which is often linked to new or unaccustomed exercise, particularly running.
-The second is sciatica, where the problem is actually in the bottom of the back, but is felt at certain parts of the leg depending on which nerve is affected.
What concerns me is that I havent tooken part in any new or unaccustomed excerises using the legs and I have not taking part in major running lately. Has anyone else had this and should I be concerned?
Help would be much appreciated as back injuries seem to be frequently present in the family. Please excuse any spelling/grammer mistakes, as english is obviously not my first language.
Woke up this morning, I still have the numbness but I cannot tell whether it is less or worse. Ill be optimistic and say its better.
Unrelated, I've been working with wood and today while chiselling some and probably inhaling some of the small pieces in the air. I began coughing while recieving a pain in the "kidney area". Not sure whether this is normal, thought of asking here before googling it.
I am not a very healthy person.
Anyone here ever experience mono before?
Could you describe what the symtoms were like?

I felt tired, really achy, throat hurt like hell, dry cough. Felt like shit really, and I was running a fever and all my glands were up.
Although, it's not too different from flu/really bad cold symptoms.
Well I went to the doc, eye is infected, not going to wear contacts again
So I'm in the bathroom brushing my teeth and stuff, when I think I see an eyelash just hanging out on my eye. So I pull the skin below my eye, and I see this fucking blood blister-like thing just sittin there.

That's the best image I could get. It doesn't hurt or anything, what should I do?
Looks like cancer
Gonna need to amputate your eyelids.

if you can't be bothered to go to a doctor then i don't see what use any advice in here will be, since it'll most likely be "go and see a doctor"
also just because it feels like it's skipping beats doesn't necessarily mean that it is, you can only really tell if they are if you're plugged up to one of those monitors. but it still doesn't sound like normal heart behaviour and really, you should go and see a doctor to get it checked out.
Since it seems like we have pretty good medical minds here, I want to ask a question. At random times during the day, it feels like my heart beats in an irregular way or something and I lose my breath for a few seconds. It can vary in severity from a little loss of breath to me getting pretty close to gasping for air. It isn't really severe now and it's probably nothing, but I'd rather address a possible issue and figure out it's nothing than have it possibly turn into something really bad.
So what's your diagnosis Dr. Facepunch?
sounds like palpitations
you should go and see a doctor
sounds like palpitations

Huh, I thought I was just being a hypochondriac again, but that actually sounds pretty serious.
I'll go get myself checked out soon, thanks a bunch!
Monitor your pulse, it's not being a hypochondriac if you're legit palpating.
Monitor your pulse, it's not being a hypochondriac if you're legit palpating.
How do I monitor it efficiently? It usually only happens once or twice a day and I can't really judge when it begins to happen.
to be honest trying to monitor it yourself a) isn't really feasible b) going to tell you anything you didn't already know. putting your fingers on your carotid artery is the usual place where it's easiest to feel your pulse, and by counting beats in 10-15 seconds and multiplying accordingly (to make it a minute) you can find your average pulse, but that doesn't really help much.
if you're aware that your heart is beating faster then it probably is, and that's about the only thing you would be able to measure. you can't really measure abnormalities in the pulse (strange rhythms etc.) without medical equipment.
so actually my advice would be on the contrary, if you think that you're already being a slight hypochondriac then constantly checking your pulse isn't going to help anything. in fact it may well raise anxiety and affect your heart even more. so go and see a doctor and see what they say, there's little else you can do apart from sit and home and worry - so don't! try not to think about it and just get on with your daily routine as normal

also palpating is what you do to a body part to examine it by touch.
whereas palpitations are normally described as an awareness of one's own heartbeat being different to usual, whether that be increased pulse, strange beating rhythms or other stuff.
palpating =/= palpitations.

I realised that after, but was too lazy to change it.
Palpating is one of my rapid-trauma assessment steps as an EMT.

30x2 actually. And since his is irregular, you'd do it for a full minute.

That would be true if it were respirations, but it's impossible to control your heart rhythm. Your cardiac muscles are involuntary.

i can't even work out how that relates to what you quoted me saying... but okay
bottom line is, this guy should go see a doctor and get checked out

What's concerning is you're having a hard time breathing accompanied with palpitations.
Which could be a lot of things, cardiac related to even a general anxiety attack.
You want to find out if it could be something like a panic attack, to something more serious cardiac related. If you go to a shrink often, mention it to them, and see if they think it could be psychological or if you should go get a check up with a cardiologist.
My question is, do you suffer from anxiety? And are you doing anything specific?

Well, some people told me I'm a bit anxious, but I have nothing on the record. As far as I know, I'm completely clean psychologically and medically (although one might say otherwise based on some of the more angsty posts I've made in the Depression thread, but I don't think the two are related in any way). Ironically, though, I'm actually starting to go to a shrink starting next week for things unrelated, so I might ask him or her. However, I actually told someone I know who's an M.D. and he said it was most likely just a premature atrial contraction and I shouldn't be too worried unless it gets more frequent, so I'm fairly certain it's probably nothing.
I don't know what you mean by "doing anything specific," though.

There you go, riddle solved. If it continues go to a cardiologist, if they find nothing there, talk to your psychologist. That's only if it continues.
Thank you all for helping me out, though, I really do appreciate it.
This is super legit, whenever i listen to Gorillaz, my right nipple starts to twitch inside and really hurt.
No joke, it's only Gorillaz, they are my favourite group and listening to the music hurts me.
Oh god what do, it's been happening for years.
After eating chocolate, exercising makes me have stomachaches, but only for chocolate.
What's happening?
Well, I might as well ask; do any of you guys have any tips to provide to someone who suffers from Seborrhea? I have tried several things over the years (over the counter things, medically prescribed ointments, etc.), and nothing seems to work. It has even come to the point where my condition is thinning my hair, which at this point may or may not be permanent. I would appreciate any advice, especially from someone who may have this condition as well.
I had a heart attack
The inside of my lower left eyelid is swollen and hurts a bit.

Could possible be a Stye, does it have a burning sensation?

When you put bad shit into your body this usually happens.
Could possible be a Stye, does it have a burning sensation?
It's more of a regular uncomfortable hurt.
