after 3 years of seeing my cardiologist i got officially discharged on saturday :D
so i still have a tachycardia, but they've found nothing structurally, electrically or otherwise that would be causing it so he said it might just be the way i am, these sorts of problems apparently aren't that uncommon in young women
hurrah!

Hurrah! And it's good to have you back. You left the thread, suddenly it was abandoned and quiet.
What the shit, i hopped in the shower an hour ago, as soon as i got out, i puked all over the floor, without warning.
Huh. Well, assuming that the shower and the puking are related, I would say inner ear issue.
I have a question. Do cellphones really give you brain cancer? I've been seeing some reports lately and wasn't really concerned about it because it seemed to apply mostly to people who talk 24/7 on their phones. Since I am forever alone the times I call anybody lasts barely 20 seconds or so, and the rest is either it resting next to me in my desk or in my hand. Then I started to get worried because I sleep with my phone under my pillow every single day, and I was wondering if that could count as putting it right in my ear.
My phone measures 0.174 SAR-something-or-other levels on the hand and 0.700-ish on the ear if that matters. I've read that you should really worry is if your phone passes 1.6, like with the iPhone 3GS and a lot of Blackberries, but I don't know what to trust now. Can anybody just enlighten me and tell me if this is all media boohickey or is it actually true?

(In short, no. They don't. Also some explanation as to why sometimes studies show they do.)
Hey guys. I have had some continuous chest pain for the last couple days. Also, it seems like my lung capacity dropped down lately, just walking up and down the stairs or to the store makes me feel out of breath. Not panting, but just really short like I was jogging for a few minutes.
Online shit was saying lung cancer or heart attack, but I seriously doubt it's lung cancer because I haven't noticed any blood in my cough, nor have I been coughing any more than normal. It's also fairly rare, and I'm still young, cancer usually hits older people.
Anyways, any common ailments and treatments I can try for? I can't really afford a doctor's appointment plus an X-Ray or CT, so I will only go through with it if nothing else works.

In short, doctor, there's no treatments if it persists and it could prove dangerous in the long run.
In more detail, it could be anything from stress to Arrhythmia. No one can know until you get extensive review.

Although you can try pursed lip breathing, it's a treatment for people with COPD. Works for when you have trouble breathing. http://www.clevelandclinic.org/health/health-info/docs/2400/2408.asp

If it continues until Thursday I'll make an appointment to a doctor. It might just fix itself.
umm..
the last few days i haven't been able to fall asleep or sleep more than 3 hours, i've never had this sort of issue and have always been able to stay asleep. it just started maybe three days ago, i managed to fall asleep for the first time in three days last night when i had a migraine and woke up 3 hours later unable to fall back to sleep. does anyone have any idea what would cause this or recommendations for a solution?
thanks, sorry for potential incoherence

Garden variety insomnia. There's a million and a half things to do to better your sleeping habits. My advice is to do some research around.
If that doesn't work, you could just be stressed, which would make sense with your migraines. Or even just getting a small sickness. Now if it persists, you need to see a doctor who will make an assessment, if that falls through, you'll be monitored for sleep apnoea and sleep patterns.
The trick to non-acute issues is monitoring. There's nothing I can suggest other than try to counteract it and monitor it. If it persists, let the doctor hook you up.

If the pain persists, wait until Thursday.
Now speaking as an EMT, if the pain worsens, or you have a very hard time breathing, more so than usual. Get to an emergency room immediately.
But make sure if it doesn't go away by Thursday, get to a doctor.
It can be anything, a lot of it harmful.
Guys, my dogs asscheeks just grew about two inches, what do I do?

Would be nice to know what with.

I'm not sure, that's why I'm asking the medical thread. I'm not a doctor.

Oh wait, you mean symptoms. Mostly It's just been sneezing, with bouts of coughing for a few days at time, but sometime last week it hurt even to breath and I broke into a coughing fit from the smallest exertion, but that only lasted a day.
So, some people in my class are coughing really bad at this point, and I just woke up with a really sore throat. I hope it's not some kind of deadly infection.

you have aids, sorry
the only cure for this is to go to Uganda and rape a newborn baby.
But then I'll get African aids.

Go to the doctor. There really is no way to figure out the issue unless a doctor examines you and determines the problem.

People have been telling me to see a doctor for 5 week, but I don't feel like sitting in a doctors office for an hour or more to have him tell me I need to take some medicine and get some rest. I already have medicine, though I only take it until I feel better and after I quit it comes back.

Also, three of them have been coughing for over two weeks, in a horrible way. Not just the normal formal cough, but the almost disturbing cough that leaves them out of breath, completely red and gasping for air afterwards.

You're refusing to see a doctor because of laziness, especially after 5 weeks of having a respiratory sickness? Like, how dumb do you have to be to think that makes sense.
Well if you refuse to go to your doctor, then you can have fun deteriorating your health. If you want tips on how to slowly destroy your immune system, may I advise drinking draino, that'll burn right through it. Because honestly, there is no good in ignoring a sickness. At the best, you'll keep taking your medicine and it'll go away by itself. At the BEST case scenario. But more than a month of straight illness can lead to pneumonia, and you can die.
I really hope you aren't taking codine. Because if you are, you're just quickening your biological suicide.

Here is a check list to see if it is Bronchitis:
- Dry cough
- Phlegm production
- Is the chest sore from coughing?
- Are they wheezing?
- Are all three of them Asthmatic?
If most of these are yes, then it's definitely acute Bronchitis. If they have most of those and it happens a lot over a long period of time, they should have seen a doctor already as it is chronic Bronchitis.

turns out he had infected anal glands
i learned this because they randomly popped when he was running at me, littering the floor with a strange brown mixture. how lovely
i started getting panic attacks about a month or two ago ..
I know pain in the chest is normal, but when I try to take deep breaths, the left side of my chest, under my nipple and in my tummy/under my ribcage gets a sharp pain. Is this normal too? Think I'm going to see a doctor soon, is it likely they would prescribe Clonazepam to a 16 year old?
Also for the past week, randomly the bottom of my right nut has a sharp pain. Usually around night time. Gonna give it another week before I start freaking out and thinking I have testicle cancer.
If you're getting both of those, then see a doctor. Like now, for both of them. Both are really unhealthy. Both can kill you.
I have anxiety attacks every-now-and-then, and it hurts like a motherfucker. My body just completely shuts down and I sometimes can no longer walk or speak. I'm now on a moderate dosage of Zoloft.

Doctor, nothing you can do if you're having both. And it's all internal, they'll need to run tests as it can be a range of reasons.
Also check to see if your ribcage is even. Have you had an accident recently or trauma to your chest?

Is it just there or does it spread? Is there pain in your lower abdomen during that sharp pain?

Coughing got worse. By voice went a bit deeper though, but coughing feels like it burns. Also, I am really tired, even though I've only been awake for 10 hours.
Yesterday I didn't go to school because of a headache combined with the coughing, which I also had today, though I didn't take off today. Slept till 1PM, but I was still really tired around 6 PM.
[editline]20th April 2012[/editline]
Also, I have been shivering a lot.
I got bitten by a cat yesterday, broke the skin. Today the damaged area is inflamed and very sore. It's on my hand, and writing is difficult. Is this an infection? the cat is mine, but spends all day outside and fights other cats.
