ignore what your parents think and take care of yourself
stop making excuses
Doesn't help that my parents think i'm being a pussy by wanting medical tests. I need these and i get shit on by my dad for wanting to not die.
if your dad doesn't care whether you die or not you probably shouldn't be listening to him and just go
seemed to have summed up all of my weird symptoms ive been having lately
Related symptoms
In addition to visual snow, many sufferers have other types of visual disturbances such as starbursts, increased afterimages, floaters, trails, and many others.[3]
Non-visual symptoms such as tinnitus, depersonalization-derealization, fatigue, speech difficulties and cognitive dysfunction (brain fog) are frequently encountered.[citation needed] Secondary psychiatric sequelae such as anxiety, panic attacks or depression may develop and necessitate appropriate treatment.
Over the past few months I've started developing visual snow, tinnitus, panic attacks and this weird fatigue, foggy brain feeling. According to wikipedia these are all related, but there isn't much research or information on it (that i could find). If I go to my doctor I'm quite sure they're going to put me through more bullshit.
Anyone have similar symptoms or any info that could help me out?
if youre sure the mental symptoms are related, it could be millions of different things and there's no way top really tell without a going to a doctor (also it sounds pretty mild)
but you could always get your eyes checked pretty quickly to see if the vision things mean anything

I have some visual snow and stuff, probably. Pretty much anywhere I can see with a more or less uniform color, I also see colorful noise and a bit of motion. Also I have some tinnitus etc. so I can understand where you're coming from. I haven't looked into it with my doctors, but if it means anything I have ADHD.
I have a medical condition that has completely altered/ruined my life and is untreatable. The symptoms seem to fluctuate between really severe and almost non-existent. I think my diet has something to do with it but I cannot figure out what foods make it worse or better.
Also, I have an extreme dehydration problem which worsens my symptoms of the above but also gives me other symptoms. For some reason I find water to be disgusting regardless of temperature or how filtered/pure it is.

I get the same thing occasionally. It is most likely asthma or psycological/stress related. It's actually amazing how much "phyiscal" pain can be caused by stress or psycological problems.
I may have gotten a minor concussion yesterday in a gokart crash. I tangled with another driver, he went off and into the barriers, and I was left sideways in the middle of the track. This was just after a blind corner, so another driver hit me at almost full speed in the side. I didn't black out or anything, and i can remember it just fine. My head didn't hit anything either.
I was completely unhurt, apart from a slight pain in the left side of my head (the side i was hit from). The pain was minor, and didn't come before 5-10 minutes later. I felt fine this morning, and I've had no real problems today apart from an occasional headache (not quite like a normal headache) lasting for a minute or so.
My head didn't actually hit anything during the crash, so it's very minor if it's anything at all. I was questioned by medical staff at the track and filled out a form. They said I might have a minor concussion if i get any symptoms like headaches, dizzyness or nausea.
What do you guys think i should do? I hear you're not supposed to watch TV and so on with a concussion, but how important is this, and how long should i be doing it for?
EDIT: I phoned the local hospital just now, and they said it's probably very little, since i have no symptoms like nausea and vomiting. They gave me the thumbs up to watch TV/use computer as long as it isn't making things worse.
I'm pretty sure I have vitiligo. That's just great.
have you seen a dermatologist?
Can someone confirm if what I'm having are just little panic attacks?
Sometimes when I'm talking to someone and something embarrassing happens, or I lied. I get a really sharp stabbing pain EVERYWHERE on my upper body, its only been happening in the last couple of months. Also, sometimes when I go somewhere public, no matter if I want to or not I'll often end up becoming very sick and vomiting. Then when I get home I'll be fine.
It happened when I went to Comic-Con but we went there anyway and I was fine for the rest of the day.
On an unrelated issue.
Sometimes I'll just get random chest pains in the area that my heart is located in. Often if I sort of ajust my torso it'll go away. Can someone help?
Seems like anxiety.

Getting right on it.

I wish I could slap you through the internet.
Okay, that wasn't very nice, let's try this again.
I've dealt with people like you before. Clearly you could get this checked out if you wanted to, but you don't want to. You want us to tell you it's fine or else magically diagnose you so that you can pop some pills or whatever and forget about it. Thing is, however nice that would be, that isn't how it works, at least not in this case. Stop making excuses and go see a doctor. Do it soon, before you have the chance to procrastinate again, and then it'll be done with. I don't care if your dad doesn't like it or if you have to take care of your cat or some shit. Just make some time, hop on a bus, and get yourself checked out.

those do sound like panic attacks, but with any chest pains you should definitely get it looked at by a cardiologist first
Anything I can do about cooking burns on my hand. They left an ugly line on it.

Cold water and time.
[editline]23rd May 2012[/editline]
Or burn ointment.
I've had em for about a month now. Left a scar.

Depends on the scar. If it's deep, you'll need epidermal surgery. If it's just a mark, leave it.

Pretty sure I was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat as a child, so that would most likely be it. It happens when I overwork my self or do lots of sports, so yeah.
My fingers and toes have a deep nailbed, which often means that they will become ingrown and infected incredibly easily. I take preventative measures by keeping them a certain length, but sometimes when I do trim them I go too far and cut them short. When they do become ingrown and infected, I soak them regularly with hot salty water. This does get rid of the infection, but it is a very lengthy and inconvenient process. Is there something else I can do to stop the infection faster?

other than antibiotics?

all the more reason you should go and see a doctor/cardiologist. hearts are pretty important!
other than antibiotics?
Yeah. The only time I've needed antibiotics for it was when one of my toes got really out of hand, it needed a cream to be rubbed on it, too.
Anyone else sleep on their arms and freak out when they wake up because it feels like they're not there anymore? I do roll around a lot when I sleep, but it seems completely random. Almost feels like I'm getting a heart-attack.
I have this thing on my knee where a bit of bone broke off and grew back weirdly, does anyone know how to stop it hurting when i tap it ever so slightly
stop tapping it?

As i said, it's not my call to make. I can't up and leave for a free clinic 120 miles away without permission, i've already asked and they said to stop being a baby and that there's nothing wrong with me. Honestly, everyone in my family is like that. When i was seriously wounded by my ATV last year, i called my dad and he didn't believe me until i sent him a god damn picture of the 5 inch cut on my calf muscle. And while i was at home recovering, i was called a baby while i was sitting there with a case of sepsis and was having convulsions and was in extreme pain. It took 3 days of me being in agony before they realized that something is wrong, when my mom took my temperature. See? not my fucking call to make, i don't have that much control over my life.
EDIT: Anyways, i did a self-exam and i came up seemingly clean, so i'm going to regularly check and if i see something new, i'll go straight to the clinic.

Is your family related to Charles Manson by chance? It sounds like you have to worst parents ever(if you're telling us the truth). How old are you by the way? If you're still young, maybe you should call child services or something and get some foster parents, since the ones you got now seem like the biggest redneck shitbags ever.

I'm going to be 17 in late august, and it's not worth trying to get put in a foster home, considering i'm really close to graduation, 2 years and then i'm going to college, and then i'm moving far away from here, the town i live in is known for it's assholes.
Although, it wasn't as bad as it sounded when i said they were calling me a baby, they were adamant that i was being a little bitch until they realized the gravity of the situation, and were deeply concerned, considering that immediately after my dad realized that my leg wound was serious, he drove me to the hospital, and he did the same when he realized that i was in worse condition than he thought with my infection.
stop tapping it?
i have never intentionally tapped it it has always been tapped or kicked by someone else or hit by something
to be fair, most things tend to hurt when they get kicked or hit... i'm not quite sure what answer you were expecting
