to be fair, most things tend to hurt when they get kicked or hit... i'm not quite sure what answer you were expecting
no it hurts more than it should, i dont know what the condition is called but it really hurts, it sometimes even hurts when i simply move it
I've got this weird cyst thing on the back of my neck, it was about the size of a grape, but then I started poking at it in the mirror and it started leaking white oily stuff, now it's about M&M sized and has stopped leaking. What is this thing? It's attached to the skin and not under it though, so I think that means it's not particularly dangerous or something?

It's not a spot, and I'm pretty sure it's not a boil because those are supposed to hurt like a bitch, this just feels like a lump. [editline]30th May 2012[/editline] I'm pretty sure it's not pus coming out of it either, it feels and smells sort of like greasy hair.
i'd definitely go see a doctor then...
Not sure if this belongs here, but lately the bottom part of my thumb joint has been hurting. There's only some pain if i try to extend it far but it's only in my left thumb, the right thumb is just fine. Sometimes pulling on it i'll feel a sharp pain near the joint and the aching will go away in some places.
I have a lump on the back of my left wrist that's been there for years. I'm thinking it's a cyst, because it pops when i move it.(my wrist, i mean)
is there swelling or discoloration? any sort of differences you can see?
Not really no, i'm not sure if it's angle or whatever but the bone/joint is slightly out more than my right thumb.
well if it hasn't been a very long time you could probably just wait and see what happens unless its really bothering you unless its already been a while, then maybe you should get it looked at it doesn't sound like much though
Guys, i've just been electrocuted and i'm shaking like anything. I was working on a monitor power supply and i accidentally touched a heatsink for a VRM and now io can't stiop shaking, i don't feel any different than normal, just shaken. Will i die? [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] Looking at the traces on the PCB, the part i touched is after the step down transformer.
As i said, it's not my call to make. I can't up and leave for a free clinic 120 miles away without permission, i've already asked and they said to stop being a baby and that there's nothing wrong with me. Honestly, everyone in my family is like that. When i was seriously wounded by my ATV last year, i called my dad and he didn't believe me until i sent him a god damn picture of the 5 inch cut on my calf muscle. And while i was at home recovering, i was called a baby while i was sitting there with a case of sepsis and was having convulsions and was in extreme pain. It took 3 days of me being in agony before they realized that something is wrong, when my mom took my temperature. See? not my fucking call to make, i don't have that much control over my life. EDIT: Anyways, i did a self-exam and i came up seemingly clean, so i'm going to regularly check and if i see something new, i'll go straight to the clinic.
I really doubt that your parents would object to you finding your own way to the clinic to check out a legitimate concern, but alright, I'll admit I don't know everything. Maybe you really do live in an Orwellian household. In any case, that last line is promising, make sure you follow through if you need to. If you do have a serious burn, you should see a doctor.
So I got home from work just now and started hearing a noise in my left ear, whenever I make sudden movements or shake my head vigorously I hear what I can only describe as "wet rubber gloves rubbing against each other"/"a full balloon being rubbed/squeezed". I also feel a slight pressure in that ear as well. There isn't anything in my ear as far as I can tell either.
Can you have a canker sore on the inside of your eyelid cause I swear I do. It hurts like a bitch every time i touch that area or blink...
Can you have a canker sore on the inside of your eyelid cause I swear I do. I've got a little lump under my left lower eyelid as well, doesn't hurt at all though and it's been going down over the past few days so it doesn't sound the same as what you have, Lilyo.
I get headaches every weekend, sometimes they last an afternoon, sometimes the entire day. What could this be other then a fever?
I get headaches every weekend, sometimes they last an afternoon, sometimes the entire day. What could this be other then a fever?
Sounds stress related.
I get headaches every weekend, sometimes they last an afternoon, sometimes the entire day. What could this be other then a fever?
headache =/= fever i used to have a similar problem, when i was 14 - 15 i used to get bad headaches most days, not migraine but it stopped me going to school at times. in the end after having eye tests, doctor consultations and the likes i was recommended to go and see an osteopath. now when i'd done a little bit of research on osteopathy (the definition reads: A branch of medical practice that emphasizes the treatment of medical disorders through the manipulation and massage of the bones, joints, and muscles) it does seem to be quite... i can't think of the word, but basically it's not seen as a proper medical way to fix things, and the people who do it don't have regular medical degrees (feel free to jump in and correct me here, this is just roughly what i remember), and it's seen as an 'alternative medicine' way of doing things. so i was, to say the least, a little sceptical about the whole thing. for the first couple of sessions (it's basically a very gentle massage, concentrating on your skull and spine) i felt no difference at all, but after the 5th or so the headaches became less frequent and less intense, and after 12 or so sessions it was completely gone, and i've not suffered from it since. the doctor person says what happens sometimes is your skull doesn't expand quite as much as it's supposed to, and so when your brain grows it's basically pushing against your skull and that's what is causing the pain. the sessions were basically a half hour of a very gentle massage concentrating on the skull and spine, but i always felt good after it (although, after a relaxing massage in the middle of the school day, who wouldn't!) and in the end it really did sort me out, and i've heard from other people sharing similar (headache) stories that after seeing lots of different people, an osteopath was the one who sorted it out. so it may well be worth a shot for you, if you don't find anything else that can fix it! tl;dr? osteopathy: might be seen as 'alternative medicine' and sorta bullshit, but it worked for me! so if all else fails it's worth a shot
headache =/= fever -Text I won't quote, because it will pagestrecht- tl;dr? osteopathy: might be seen as 'alternative medicine' and sorta bullshit, but it worked for me! so if all else fails it's worth a shot
Thanks, if it doesn't stop Ill talk to my parents about it.
Sounds stress related.
I hardly have any stress, unless I suffer from it without knowing it.
Does it seem like you have something like what this guy has? http://www.techzonez.com/forums/showthread.php/20564-Chalazion-(Lump-in-Eyelid)
Yeah I guess that's it, though my eyelid isn't swollen or anything. I doesn't really hurt that much anymore, hopefully it just goes away.
So I just noticed a wierd lump on my left inner thigh, just next to my balls. It feels like a giant ingrown zit, just under the skin. It's not sore and pressing on it doesn't hurt. I would guess its about 2 cm in diameter. Now I know better than to go OMG CANCER but I'm gonna ask my parents to make me an appointment at a doctor if its not gone by the time I wake up tomorrow. I just went to bed so I'll read any replies about what it could be in the morning. Let's hope its just a harmless cyst or swelling of some kind.
if it was on your balls i would be seriously concerned about cancer, but since its on your thighs i wouldnt worry doesnt hurt to check it out though
Well wasn't this a lot of worry for nothing. I checked it out now when I woke up and it's a lot smaller than I thought and looks like a giant zit. This is probably just an ingrown hair.
snip its just sunburn.
I just discovered three blood stains (Quite dried out now) on my pillow. I have no actual bites on my face or on my scalp (I'm pretty much bald after my haircut last week) so how concerned should I be? What needs to be amputated?
I stubbed my toe earlier and now I can't find it. Should I go to a doctor?
