Facepunch Medical Thread V1 (I don't need a doctor it's not that bad)

My eyes have been runny for like a couple of years. Sometimes it's one eye, both or neither and there's no pattern to it. When it's bad, I get a tear worth of water build up in each eye several times in a minute, other times I don't notice it for a week or so. Also something to add - a slight draft can make it worse as well. My right bottom eyelid is puffy and hurts right now because I was dabbing it so much yesterday. What do dr. Facepunch?

Allergies?
[QUOTE=Eonart;37088387]So the pain is gone before I could even get to see a doctor.
Should I still be concerned?[/QUOTE]
Not really, temporary pain can happen all across your body, because you pinched a nerve or stretched a muscle, as long as it dissappears fast and the pain is within reasonable limits you have nothing to worry about. It's bad when your arm does weird pain tho, because that often means heart attack.

You should take an allergy test, sounds like pollen or dust allergy.
there's red stuff in my phlegm and i dont know if it's blood or bits of the pizza i just ate oh shit i'm scared help
Well look at it if it's dark red its probably blood or bad pizza sauce.
Been having some stomach trouble lately. My stomach feels bloated and uneasy(feels like I'm gonna throw up sometimes) and I have problems pooping(I've checked my stool and everything seems normal there).
After reading some articles on the net, I can't find out what's wrong with me..
Edit: after reading some more, this seems the closest: [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irritable_bowel_syndrome[/url]
So for about a week I get nauseous after I eat anything. I also seem to have slight diarrhea. It started out if I only ate something in the morning, and got worse. Now not only do I get sick after I eat anything (Or drink anything other than water), I just woke up feeling nauseous without even intaking anything. Any ideas?
edit: Could anxiety cause it?

Rub your face in the grass and see if it worsens. If your eyes turn red and itchy, go get some allergy meds.
Yes.

Yeah, sounds like IBS, go to the doctor and he will give you some mint pill things, they help a lot
i had this problem in my legs for a long time, don't really see the need to go to a doctor though because it isn't that problematic.
basically what happens is if i sit down awkwardly sometimes, my leg will snap out to the side and then a loud and painful click will happen at the side of my knee once i kick my leg forward. it happens in both my legs, and the pain depends on how long i leave my leg snapped out to the side. it's really really hard to explain but it just hurts a lot.
oh and it also happens if i'm kneeling down sometimes, if i lean to far left/right it also causes it to snap out of place.
pic of where the leg snapping goodness happens:

On my torso I had this "pimple." Beneath the skin it feels like there is something hard, but between the pimple and the hard thing there is normal skin. When I first discovered the hard thing, when I brushed my fingers against it it literally fucking squelched. What the fuck is it?

I've had these before. They're perfectly fine. It'll be a few weeks before it goes away.
I have these bumps around my nips, they are kind of white when I stretch out the skin, isn't that shit for pregnant women?
you can still have them without being a pregnant woman! it's perfectly normal
[sub][sub]i've always had little ones[/sub][/sub]
I'm taking a first aid course soon, so I can join St Andrew's Ambulance, which is basically the Scottish version of St John's.
Anyway - recently I have hard stabbing-ish pains in my left wrist and elbow, and also the arm it'self. Now, I often break this arm a whole hell of a lot, about three times a year and no, I'm not exaggerating there. The pain sometimes happens randomly, sometimes when I'm actively doing something. I think I may have some weak form of CRPS, but I'm just wondering what Facepunch thinks before I go to see a doctor.
Wow, are your bones made of bread sticks or something?
It's something to do with them not being dense at all. I also have dyspraxia so I trip over myself quite a lot, and being left handed, use my left arm to try and save myself.
I think my body hates me.
So on my tailbone it feels like it's bruised and there seems to be a lump, it's JUST at the top of the crack, should I be concerned?

Probably not, I'd say a cyst or a swelling bruise beneath the skin. What does it look like, and was there any trauma that could have caused it or made it more noticeable?
I don't think so, and I didn't see any very noticeable marks or anything. I'll check again after work.
I've been getting some serious hives every damn morning for about a month now, I have no idea what is causing it or how to stop it. This really is fucking with my sleep.

With that sorta condition becoming a paramedic shouldn't be possible, simply for the fact that you'd basically be bound to hurt yourself all the time.
Also, first aid courses usually don't count as any qualification for paramedic services, because they shouldn't.
It's a volunteer first aid service, we're /not/ paramedics, but first-aiders. I can see why there might be confusion though, since it is called Saint Andrew's "Ambulance" Basically all we do is CPR and such and I have been given the all-clear.
How would a First Aid service work?LMAO WE DRIVE LIKE MANIACS SO WE CAN DO CPR A FEW SECONDS EARLIER XDDD!!!!
Basically we attend events like music festivals, horse riding and other things. If someone's not too badly hurt they get treated and go on their way, if they are badly hurt we do our best to stabilize them and wait for the actual Scottish Ambulance Service to arrive
SEK iirc you're not british? i don't know if you have them in your country, but i know the role Mr Kotov is talking about, i think we call them First Aiders though. they're not paramedics, but they have more training than just your average person who's done a first aid course, and they're kept on hand for events like he said. like the name suggests, they are the First Aid, and if it's a little more serious then the ambulance/paramedics will be alerted.
Firerain is/was one!
but to be fair Mr Kotov if someone says they're going to join the ambulance service they tend to mean being a fully trained paramedic
Well that's weird, over here we use fully trained medics for big events and if someone hosts a "middle size" event they have to have at least 1 per 500 people who is licensed for first aid.
[editline]9th August 2012[/editline]
But there's not service doing that for free, seems silly to me.
why is it weird? it means that people are there to help if someone injures themselves. i don't see how that's at all weird, in fact i think it's a much better option than not having them there.

Yeah, I know what you mean, it's just the organization has had that name for ages. It's sometimes called St Andrew's First Aid instead of St Andrew's Ambulance as well. It can cause confusion, though.
