Highly doubt it's a cluster headache, from what I've heard they are debilitating enough that you wouldn't even consider going on a computer, not to mention that they affect one in a thousand or fewer. He's more likely to have a migraine, as he said. Take painkillers (you can take both ibuprofen and paracetamol at the same time, they operate on different mechanisms and are safe to take in combination) and go lie down in your bedroom with the lights off and curtains closed. There are painkillers designed for migraines, but if it's your first one, you'd likely not have any, not to mention that they generally cost a lot more than paracetamol and ibuprofen. After 21 hours, I'm probably a bit late, though :v:
Yes, very very late. I took ibuprofen before posting on here :v: Anyway, went to bed and felt like I was going to throw up. Thankfully I didn't [editline]2nd September 2012[/editline]
Could be a cluster headache.
Just Googled it, and what I had was hardly "The worst pain that can be experienced", nor was it to one side of my head
i hardly feel hungry why
Hey everyone, my left eye started to hurt. I think it's because Of 2factors. In a day I am 8-9 hours on the computer, and there is a powerful desk lamp i have. Although i engaged it on the wall, it stills reflect like 90%of it.(you know, the wall is white). Today i will chane lamp touch lower W. but i dont know what i should do with my eye.
i hardly feel hungry why
I feel ya. It's been 4 days since I last ate and I'm barely even hungry. I have an extreme case of major tonsillitis so I can't get anything down my throat except water and liquid antibiotics. Fun times.

Surprisingly i never get eye strain. I get headaches instead.
Lately I've been noticing blood on my toilet paper whenever I wipe my ass. It wasn't too much and it happens pretty infrequently so I haven't been worrying about it. However today there was quite a lot of blood on my toilet paper as well as blood in the toilet water. Should I see a doctor? We don't have health insurance and my grandpa got liver cancer so my parents are really short on cash.
red blood - likely haemorrhoid, anal fissure or other injury to the very end of your digestive tract. should resolve itself (as it seems to have been doing), and generally nothing too much to worry about, despite the presence of blood normally being a bit worrying black blood - not good, see a doctor
Pretty sure it was red. thanks
I don't know if this is the right thread but my girlfriend has been experiencing nausea, bleeding of the vagina and vomited once about 3 weeks into taking birth control. I've read that this could be normal for just starting the pill but i just wanna make sure that there is nothing wrong. Should she see a doctor maybe?
nausea is to be expected, and vomiting possibly... but if it's full bleeding and not just spotting, and not when she's meant to be menstruating then i'm not sure that's normal. if you're worried i'd recommend going to see a doctor. also she remembers that if you vomit within a few hours of taking it the contraceptive properties are nulled, so you'll need to use additional protection for the following 7 days. one tip for her to try though, if she isn't already, start taking the pill at night, shortly before going to bed. so long as you take it at roughly the same time every day it doesn't affect it, and i always found it helped to take it at night as you sleep through the worst of the nausea/mood swings that you get if you take it in the day.
Pretty sure it was red. thanks
You'd know if it wasn't red. Digested blood looks like coffee grounds.
Warning: Spoiler deals with dicks. [sp]Thrush infection on dick. Will Monistat and Diflucan clear it up?[/sp]
Ask your pharmacy for Clotrimazole, you don't need a prescription and only cost me £3.50 (but you need to ask for it because it's behind the counter) I have it and that's what the doctor prescribed me after examining my dick. I've been using it for about 4 days not and I'm now seeing any improvement, the doctor told me to go back after a week if it hadn't improved so I have 3 more days. Does anyone know what the next line of treatment is?
I think I just got a migraine headache. Never had a headache like this before, and it seems to be hurting my ears when I listen to sounds for longer than a second or two... I think this is a migraine anyway
Migraines are when the blood vessels in your head shrink. It's usually behind your eyes or near your forehead, but can be anywhere. Just try to take a nap and stay away from lights and sounds if this happens again. It could be stress induced, like everything, so take it easy if you think that's why! Otherwise some people like to lay down with an ice pack on their head to make it go away. My mom gets these so badly and frequently she has medication for them. [editline]4th September 2012[/editline]
so i fell on my longboard and got a few road rashes. a couple on my right knee a couple on my right elbow and a real bad one on my left palm The one on my left is what im worried about. I put hydrogen peroxide on all them, but when i fell, my skin peeled back when i hit the ground but it is still attached. should i cut the extra skin off or leave it?
I would recommend NOT cutting dead skin (you probably have already though). The dead skin can act as a natural bandaid in a sense but keeping another layer over the wound. It won't affect the healing process but like it has been said, make sure to clean this out VERY well. You do not want an infection in such a large area. Iodine antiseptic and bandages. Make sure to clean it again once a day until it begins to regrow skin on the surface. Once this happens I'd recommend cutting the skin but until it has closed itself the skin can act as another protective layer. [editline]4th September 2012[/editline]
I walk barefoot everywhere because yolo I've gotten really bad infections on my feet last year and this year my left foot has two..what used to be blisters. The one is a big cut and dirt gets in it a lot. Wearing shoes isn't an option help
Enjoy infections and blisters and warts and worms. Wear shoes. You're probably going to need an operation to remove whatever's going on already.
The dead skin can act as a natural bandaid in a sense but keeping another layer over the wound. I've not heard of that. Perhaps it's better to cut it off, I've not experienced this puss sensation but if that's the case clip that mess off with fingernail clippers.
So Facepunch MD, what's the best way to heal/restore skin damage on one's foot? I've spent the better part of 7 months with a strange rash/blister thing going on with my foot, and my doctor realized that it was being caused by pressure points in my shoe causing skin irritation. Because of this, I have no more blisters, but my foot looks like it has been through 2nd degree burns, induced by the constant irritation and blistering before hand. Is there some sort of skin rejuvenating lotion I can use, or some secret Chinese secret for quicker healing; or do I just have to sit around and wait for nature to do its' thing?
for no discernible reason, my shits require intense cleanup i know it probably sounds kind of dumb, but theres plenty of anxiety that comes with it
Is there some sort of skin rejuvenating lotion I can use, or some secret Chinese secret for quicker healing; or do I just have to sit around and wait for nature to do its' thing?
i'm not sure if it's right for you, but i've always found that vitamin E oil is a wonder for helping skin heal. putting it on things like scabs and cuts heals them so much faster for me, but i'm not sure about your case. if it's scarred skin, maybe try Bio-Oil? it's not a brand i've used myself, it's meant for scarred skin, and it always seems to get brilliant reviews. it is quite expensive though
for no discernible reason, my shits require intense cleanup i know it probably sounds kind of dumb, but theres plenty of anxiety that comes with it
What's your diet like? a good diet produces good shits, also try squatting too. Do you mean you have anxiety because of this or it happens when you're anxious?
God fucking damn it, my stomach always makes loud as fuck noises when I am holding in a piss, it's unbelievable, and it's not even rumbles its like its squealing and moaning it's so damn loud, I have to sit for an hour an endure horrible cramps and embarrassing noises and try to pretend I don't care
My father somehow got tapeworm and I'm scared it can spread to family members. I don't want that shit in me.
My father somehow got tapeworm and I'm scared it can spread to family members. I don't want that shit in me.
Unless your father vomits down your throat, I don't see how you could be at risk.
My father somehow got tapeworm and I'm scared it can spread to family members. I don't want that shit in me.
Chances are that you already have it. Go on,live your miserable life.
