could be conjunctivitis
I just checked, my eyes or eyelids are not excessively red (I'm pretty sure they have never been).
However, my eyes sometimes water or get irritated. This happens ~5 times a week.
Tomorrow I woke up with a very swollen gum, the one right behind my last molar
I have no fucking idea what it does but I am literally screaming at how annoying it is
as of yet it's only been annoying but closing my mouth makes me suffer a bit and I have to eat food using the left side of my mouth, which has no swollen gum.
I'm not sure what the fuck is happening but help pls

tongue it, does it taste funny?
how the fuck do you treat phimosis
im guessing imma need to go get some topical steroids or something if i want to make serious progress
my right ear has been getting worse and worse over the past few days and now i can barely hear out of it
im gonna see a doctor but does anyone have any ideas what it is anyway? im just worried is all
likely just an infection? your ear tends to produce a lot more wax when you have an ear infection, and that's probably what's preventing you from hearing anything. if they think it might be an infection they might clean out your ear there and then (so they can actually see you ear drum, if the wax has obscured it) but over here the advice tends to be: clear your ears with olive oil (which breaks down the wax so it sorta melts out of your ear) for a week and if that hasn't solved anything then come back for some antibiotics
good that you're going to see a doctor though, last time i figured it would just get better, went to a festival and was nearly in tears it was hurting so much

Either keep stretching and hope it will work, or go to your doctor and get some cream which should make it easier.
If all else fails you can get a full or partial circumcision.
Don't be afraid to go to your doctor, phimosis affects 17% of uncircumcised males and I can guarantee your doctor has seen a dick before
As of late, (late two days or so) I've been feeling so god awful that I couldn't even get out of bed to attend class.

Dark green discharge from nose
Repeated coughing. painful, hacking cough.
InfuckingTENSE headache, so bad that it woke me up during the night
Incredible fatigue, typing this is becoming a chore
Loss of focus/trouble concentrating
Fever of 99.8 (Peaked at 102.9 yesterday at about 14:00)
Help me doctor FacePunch :c
Seriously, go see a doctor.
Huzzah. Back in march I fell down the stairs and messed my foot up (thread of me trying to get help with cardio on one leg).
Well it turns out I fucked up bad and I get surgery tomorrow and they're either gonna pin two bones in it temporarily or permanently bridge them.
Just wondering if anyone has had any surgery like this on their foot? Any good methods to reducing DVT etc?

All I can say about pinning is don't skip getting them removed. (If they can be) I skipped mine by being on holiday and I regret it.
And if you get nerve damage from surgery, make sure to just regularly check your feet etc.
Best of luck anyway.
I have a BIG PAINFUL HEMORRHOID, and it's very unpleasant during poops. Also, sometimes when I walk or sit funny, it gets pinched and stings.
I had to buy Preperation H, and it was kind of embarrassing. The cashier gave me this look like, "yeah, I know you're buying butt cream. You're making me swipe your butt cream through the register, and then you're going to give me money for it. Butt cream money. And you're going to go home, and put this butt cream in your butt. And I know that. How does that make you feel?"

Could be your wisdom teeth coming in. Wisdom teeth have been known to cause tenderness, swelling, and infection. See your dentist, it might be time to get your mouth tore up, like most other people.
BDA is right about the wisdom tooth. If you're not brushing well, or brushing at all, bits of food and stuff can be getting caught underneath the gum-flap, or around that area. This'll cause the gum to become red and swollen and inflamed. Just brush the area really well (even if it means brushing the gum, it helps circulate blood and clean out any old bits of food) and perhaps floss, to increase blood circulation throughout your gums. Gums shouldn't be red, they should be a good healthy light pink, so check your gums and see what colour they are. If they're red, a good flossing is in order and you have to up your brushing.
Brushing your gum-flap for the first time will be so incredibly painful, but ignore the pain. It's good. It'll help in the long run. Endure five minutes of pain from brushing it and save yourself weeks more, or leave it and let it just get worse.
i'm not sure if it's right for you, but i've always found that vitamin E oil is a wonder for helping skin heal. putting it on things like scabs and cuts heals them so much faster for me, but i'm not sure about your case.
if it's scarred skin, maybe try Bio-Oil? it's not a brand i've used myself, it's meant for scarred skin, and it always seems to get brilliant reviews. it is quite expensive though
I can vouch for bio-oil. I had a nasty scar above my left eye (basically running horizontal through my eyebrow) and using bio-oil really helped make it less obvious. Works great for stretch marks (I have this huge, scary-looking stretch mark running diagonally down my shoulder, looks like a knife wound), I used it on said shoulder stretch mark and it really helped lessen it.
Alternatively, just get your wisdom teeth removed. I loved having mine out! I might be a bit weird, but recovering from surgery is a blast for me. Must be the painkillers. Wisdom teeth out? Two days of bed rest in the barracks, laying around watching movies. Think I played some Dragon Age, too. When I had my hernia repaired? I got a week off! I could barely move, but you don't need to move to lay in bed, chug gatorade, and watch Deadwood.
Recovering from surgery is, like, the closest thing I get to vacations!
[editline]10th September 2012[/editline]
Just find a lackey to bring you food and gatorade, and watch Netflix until you're all better.
Depends what kind of surgery you're recovering from. Whenever I get an operation to try and fix my left eyebrow, I end up with a swollen eyelid for a good 2 weeks. I look like Quasimodo. Eye is so bloated, it's grotesque. I can't leave the house, as the way people look at me makes me feel terrible. I have too much of a headache to play games or watch TV, so it's just constant bed rest for two weeks. For my past 4 operations, they didn't prescribe me any strong painkillers. Not making that mistake again, going to ask for something to make it bearable.
But I agree, sometimes recovering from surgery is awesome.
PS: Don't remove your wisdom teeth. It's generally a bad idea to just remove teeth if you don't have to. Plus, wisdom teeth do serve a function.
Why is it that if I fall asleep sitting down like at a desk or something, I get really gassy?
I'm fine if I lay down to sleep but if I nap sitting I can't stop burping and farting when I wake up.

i had one of those when i was a kid, i had some kind of infection, it was a mild hemorrhoid but it hurt a lot, thankfully there isn't hemorrhoid history in my mom's side of the family, so i was the first, hopefully i will never have one again
ok it turns out it was an infection and now i'm taking antibiotics and nasal spray, and I have to push back my appointment for remicade because you can't get that while you're on antibiotics
but the nurses were super annoying, they were convinced it was just a wax buildup so they squirted water into my ears for like 30 minutes before making me an appointment with a not-free doctor who said they were wrong and there was almost no wax, it was just an infection in my inner ear
so for around 4 months now, the corners of my lips have been red and inflamed, and they occasionally crack leaving painful cuts, which hurts if I'm trying to take a big bite. I'm pretty sure its "Angular Cheilitis". I've been using an antibacterial cream for around 1.5 months now that my doc prescribed me but it doesn't work. I think it's a fungi, or more specifically one called "Candida Albicans". Anyone ever had any experience with it? I've heard Clotrimazole kills the thing, would a tube of Canesten clear my problems?
It would be kinda embarrasing to pick up that cream because it's against vaginal yeast infections :v: (I'm a boy)

Just ask for Clotrimazole at your pharmacist, I got some that's literally called 'Clotrimazole Cream 1%' and it was a lot cheaper than a branded one like Canestan.

Also if they ask (which they won't) just say it's for your girlfriend or something

I've read that you can have the fungi on other parts on your body aswell, like the feet. Think I'll use that excuse should the awkward questions arise.

It can be used for athlete's foot and for underarm infections too, it's just Canesten's target audience is women because most women have a yeast infection at least once
nevermind lawl
I have a really large boil/abscess on my hand, it has a small white head the popped up this morning. I think it needs to be drained, it's golfball sized. Can i drain it myself or should I go to the ER?

Really? First thing nurses and doctors did was checking my ears by shoving this device thing right up there, those nurses are dumb because they jump to the treatment without having a diagnosis

Holy fuck that needs medical attention really soon. You should never let an infection get that serious.

they looked with one of those devices and they thought it was wax
the doctor explained later that it looked dark and stuff but it was actually liquid behind some membrane
I seem to get goosebumps for no reason whatsoever, anyone else experience this?

You'll probably need antibiotics with that... Though you can probably get away with it is you're careful
Assuming you have some broad spectrum antibiotics with you (or not), you'll need a surgical clean knife or whatnot, in the clean package it comes in. Otherwise it will just get worse and come back, and you will have to go to the ER, or at least a GP. Most pharmacies should sell them
Should film it so we can watch. Also, when they get that big they can be under quite a bit of pressure so it might spurt everywhere

Just kidding, it's cancer
Anyone know about heartburn-type stuff? I'm not keen on doctor visits, so if I can solve it with diet/basic things, that's better.
It's basically heartburn without actually hacking up stuff. I never get any burning acid-like material up my throat; in contrast with what I usually assume is heartburn. Instead, it's a low-to-moderate burning roughly at the base of my throat; internal. It comes and goes. I've been toying with my diet (cutting acidic things, having more calcium,) but that's not working. A single Tums can clear it up, but I don't want to keep popping these things.
Any ideas?

Greasy/fatty things can induce heartburn if you aren't careful, so cut down on the junk. Also, make sure that you are drinking plenty of water, instead of drinking sugary crap all day.
