So today I decided to try burning some paper by focusing light with a magnifying glass. In order to ensure the focus is perfect you have to stare directly at the superfocused spot of sunlight, so after staring for about 10seconds I gave up and went downstairs and I had the image burn on my eye which is not unusual.
But then like five minutes later I noticed a small circle of distortion in my field of view, which stayed the same size for about 10minutes then it changed to and arc shape and very slowly started increasing in size until it was gone from my fov after about 20minutes.
What the hell was that?
Hey guys, this is more of an unusual question, but it's regarding my cat.
A friend of my dad brought in our first (female) kitten about 2-3 years ago. The man found the cat drowning in some kind of bag in a river. He managed to save the cat and brought it to us. We took care of it. She's alright and already had a few healthy kittens which were adopted or taken care of by us. Now, there is a problem with her right ear. She seems to scream and show signs of pain when someone touches or scratches her right ear pretty much anywhere. She is healthy and doesn't have any problems with her health other than that. She seems to rub or scratch her right ear with one of her paws at least once a day and shouts quite loudly. Will this get any worse for her? I checked the ear when she was feeding a kitten and it doesn't seem bad - there's no blood or any wounds or anything like that. Should I take this to a vet?
yes, take her to a vet
im gay how do i fixi

You supersaturated the receptors in the back of your eye. Literally, you burned the image into the back of your retina. It goes away because your eyes flush themselves over time. You've never experienced this before? (btw its really bad for your eyes).
Occasionally I have trouble swallowing, like I'll start the swallowing process and it just won't go down (just spit, hasn't happened when I've been eating). I think it's anxiety or acid reflux or both (probably the latter caused by the former, which I suffer from). I don't have any of the other symptoms of reflux though, is there anything I should do before going to see my GP?
Any clue on how to stop pinworms?

Wash every day and don't scratch it.

BUTT IT ITCHES
(hah pun)
iirc, there's some drinkable meds at the pharmacy, actually. I'll try that.
Three things:
First of all, at times a small sliver of my head has sharp pain on and off about twice a minute for around three hours at a time. It fucking sucks. At times I'm afraid that my head is bleeding internally, but It's been on and off for months with no real other symptoms, so I guess it's just a thing.
Second thing, this is more of a wtf thing, sometimes my left big toe has a sharp pain and/or tickle (hard to describe) but it also always gives me the same feeling on the head of my dick. It's like wtf. I guess I'm just wired that way.
Third thing, this is another oddity about me. My thumbs cannot bend in the middle. Basically my thumbs are just two sticks that only bend at the base. They have a weird bulge on the side in the middle where the joint should be, but I've had that my whole life so it either can't be fixed or never was a problem to begin with. This fucks up my handwriting, though, and makes me terrible at using console controllers. But I've kind of gotten more adroit in the base joint of my thumbs, therefore making me a freako.
If in 3,000 years non-bending thumbs are a common trait, You'll know that I've passed my seed mighty fine.
I have stretch marks aaaaallllll over me
a ton on my arms and in my armpits, a ton on my waist, and a ton on the inside of my legs

It doesn't make sense though this is the first time I've experienced the "flush" and it was later on in the day with less intense light than the day before when I must have stared in total 4 times as long and nothing happened.
I just had an extremely sharp pain in the right side of my abdomen. It went away after a minute but it was really fucking painful. Should I be concerned?

If it happens frequently.
I'm 179cm and 59 kg, whats the best way to gain weight?
Eating myself fat is impossible due to my sky high metabolism

Ask /fit/ that very same question.
[sp]I dare you[/sp]
On top of the flu I had it also turns out I have an infected left ear.
Sore as hell and the liquid/pus buildup is disgusting. I can feel the liquid constantly.
Got some antibiotics though so I should be set. These earaches are pissing me off though.
Now I have a really dull pain in my right side while I'm standing. If I get the sharp pain again I'll probably get it checked out.

Does jumping make it worse?

Sorry for the late reply. Jumping didn't make a difference and now the pain is all gone.

Ok, good to hear. If jumping had been unbearable then it would likely have been Appendicitis.
Small white raised bulge on my right hand, it's very hard... What is it, some cyst?
Ganglion cyst, calcium deposit, swollen sweat gland... could be lots of things.
Painful?

No, doesn't hurt.

Well, for you Alien_Guy and Petrussen, my suggestion for gaining weight (preferably muscle mass) would be to eat a high calorie diet and work out. Hopefully, you will retain some of that extra energy through the development of muscle tissue, which requires the wear of your current muscle tissue to trigger development.
However, I do stress that you don't work yourself overboard. All that leads to is stress injuries, which suck ass.

Eat healthy, not too much and work out?
