Some of my toes are slightly red, numb and a little achy. The skin around em is white and dry, is it a fungal infection?
Pictures would be useful but it sounds like Athlete's foot. It is typically treated with an anti-fungal cream but it may also be treated orally. I would advise you to go to a walk-in clinic and they will be able to provide you with a more accurate diagnosis and treatment options.
My entire right arm (mostly the joints), the right side of my neck, and a spot on the lower right of my ribcage (like under the breast) has been hurting like hell all fucking day. I didn't even do anything to it (such as sleeping on it wrong, as it started to hurt well after waking up) and it isn't lessening either. Jesus Christ... And it's that kind of pain that makes you frustrated like some dickhead is pulling on your arm ridiculously hard and you just can't make it stop no matter what you do. Can hardly breathe because if I inhale too much that spot on my ribcage feels like it's being stabbed repeatedly. It has been at least 14 hours since this started and the pain has been on a scale of 7/10 constantly. Parents are out of town so getting to a doctor is out of the question for a while as I don't have a car. What do?

But could you call a friend or other relative? They should be fine with taking you to the goddamn hospital if you need to go.

My parents are coming back today however as I just remembered, so if it doesn't quit by then I'll tell them. If it wasn't 6 AM I'd call them right now. :l

Other chances is that it's a dislocated rib, which I doubt.

And if it was one of those pains, it would have stopped or at least lessened by then, NOT STAYED THE SAME FOR 14 HOURS.

And it started at least four hours after I woke up.

How to cure cold and cough ? Like, in 5 minutes.
hot water, lemon juice, honey and a paracetamol or two (and a dram of whiskey if you have it :v:)

Argh whatever. I've just never had this happen before so I didn't think it could be anything like that. Also, we don't have anything but cheap Tylenol knock-off. Would that work? I'd take a hot shower, but my skin is ridiculously high-temperature sensitive. What would feel cold to other people could feel unbearably and painfully hot to me. I don't understand it either. My definition of hot water is arctic lake temperature for normal people. I hope I don't come off as trying to make up excuses so I don't have to do anything (as people have attempted to call me out on that before trying to explain this), but I'm serious here...
Might as well throw this out there while I'm here... Sometimes I get the odd sensation that my internal organs are just a bit too big for my skeleton. It feels like they're pushing against my bones and stuff. It aches slightly. I know that my organs most likely aren't growing independently of my skeleton, but that's pretty much what it feels like for a few hours every other day or so.
Also, we don't have anything but cheap Tylenol knock-off. Would that work?
for the most part painkillers are painkillers, you have nothing to lose by taking it. but i don't know what's in it so make sure you read how regularly it says to take it, what i said only applies to paracetamol and ibuprofen. and okay don't have a hot shower, but just have a shower that feel comfortable to you, having something warm over your body nearly always makes you feel at least a little better
hot water, lemon juice, honey and a paracetamol or two (and a dram of whiskey if you have it :v:)
Been taking green tea with honey and hot served noodles. Coke (no whiskey here) to loosen up the throat mucus. Mango juice is fine too ?
not too sure about the mango juice, it tends to be thick, sweet and acidic so i imagine it would sorta stick in your throat and not make it feel any better. though you haven't said you have a sore throat, that was just an assumption as it usually comes with a cold and cough. also i wouldn't really recommend coke either, i don't see how that would loosen up anything if i'm honest - if it's making you feel better keep it up, but i can't see any physical reason why it would [editline]6th January 2013[/editline] green tea's always a good call but a little lemon juice is antibacterial and could help your throat recover (same with honey, very soothing)

It could be something like a gallstone, which would account for the pain in your rib cage but not for the pain in your arm.
So this is hopefully nothing but I was typing a message on steam and for a split second I felt like I completely just lost all senses like I was about to pass out, but it lasted for less a second. My eyes went wonky and I swayed about a little bit. Didn't want to shrug it off as nothing so I'm asking if it could be anything.
those are pretty vague symptoms, but to me it just sounds like a sudden drop in blood pressure - like when you stand up too quickly, though i appreciate you were probably sat down when it happened.
Didn't want to shrug it off as nothing so I'm asking if it could be anything.
it could be anything, it could be something, it could be nothing. unless it starts happening on a regular basis assume it's nothing, worrying about it is not worth it. [editline]7th January 2013[/editline] could be a palpitation type thing, but like i said, those are pretty vague 'symptoms'
Twisted my leg really badly at the skatepark, about to go to the hospital but in the mean time does anyone have any tips on how to make it heal faster?
Does anybody have any experience with damaged tailbones? My tailbone area (not sure if it even is my tailbone it's just around there) hurts if I sit down in a strange way or get knocked about a bit (when in a car). I know they can easily bruise but I don't really remember doing anything that could have caused damage in the last month or so. It's been irritating me for about two weeks now and I'm going to go and see the doctor soon. I just can't shake the feeling that I've got something like cancer down there and it scares me. I wish there was a way to just test it myself but as far as I know there isn't. Any ideas/help? I have been trying to find a way to workout on a regular basis for a while now. However recently I have been trying heavier weight with less reps, and there is this very sharp, throbbing pain in the back of head when I lift. My muscles are no where near worn out at this point, but the pain is so distracting I cant continue. It causes a lasting headache throughout the rest of the day and has a negative effect on my mood. I asked my mom what to do and she just says to take a painkiller. Shes missing the point that this is reoccurring. I also notice that sometimes when I stand up from sitting for a while, I have tunnel vision for a few seconds, but I think that's normal and unrelated. Any ideas?
see a doctor.
Could be something as simple as you're not drinking enough water when exercising,or severe as a brain tumour you better see a doctor tbh
I did the same workout today all the way through and I had a little pain in the same area while working out, but no lasting pain or headache. Today I have had some small strain in the bottom right of my neck I assume from sleeping wrong. I think this might have something to do with the way I sleep (I sleep on my side), maybe some joint being out of place or whatever. If the pain comes back, I'll definitely try to convince my mom to bring me to the doctor.
I didn't eat anything for four days now and in the words of the postal dude 'This can't be good for me but i feel great' Don't feel hungry or dizzy or anything
that's called fasting, many people around the world practice it for various reasons (health, religious etc.) and there's a ton of research that says it's actually very good for you. it gives your body a rest from digesting food and can also help your mind distinguish between real hunger and emotional hunger, instead of this i-must-always-be-eating feeling a lot of western cultures seem to push on us. personally i fast fairly regularly (have done two 24 hour fasts since monday) and it makes me feel really good. your body will tell you when you really need food, and it's bollocks that you go into 'starvation mode' after a day or so of not eating. 4 days is quite a lot though, you're almost certainly in keto now and should probably eat something, though your stomach has likely shrunk a bit and you won't be able to eat as much as you have been able to previously - however this doesn't have to be permanent. try some juice or soup, something healthy and easy to digest to get your body back into it. but don't be overly surprised that you don't feel weak or anything, bodies can be pretty remarkable. and you don't have to answer this, but i was wondering what your weight/height is? just 'cause i'm interested myself

Humans are designed to fast, apparently there was an obese man once who ate nothing for a year and just drank water, took multi-vitamins, and survived off his fat.

Went through some depression and anxiety for years, couldnt go to dentist, gums receeded. Anyone else have to deal with it? Anyways to get them back or am I boned?
