haha, not us, but the description is close. I do have semi-blond hair, but my bro is wearing a black shirt. Got to our hotel about five ours ago, and decided to go to Piccadilly Circus and walked down Shafteburry Ave. for a bit. Lots of clubs and casinos. Then we stuggled, but evetually, found a bus going back to the Marble Arch. Our hotel is on Edgware Road, so its arab culture and hookas as far as the eye can see. :v: I'll post when I can, but so far its pretty awesome here. Tomorow thinking about going to Bloomsbury to check out the British and Cartoon museums. If you're curious, I'll be wearing a blue collared shirt. And maybe to Charing Cross Road to check out local shops and book stores. Are they resonably priced there? Or is it a rip like most of the shops I've seen in the London area?
Yeah most things in London, and the UK in general, are gonna cost a bit more then they do in the states. Waterstones is probably the cheapest book shop/chain you'll find in London. Edgeware road is an interesting area haha. The bottom end of it is nice enough, near Hyde park etc, the top end... not so much :P There's a barber shop halfway down who were running a scam once, and got picked up on 419eater.com - needless to say hilarity ensued. Have you ever had a Kabab? If not try one. Just don't have too much chilli sauce. You'll regret it the next day.

I hope you're staying on the right side of the road!
If you get asked a question (i.e. what's the time?) The best response is alwaays: "Aww focken dick'ead wdafok, focken nock yeh aat"
My dad is thinking about going to Camden this afternoon/night. He says its a really good market place. Opinions?
My dad is thinking about going to Camden this afternoon/night. He says its a really good market place. Opinions?
Camden has a decent night life, you can meet loads of new ppl in bars/clubs etc. [editline]11:57AM[/editline] jus watch out for the chavs tho
Also, I'm not sure what exactly I'm going to do once there, my father has some plans, one including going to the Farnborough International Airshow. He's been to London himself a lot, at least once a month, so I assume he knows where the fun places are, and stuff like that. Edit: I'm getting a message that I can't bump my own thread for 59 days. v:v:v And I'm 16 btw
I live pretty much next to the Airshow. In London, get on the Northern Line and go to Camden Town, its awesome (and cheap if you aren't stupid)
Don't touch the fourth rail.
Look for the doctor

If you go right up to the Lock, just under the left side of the bridge there's a small alleyway full of tiny places to eat serving dishes from all over the world. Its weird, feels like a back-alley in Bangkok or something. Lots of Gothic gear around too if that's your thing, its generally a very multicultural and creative area. I was in 'the Worlds End' pub just across from the station the other day, quite nice when it gets lively. And there's the 'Underworld' underneath it, not a bad little venue.
Didn't go to Camden today, but judging from what you guys said, I'll definatly go tomorow.
Why base your whole trip around our individual preferences? Explore!
I'm pretty sure you can get them in USA too...
We got them in the states, fucking remember eating that shit when I lived in German orgasmicly delicious.
Being European, I'll tell you this: Hide the fact that you're American, we hate their forward attitude. In the west, people are alot more polite if so to say, and I know alot of Americans are very loud and hardly listens to people. Not everyone, far from everyone, but alot are. Oh, and, don't act all ignorant, we hate it when people act all ignorant. "Isn't like Russia shaped like a boot or something?". Trust me when I say, they'll frown you to death. [editline]07:37AM[/editline] Oh, and if someone yells "tosser", don't toss anything...
Wow, you give a bad name to europeans everywhere. From my experiences americans are often much more forward and friendly than most swedes I know.
I did go to Camden today. Went at 4:30. It was very fun, and I got a shirt. I bartered the shirt down to 7 pounds, which may seem a bit to you, but that same shirt would most likely be roughly 15 pounds back in the states. I doubt anyone of you was there today, but if you were, I was wearing a blue shirt with a tan-backpack that had a 101st "Airborne" patch attached to the back. There were a lot of goth items there, but the other stores and small vendors were fun to look around in.
Why base your whole trip around our individual preferences? I'm only seeking recommendations and advice to make this trip more enjoyable, not for you guys to create a schedule for me. :v:
From my experiences americans are often much more forward and friendly
Thanks, it means a lot to hear that. I have always received this notion that most Europeans think of Americans as idiots and just plain annoying. I've tried not to enforce that stereotype on my trip. The few residents who have approached me here have been extremely nice and helpful. :unsmith:
Employees actually get payed here so tipping isn't that important, unless they really deserve it. Try not to talk much incase you say something stupid, last time I heard Americans here they called a 700 year old stone tower "connnncreeeete".

Then I went to Fabrik. Got in a few hours ago. Gonna go die now. How long you got left in London?
