Yeah, those spikes in front are a bad idea.
And what's even worse is that those spikes are pussy spikes. If you're going to have spikes, put some of these on.
What state are you in? In some states, you don't need a permit to have a weapon on a motor vehicle. If you don't have to, then keep a shotgun on your back. People you drive by will have a conniption.
Steel pot refers to the American M1, the German helmets are referred to as "Stahlhelms" or "Steel Helmet"
Thank you, sir. I simply thought steel pot referred to the material, or type of helmet.( Steel pot, kevlar, pith... etc) I had no idea it was specific to the M1.
I can't wait to see this on the news: "A local motorcyclist is behind bars tonight, when what would have been a minor motorcycle accident took a turn for the worst, as a man was impaled through the head by spikes that were welded onto the front of the bike. The motorcyclist stated that he "Was just trying to make his bike look cooler"."
Look at the most recent picture at the bottom of page 1. The spikes are gone, broski. Put a leather rifle sheath on the front side, also drag those ammo boxes around a bit they look too new. Also take a sheet of metal and drill a bunch of holes in it, paint it matte black and drag it on the ground for a scratched look then weld it to either side of the bike. I envy, that's a pretty killer bike.
Put a lock on the gas tank lid.
Sir. You are fucking bad ass. I love you. When you ride this beauty through the ashes of our soon-to-be-fucked world, I want to ride with you
needs more random heavy plating
Those spikes are dangerous, you'll get sued like hell if you hit someone with that, and I think you'd deserve it. You're in the real world, not Carmageddon. If someone gets hit by that bike, not only do they face severe fractures, but they might get torn apart/punctured. Traffic is serious business brah Edit: Just read a few posts back, good job :P
Put a lock on the gas tank lid.
It has one built in. The same key that starts the bike also unlocks the gas tank. As for the boxes, I may do that, but I enjoy the ability to close them.
Sir. You are fucking bad ass. I love you. I wish I had a bike to screw around with. :frown:
Bad news everyone! I'm going to have to either build/buy a new ignition switch for my bike. While not awesome nor too interesting, this is going to take up most of the shop time I have with my bike for the next week or so.
Saddle up, my friend. We ride out at dawn.
Already suited up.
Where's the armor plating going? also, roll cage :V [editline]09:47AM[/editline] dude, truck horn
Where's the armor plating going? also, roll cage :V [editline]09:47AM[/editline] dude, truck horn
He's not lying. You need a truck horn
He's not lying. You need a truck horn
http://www.wolo-mfg.com/truck.htm I'm saving the money right now
http://www.wolo-mfg.com/truck.htm I'm saving the money right now
That requires a three gallon air tank... where will you put that and the compressor?
stick the compressor between your legs connected to the crankshaft with maybe a gear reduction so it pumps higher? valve control to open or close the air line to the horn?
That would be pretty fucking sick to see rolling down the street. Are you pretty satisfied with the colors? Or are you going to do some detail painting? Like scratches, buffs, things like that.
imo the color detail is absolutely perfect. It's hard to think of anything else it may need.... I think if the pipes come straight up, that'd be pretty cool [editline]10:05PM[/editline] STROKE OF GENIUS. Have the horn powered by the exhaust :science:
That would be pretty fucking sick to see rolling down the street. Are you pretty satisfied with the colors? Or are you going to do some detail painting? Like scratches, buffs, things like that.
I'll let the damage happen on its own, like it already has. Also, I'm actually opting for a smaller, 135 decibel horn. The air tank is small enough to fit into one of my ammo boxes. My ignition should be back on the bike by noon tomorrow if I wake up early enough. I'm probably going to take it to my little garage and start doing some sheet metal work on it.
The exaust horn could work, if you cut a hole in the exaust then have a electronic or manual valve that lets the exaust in when open'd and goes through a pipe leading to wherever you put the horn at producing the noise by going through the horn, I don't know how horns work other than they kind of work like a wistle.
I'm fairly sure there's a diaphragm that vibrates from the air to make the sound. And I was thinking a physical valve, would be more apocalyptic :v:
I may be getting a new bike today. Its a 1986 Honda VFR 750, and the dude is only asking $600 for it. I mean, look at that beast.
That's pretty goddamn awesome. Maybe make it a bit more rusted, sort of mad max style.
Also, I went on a magical adventure on the Courrier yesterday. It all started with a phone call "Hey, we're going down to the river, you want to come? Its for your stepmom's birthday, you know." A chance to visit my hippie relatives down by Warrior River? Why not! So I suited up and headed out. Wow. Some pretty nice scenery you got there.
That is a real nice looking room.
That is a real nice looking room.
Its the center of the house, and the other rooms are either up a story or down a story. Its got a really eco-friendly design.
