get skype then jesus its not hard , we can chit chat and do other silly things gOD BINSKY WHY ARE WOMEN SO DUMB???
Skype is worthless.
Shin splints were the reason I had to completely quit cross country freshman year. Just like you, I would start my run, feel the pain, but keep running and eventually forget about it. Every time we came back to stretch at the end of our run, I couldn't walk without limping severely. I remember I fell trying to get into my dad's truck one time. Literally felt like my shins were being drilled into and about to shatter into a thousand pieces... talk about the worst of pain. Even now, two years later, everytime I run more than a mile I can't stand the pain. All I was told to do was stretch. Edit: The trainer at my school said that my calf muscle was growing too large or something, causing an extreme pressure because it was too big for the "sheath." Something to that effect.
Skype is worthless.
youre worthless if you wont get skype god , add meo n steam then , no1 needs binsky anyways

I'll just have to force myself to take it easy for awhile. Sorry to hear about that, by the way. That sounds rough. :(

Gosh you guys are cool
Thanks, bro, you p cool yourself
get better running shoes - asics gel series, go on runnersworld.com to find good shoes. do not run with shin splints. after recovery from shin splints, run easy, never difficult, and lower the time that you run. increase intensity of running slowly run from heel-to-toe. unless you are sprinting, there is no need to land on balls of feet

I'll look into it.
Thanks, bro, you p cool yourself
Awww thank you
Bro, I'm here to love. And yeah I didn't mention protein but I guess I kinda assumed that was a given. Good call. Better to be thorough

Heel-to-toe running is the whole reason why shinsplints and other running related problems arise. Humans weren't designed to run with shoes on, so that's why virtually everyone gets running injuries at some point in their life. That's not normal, humans aren't supposed to get shinsplints and shit. Really want to kiss shinsplints and other running related injuries goodbye? Either run barefoot or buy a pair of Vibrams Five-Fingers. Barefoot running eliminates all of those problems and teaches you proper running form, which involves displacing the impact throughout your foot and into your muscles instead of straight into your bones/joints like heel-to-toe running does.
As an aside, wearing shoes affects your deadlift strength as well. Go natural go baree foot~

JOG from heel-to-toe. He is to jog slowly, and VERY SLOWLY(over the course of weeks) increase the intensity of his running. I want him to jog from heel-to-toe which is to slow his running speed. Gradually, he can move to running from balls of feet/midfoot. Shin splints are from either overuse or poor RUNNING form, that is, RUNNING from heel-to-toe. Running from heel-to-toe will negatively impact his whole leg, effectively losing acceleration every time he lands on his heel as well as affecting his achilles tendon/shin. Anyway, back to recovering from your shin splints, 1. rest for a week or so. if the shin splint is within 48 hours, apply ice. all the time. 2. jog SLOWLY re-reading your post - your shin splints could very well be from over-running since you say you hate taking breaks. how long are you running for during your sessions?

Never had much of a problem before, but like I said, increasing the slope has been harder on my legs. It's kind of hard for me to rest a week, but I'll try. Last time this happened, I started getting the urge to run again by the second or third day and I'd end up doing it again. I iced it and took anti-inflammatories religiously, but it still took weeks for it to fully heal. That was a huge pain in the ass and I don't want that to happen again. So I'm really going to try my hardest to be the best couch potato I can be. Thanks for the info, by the way. :)
my bunbun has returned :3 how are you ?
